I know most of you will say priceless, but if you put your Gi Joe collection to a number, roughly how much do you think its worth?
If you care to share, how long have you been collecting?

I have been collecting for a year now and I would say my collection is worth roughly $2,500.

This one is just for fun, its not to call anyone out for being a hoarder or to say you don't have enough joes either, And no I do not work for the IRS.

From vintage to now, with rare, exclusive and prototype figures.. I have a pretty extensive collection. I know that I ensured them with my home insurance for $7500. Not sure if that is their value.. but considering how much their is.. I think that is a fair price.

As much as someone would be willing to pay for it. I have everything from '82-'86 nothing MOC and not sure if complete...Then I jump to some JvC and VvV. Most of my ME is figures only. I would guess a couple thousand maybe more.

I'd say probably 372.87.

Just kidding. I really don't know. I have a few vintage pieces that might garner some green, and I have a fairly large ME collection. I got back into Joes in '07 with the 25th. I have very few of the original Joes from my childhood.

This is going to be painful... I have to say that I do alot of customs so glue, paint, dremel part etc add up and then the figures. In a very loose number, I would guess I spent $25,000 to $30,000. If I were to sell everything on "ebay", I am guessing I would get 10 grand. Yes this is painful.

Probably less than I paid for it. I only have a few 'collector' type items and most of my stuff is opened. The increase in price of collector items won't make up for the depreciation of the rest.

1 million dollars! Of course I know its not even a fraction of that but I can wish can't I.

Let's see here, approximately 120 ME figures and vehicles, all loose, I'd say about 1k.

I just sold most of my collection. This was all the stuff from my youth and a lot of modern stuff. If you looked at the prices I paid when I was young, my parents paid, and considering the modern stuff I bought mostly on clearance.....I definetly profited. My killerwhale that had broken pieces....and I clearly stated that in the auction, went for $86 plus shipping. My childhood Joes sold for about a grand. I had the first 5 years and sold them in 3 chunks. I am not completly out of Joe collecting. I am just keeping the best version of each character and the modern are better than the vintage in the way I am looking for.

It did break my heart to sell the stuff, but I have a Star Wars room in my house and I had a Joe room in my basement. Something had to go. I did keep some troop builders....4 zombie vipers, 3 hazzard vipers, 6 of the latest cobra soldier. Still love the stuff just had to reduce.

I am not done selling everything, but almost. I gave my friend the joe headquarters to customize for a sw clone base.

I would have done better to sell in smaller chunks, but am happy with what I made.

My collection is worth around $5,000 - $6,000 if I sold it today on E-Bay.

Hmmm, I'm gonna say "not much".

The only things I have of note are:

100% Night Raven (restored)
100% (with mint box) Tactical Battle Platform
90% Moray Hydrofoil (restored, no lens)

Excluding my beat-up childhood stuff in a big ol' box in my closet, everything else is modern.

ANYWAY. A number?

I'd say $600 - MAX.

I have no idea, but I still have all my Joes from 82 through today and I only ever stopped collecting between 95 and Joe vs Cobra, and I went back and filled in a lot of the gaps. I have like all of them. Well, not all of them because I don't have the original Grand Slam or MMS and such, but I still have like Breaker and Clutch and what not. I've got the Wolverine. That thing rocks. I have the Lynx too.

I started in 2009 and have spent over 20k. The collection isn't worth 20k, No one on here can get every penny back they've put into their collection. I collect Sideshow, which is a huge chunk of it, I have 98% of all the Joe 12" and statues from SS. I also have Ironman, Star Wars and others from SS.

My fiance thinks I should be on that show 'My crazy obsession', but I told her my Joe collection isn't the largest, so I can't go on the show! :)

I actually keep an updated inventory of my collection for insurance purposes, so I have a pretty fair assesment (not best guess). The joe part of my collection is just under $12,200 while my overall action figure collection is at $21,850. I haven't inventoried any vehicles or bases though. The only thing I have inventoried and totaled are action figures.

