If you look hard enough at you tranny you can tell they're men. Look at his/her/its facial features. Looks very strange. Kinda like an alien.

Well most transgenders can legally have their sex changed on documents and other papers, such as marriage licenses, drivers licenses, Social Security cards, etc.

So personally, if this individually legally was female it was discriminatory.

Unless the contests rules state no transgender contestants, then it's completely unwarranted legally. Even having a no transgender rule is discriminatory.

I could see them disqualifying a guy in drag or a cross dresser, but a legally female transgender contestant who didn't break any contest rules, no.

You can just chalk this up to more of this garbage that happens every day. Yeah it's not right, but it's going to happen no matter what sadly.

They disqualified her for lying on the application. They specifiaclly ask if you were naturally born a woman and she checked off yes, when this is not true.

I GUAR-AN-TEE she knew this would happen, put her and her cause in the spotlight, maybe get some lawyers and money involved, etc., and THAT was the whole reason behind doing this. PUBLICITY! She knew this would happen and THIS is what she wanted.

Where do you draw the line, because it HAS to be drawn somewhere. Im so sick and tired of the fuckin PC police trying to tell me Im a bigot or a racist, etc., because I have a differing opinion. Hell, I know a guy who identifies himself as a women but he IS a man ("Thats a man, baby!"). She he be allowed to enter MISS Universe because he identifies as a women but doesnt have the cash to change over permanently?

Ive got nothing against the women or anyone who is like this. I have gay friends that Im really close to and I have no problem saying that because if someone wants to make a snide comment it just shows me how ignorant they are. But I think in cases like this, there needs to be a line. Miss Universe should only be open to women who were born women, or youre opening up a GIANT can of worms. What about men who have a sex change to be a women then are allowed to play womens professional sports? I just think there needs to be a line for EVERYONE. Its not about excluding one person or one group of people. Its about basic rules that EVERYONE must follow. Maybe that makes me a bigot but I dont think so. Maybe in 100 years my great-great grandkids will think this was a stupid topic because gender doesnt matter anymore.

That always has to come up when such a topic arises... Ugh, but I digress as society will never progress.

Ah, okay, I just skimmed through the article, so I didn't see all of that.

In that case it's her fault, but she probably knew this would happen. Maybe she was just trying to make a point?

But, genetically, isn't her chromosome pattern that of a male, so genetically she can never truly be female. She can only have the outward appearance of a female even if they changed her junk to female parts.

Correct. All the surgeries and hormones one can endure will never make one TRULY the opposite gender.

The key is the pageant is for women. Going thru surgeries to become a woman, in my opinion, is kinda unfair. You go through tons of surgery to basically have your appearance altered so much that you aren't recognizable as who you once were. If you have to alter everything about yourself in order to compete then you basically have am advantage.
But as others have said, the pageant is for women. That means born a woman. You can't change your generic makeup no matter how hard you try. I just think the double standards are crap. If this was an NBA player who had a sex change would people allow him in the WNBA? Highly doubtful. Why? Probably because he would have a physical unfair advantage. However if he wants to be in a female only beauty pageant then that's ok. Just because you get a sex change, you are not a woman. That's just my opinion. You are what you were born.
