That is the question my friend found one and wants to know if he should jump on it? I told him I've seen ones that were graded go for over a grand. So what would you do?

Are the bright orange missiles now solid gold... No
Then my answer is No. Best of luck selling it for that price.

Nope I would put that money towards a sealed sky raven instead. And I still wouldn't pay much for the sky raven either. 600 is way to high. Have you friend so a search on ebay for a raven but look at the ones that have sold already. You have to click the tab for completed sales.

I don't think so. I'm seeing 356 on ebay, but that isn't MISB. It is MIB.

Graded and ungraded are 2 different creatures and attract different types of collectors.

Ebay has unassembled box ones going in the $400 range, so is $200 worth it for glue.

What's the point of having it MISB. I have 2; one complete. This is one of those similar to the Flagg where you want to have it displayed. Having the box is nice though. In my opinion having something MISB is only good if you are looking to sell it down the road.

Only Epic Steven would go $1500 a pop. I heard he has 13,499 of them and is looking to buy.

It depends on the quality of the box in question, and the reputation of the seller. As for me, I would never buy a mint in sealed box vehicle. And I'm never spending $600 on a night raven

No I am not. lol. When I want something I will pay for it...do I need one of these? no.. but if I did and it was MISB on an AFA gradable Box damn skippy I would...it sometimes takes a mantoy bid to win on Ebay. I drop 1500 in the last minute of the auction i win usually...but that is only done for very very special items...The Night Raven is a prime example. Its one of the best vehicles ever made imop...and again if I needed it, I would drop $1500 to get it no problem.

MISB is pretty cool. But I think I would rather have the minty Raven loose, assembled and displayed and a minty box to go with it.

Alright I'm a little confused what would you consider an AFA gradable Box? lIke any flaws in the box allowed. He said it has 2 small holes and that's it?

Good call its a toy ive always wanted when I do get one I want it in the best condition possible, would love one misb with a great conditioned box and also another mint but loose and complete!

Nope. That is a lot of coin for one toy. I'm not looking down on those who would, but I'm a loose collector and haven't paid $600 for my 6 Night Ravens and Sky Raven put together. But then again I'm a loose collector so take it how you will.

Where are the holes? And no, if its got holes, its not sealed so not worthy of my price points, at that point it would drop below $175 tops. Sounds like somone punched holes in it to to look inside lol..kinda like getting a brick in a resealed joe vehicle box...not cool......

No holes are minor. They are very small. Looks like something from inside the box pressed through the card board itself.

It depends on the condition. I'd have to see it first.

If there is holes in the box I wouldn't grade it MISB. Sealed is a very black and white term. I think holes in a box would make it unsealed. Also I wouldn't pay 600 dollars for a GI JOE toy. Thats just me though. :)

I would if I had more disposable income. What is your friend's financial situation? If he can afford it, then I say go for it. If not, then he should probably hold off.

Depends on the condition of the box and whether it is still factory sealed.
If someone found one in a wharehouse still sealed in a factory shipping box and it was "mint"(the box condition) and still factory sealed then it may go for $600 on eBay...maybe more......maybe less.
This is not a yes or no question :)
Nor are we in a sellers market right now so for one that is still sealed that has been floating from collection to collection most of it's life and the box shows signs of wear then I would say $600 is not a price where the seller really wants to sell it fast/badly.

He said it is factory sealed. Will have to get pics and post them in a couple of hours. I will go see it when I get off of work.

$600.00 too much cheddar for a Night Raven, I would tell your friend to reach out to the community and see what is out there. I am sure some one has a MISB that they are willing to part with for a decent price. Unless it flies itself $600.00 is overkill.

If I had the money, and I bought it, I would open it and assemble it. I never had one and still don't have one, but would love a minty one I freed from its prison and assembled myself.

hell and no!

Buy a Flagg for that even though it wouldn't be a MIB Flagg, still a better investment if that's the way you look at it. If it's the last item he needs for a complete MIB collection, then sure, I'd see spending that kind of coin on it but otherwise, no way.

Tell him to go for one of the 3 sky ravens that are with the box (1 is loose 1 is MIB and one is MISB). He could then get a very very good raven with the left over change or do like everyone else is saying and just get a Flagg.

I would recommend passing on this one for $600. I think there is just enough condition issues with it that he would not get a good enough grade with AFA to make it worth the investment.

I do not think there is anything wrong with spending $600 for this toy, but it needs to be a mint sealed box. A while ago, I paid $180 for a MISB gold head steel brigade in the mailer tube with filecard. Everyone said I was stupid for spending so much at that time. Now, I could not get that for less than $500. So, spending money now for a better investment in the future is not a bad idea. He just has to make sure the box is perfect, because $600 is top dollar right now.
