Anybody Having Any Luck Finding The Later Thor Waves?

I've been hoping to find waves 3 & 4 for the Thor Movie Line without resulting to eBay.
Anyone had any luck finding these? Seems like they only went to Canada.
I'm hoping they may turn up at some of the discounters.
I did get Heimdall off of ebay, but I was dissapointed in the Limited articulation for him. Such a good looking figure, they really should have went all the way with his posability.
With that said, it looks like the Captain America Line has been killed by the Avengers line?
Any Thoughts?

As you stated we know they are in Canada. I imagine a similar situation as to the POC Hiss Scout/Ashiko wave where we will see it at Ross (or somewhere similar) in a few months.

You might want to check Fred's stores if you have them.

My local one still has Hogun, Fandral and a couple others. Don't recall seeing Heimdall, but that's a deluxe figure right?

King Loki, King Laufey, and Sif are fetching $40-$60 each on eBay right now.
I like the line, but not that much.

You won't find them looking in the G.I.Joe section. try the Marvel section, stores generally group all of the Marvel lines together.

No Fred's in my area, but we do have a Ross opening soon. Heimdall is a deluxe figure. I think the wave 2 Deluxe figures went straight to Canada as well. Never saw those anywhere.

I saw the wave with Lady Sif one time at TRU just before X-mas and that was it.

BBTS had them for pre-order many, many, MANY moons ago which is how I got my Waves 2-4.

Wave 2 showed up at Walmarts and Targets in fair numbers. I bought a Volstagg on clearance the other day.

Freds got Wave 2 as well BUT they want $12 each for them. Yeah.

Wave 4 showed up at Meijers and TRU in very small numbers and could, in theory, still pop up. The L.O.C. found a Sorcerer Fury Loki (the blue one) at a TRU not too long ago.

Wave 3, to my knowledge, has NEVER shown up in a brick-and-mortar store. There's speculation as to whether or not they will appear at liquidators like Ross and TJ Maxx. Hasn't happened yet, though.

I could see Waves 2, 3 and 4 showing up at TJ Rosshall's at some point...or Canada.

I want to army build black Destroyers.

The Thor line is glory and deserved to have been more successful than it was. They are very aesthetically pleasing all posed together. Lovely colors.

Thanks for the info, I agree with you that the Thor line should have much better. Kinda like ROC, they flooded wave 1 and by the time wave 2 got out, wave 3 & 4 were forgotten.
I did have luck with finding wave 2 around December.

This King Loki works for me...and I'll just wait if Sif and the rest of gang shows up at Ross..you're right I like the line but not 40-60 bucks a figure

I found Mandarin/Whiplash (comic style) at Toys R Us around Christmas actually... the one I go to a lot had at least 4 of each. Almost grabbed the rest to offer up at cost+ship but I only had a 20 in my pocket.

Around me stores never got past wave 1 on Thor. They had wave 1 from the time the line started right up until they clearenced out what was left there when the Avengers line started.

For the Captain America line they managed to get all 4 waves out in pretty good amounts. I saw every figure from all 4 waves at least a couple times and that includes the comic color version of both the wave 3 and wave 4 Hydra Troopers.

I think i still have an extra set of the warriors 3 ill double check when i get home...ive seen them plenty of times at fred meyers, at one point had four sifs and 3 sets of the three. Ive only seen king loki once and stupidly passed on him. Heimdal is a cool looking figure but suffers from lack of articulation, typical of all marvels movie lines.

Thor was a great line if they had gotten the distribution right. They actually made all the major players which is rare for Hasbro.

I found 2 Whiplashes (the comic one from the Mandarin wave) at Burlington Coat Factory just the other day. Our Burlington didn't always have a toy section but they put one in. They also had, of course, MARS Troopers, $15 ROC Dragonhawk and Ice Dagger...some other IM2 action figures and Spider-Man action figures, but worth a look-see if you have a Burlington Coat Factory near you.

I haven't seen the later waves since around Christmas and that was at TRU. Since then it's only been waves 1 & 2 that I've been seeing.

I was very blessed and found one of the big Destroyers at TRU some months ago. Only one I have ever seen.

It's more in scale with the movie action figures than the carded ones are. This is the bright silver rotocast Destroyer.

I use it as the general of my Destroyer army.

Check your TRU's again. Just scored these today, but the prices have gone up to $9.99, but I got them for $7.99 since the old tags were still up and the BOGO half off tag was still up, so got that deal as well.