Well I just sold nearly a grand worth of convention figures and it didn't even free up one shelf in my Deltof cabinet.
I've got 8 Sideshow figures which are easily worth a grand. Beyond that I have no clue. I have every figure from 07-now (minus a few of the variants and convention figures). I have about 350 vintage figures as well as about 50 international figures. I have a ton of figures and vehicles and really have no clue what everything is worth. Plus I buy and sell like crazy so my collection is constantly changing. So the answer is I have no damn clue.

I honestly don't know. My collection is far from the biggest, yet also far from the smallest. I have been collecting for the better part of 22 years non stop. At the moment I have it insured for roughly $10,000 so I'm gonna go with that.

I've been collecting for around 6-8 months and spent around $1000-$1500 and it is worth about that. I have a Renegades Storm Shadow so maybe $30 more

I myself collect many toy lines but gi joe has always been number one. I have every arah to modern era figures and vehicles to date. I have a ton of carded figures from arah, even have a very mint grade worthy 9.0 duke. I also have every carded figure from 1988 to modern! Uss flag complete, terror dome complete, and more. Every convention exclusive from 2004 to me in doubles. If i had to estimate my collection i say i spent well over 30,000 sad but so true :(

Hey man sorry, lol

Guys no regrets its an awesome hobby to have, yes I haven't spent as much as some of you but I don't think I will ever look back and be bummed about what I have spent or will spend in the future. Everything I have has some kind of good memory. I look at my collection and think wow I went through alot to get so and so or dam I got that for a steal on ebay. The best ones are the trades I have done on the tank. I love seeing the customs tankers have done with the stuff I have traded to them and I really appreciate the stuff I get in return. I have seen some of your colletions in the showcase thread and you guys inspire me to collect more. Thanks for sharing.

My joe collection is worth less than the cost to replace it. :) I'm affraid to think about it. over $6k at an average of $5 a figure. But I did just buy 8 25th Stingers and I'm about to go to over 60 Zombie vipers. All my other troop building craziness. so I really don't know.

I did the math and my Joe collection would be worth between 4-5,000. Most of it ME. I don't have too much of the vintage. Most of my collection starts from 97 on.

My collection, if you can even call it that, certainly isn't worth all too much. $200 - 250 seems like a fair estimate.

Based on my calculations, and careful study I would have to say in the neighborhood of $35K - $40K. Before you guys scream pics or it didn't happen, I'll post pics up tomorrow. I have multiples of just about every vehicle from 82-94, including 2 complete Flaggs, 5 Rolling Thunders, 9 Skystrikers, 10 Whales including 2 NF variants, a complete Defiant, complete General, 2 MCC's, 6 morays, 6 mambas, 10 Maggots, and the list goes on. Plus I have most of everything from 97 on except convention exclusives. A lot of the newer stuff is still boxed, but I also have a lot of doubles of those as well. I've been meaning to put up more pics but have been a lazy bastard.

I'm in the same boat. I have mostly new stuff, being that my small collection of vintage mostly have broken thumbs and that I opened most of my new collection for display. I would say my collection is worth about half of what I paid for it (which is about $700).

And by "Worth", that's how much i would make if I sold and marketed it myself, over time. To someone who would take it all in pawn, I would probably not get a whole lot more than $150.

Damn hard thing to value. 10 box sets and exclusives (open and bagged) from the last 5 conventions (including SDCC) are my top dollar items. I guess what I could get for it and what I paid really varies. Shit this a hard question. Then figure in one of everything 25th open and an extra or two of hard to find stuff. Then the vintage stuff and GJCC Membership figures.

I figure I've got about $10 worth of plastic crap after my house burns down and it melts to oblivion. Maybe I could get some scrap metal dollars for the leg screws I recover.

Only counting ME figures... (I have a ton of o-rings that I can't fathom the value of)

$35 about. :D

Just a loose Jungle BAT, Techno-Viper, and Renegades Cobra Trooper.

I'm so glad I have more arriving in the post.

All ARAH 1000 figures and 400 vehicles mostly loose and complete with customs plus filecards and vehicle boxes. If I parted it all out maybe $30-35K max. I like to think I spent a lot less on it than that.
