i noticed bbts has a preorder for a good looking vehicle voltron. its very expensive though. $260 for 13 inches...

i was wondering if you all could share info on the best version of the vehicle voltron.

i have no idea.

i had one back when i was a kid along with the original lion voltron. if they rereleased the original id go for that for sure. have there been any rereleases?

so basically, i have the 1997 rerelease of the original lionforce set and i have a subscription for matty's new lion set. i was looking for some that would go well with these 2.

That's pretty cool, but Mattel is getting all of my Voltron money this year, lol. Hopefully they'll continue the sub and eventually do a vehicle set. I believe there was talk about that awhile ago in the Voltron Classics thread (or maybe the Voltron to G.I. Joe size comparison thread..), but there is a website with some info around somewhere..

he is def the "other" voltron for me, but i did have it as a kid and was looking for a reissue of good quality.

It's really tempting, but I'm hoping Mattel eventually does a vehicle Voltron (okay they probably won't, but how cool would a 23" version be?!). Is there a Lion Voltron that's in scale with this version?

I would love a Vehicle Voltron from Mattel. As I said in the MotU thread, I just don't know how likely that would be.

I agree. The Classics line seems to be doing well from what I've heard, but there still seems to be some trepidation concerning it's future. I'd love to see Mattel expand on the Classic Universe and then move into the Vehicle Universe. At least an SDCC exclusive Vehicle Voltron that's inscale with the SDCC Lion Voltron would be nice for now. I wonder if there will be an Voltron exclusive this year.

it shouldnt be too hard to figure out. just make the size equal the lion voltron overall and then shrink the pilots to fit. or just forget about the pilots altogether. were there 15 pilots to that thing?

Yep,there were 3 teams(air,land and,sea)that combined into 3 different ships.each group had 5 vehicles.

What I heard was BBTS got a cease and desist order from Mattel 'cause they have the Voltron license now.

They sent an e-mail to people who had pre-ordered the item.

Mattel supposedly made it clear that they wouldn't be doing anything with the vehicle voltron at Toy Fair. CollectionDX talked about the C&D situation on their youtube show. You probably still be able to buy the vehicle Voltron, but you'll have to buy it from an Asian seller like Hobbylink Japan.

I have a Knock-Off Vehicle Voltron I got from TRU a few years back. I think they actually used the Matchbox molds, The think dissambles into all the vehicles and combines into Voltron as well as the the Air, Land and Sea configurations. I even still have the box it came in.
