I almost picked up "Round One" today. I couldn't make myself do it though. Mainly because I'm with you on the "hero vs. hero" stories. They're normally pretty weak. I might still change my mind...

I liked seeing the Serpent Society in it. I didn't mind the prologue. I have to wait til next week for AvX #1.

I traded a complete set of 1987 Topps cards for Amazing Spider-Man #129 and Incredible Hulk #181 when I was in the 4th grade. Your copy is no doubt in much better condition than mine.

Though 1987 was one of the greatest years for baseball, what with the twins winning the world series, it was a terrible time for baseball cards. That's a great trade no matter what the condition.

It was a great year for the Giants and the A's. I traded them to my friend who was a big fan of both teams. The comics were actually his brother's, so he (almost literally) made out like a bandit.

I spent a chunk of the weekend organizing my longboxes. I combed through them for issues of the Walking Dead that are destined for the sales block and ended up re-reading Planetary, a good chunk of Starman, Savage Dragon, and Legion of Three Worlds.

Yeah, My wife was grabbing the Turtles print and I mentioned how I wish he had something Iron Man... the guy next to him at that moment put down that piece that he had just finished.

$10 later, I have another piece to my Iron Man collection :)

I picked up Marvel "what the" issue 3, Fantastic Four 247, and Fantastic Four 244 for $6 at a consignment shop the other day. They are pretty cool to see, even though I even't gotten around to reading them. The only flaws I see is a red pen makring on the upper left corner of each.

I actually plan to now cut back on toys and continue the trend... nearly finished an FF run from 200 to 350 (300-345 to go), working on a Cap run from 245 to 400 or so (30 issues to go), Iron Man from 200-300 (40 issues to go), Incredible Hulk from 300-430 (missing 5 books), Avengers from 100-400 (yeah, I know I have a ways to go-especially with the movie), and Groo from 1-120 (missing about 30). Working on other smaller series as well as I just completed Surfer 1-100, Thunderbolts and New Warriors....

Also got the Fathom (Wondercon exclusive), Fathom Kiani (Incentive Covers) and ICHIDO Book 0 by Tomas Overbai (Local Artist here in Sacramento, CA).

I loved those comics that you posted in the MU Thread Pig. I really want to start getting into the old school avengers...but right now I am focusing on getting back issues of the X-Men. Most of the new comics don't do anything for me however, my lcs guy gave me the first couple books of Age of Apocalypse, I'm enjoying that run actually.

My collection is spread over a few bookshelves, a closet, a shed, and around and under my art desk......It would be easier to do a 10 minute video honestly....
And I only have about 26 boxes at the moment (after my garage break-in incident).......My truly awe-inspiring collection is my digital comic on DVD collection!!!! :)

I picked up Battle Beasts #2 yesterday and found a package deal of all the gijoe: order of battle books for $4 yesterday. All were in great shape! Not to mention it was a bogo, I got second pack of Ultimate marvel comics.

Not bad. Still didn't get the latest issue of Gijoe and Cobra. My pull file service stinks.

Two of my favourite series of all time. I got most of the Champions issues for $1 each because they guy who owned the store had never heard of them before, lol. Huge Iron Fist fan as well and I have almost every single comic he's appeared in, (including DHOKF). No way I'm shelling out for #14 though.
