Has anyone seen the trailers? If so what do you think? Typical zombie game or something more?

yes i bought it, its like resident evil 4 but in space on an abandoned space ship. same over the shoulder view as re 4, same type of aiming, it is a really good game.

If you're into survival horror, this game is a must buy. It's scary as hell.

I got it earlier today and I've been playing almost non-stop all day.

I've been waiting on this game since I read about it around a year or so ago.

It's also got a 6 issue comic that's out and a CGI movie coming out at the end of the month.

It's October, after all. How could you not want a Spooky game?

Event Horizon (movie) meets Gears of War (game) meets John Carpenter's The Thing (movie) meets Condemned (game). Scary oogie boogie. Good times.

I hear its rly good. It like a cross between Aliens and a zombie movie. Its rly brutal and scary. I'd love to get it but I don't have a PS3 or 360.

I picked this up just a couple of days ago. I actually traded in Silent Hill:Homecoming to get it (which should speak volumes if you know anything about survival horror).

It's a game that blends several ideas from different genres and lifts little bits from the best sci-fi horror movies from the past 25 years, but does it smooth like butter, and the outcomes is one of the best games I've purchased in the last 10 years. It has my highest personal recommendation, and is worth the full price.

Oh, if you've already picked it up, be sure to download the free Obsidian Armor for PS3 while it's still available for free. The extra item slots are a lifesaver.

no online play? im sold!!! I hate online play stuff..thats what ruined halo three. they focused so much on their online crap that they just snarfed off the saingle player mode so its good to hear a game that focused on the offline rather than online. Im so buying this game.

you are right one the halo 3 part, but these game would be so bad ass with like a co-op campaign mode or just to run around and slay human ailens

Too many titles and companies are focusing on solely online stuff and downloadable content so anymore it seems that ya pay 65 bucks for a game then ya have to pay more to get the rest of it online? and what happens if your harddrive takes a crap? ya have to go back and pay again to dl the same thing so ya im rather against all this massive online stuff especially in these tough times. Either finish the game with everything in it or put all that stuff on a seperate disc like oblivion did with their two expansions.

Ranting aside the game looks sick as hell and i am jonesing for it especially since i need some new games :>

how's the resistance 2 beta. I got an e-vite for it today but haven't had time to get to it. I've played the call of Duty WaW beta for a while and it's pretty slick (just wish it was a modern era game again, oh well)
As far as the on-line play goes, I would gladly give-up on line play to get split screen co-op back (thanks goodness for Gears 2) How can they make racing games like Pure and MotorStorm and not have 2 player split screen? Nothings worse than having a buddy come over and you can't even play against 'em. (At least motorstorm 2 will support 2 player split screen)

I'm playing it on Xbox 360 and I must say that the atmosphere created by the game is incredible and no least important... dismembering enemies rocks!! As other members have said it's a must have for survival horror fans.

its pretty crazy .. biggest game i played on was 45 players it was chaotic and fun.. but moved on to the 6player co-op and been running though that.. so far the game is pretty awesome looks gorgeous on 1080p .. im curious to check out WaW i love WW2 based games.. how's the flamethrower ? all the reviews ive read compare it to cod4 so im happy about that

I don't have a console to play it, but found the commercials were so intriguing, that while at Target searching for Joes, I saw the Cartoon movie they made for it and couldn't resist seeing what all the commotion was about so I bought the DVD...I personally Loved it although the Animation isn't as groundbreaking as they claim-it was still good though, and the plot was pretty cool as well...All in all it was a no regrets purchase, now if I could only play the game to see what happens next...
