So St. Patrick's Day is Saturday. We all have traditions, most which involve massive alcohol consumption. However, for about 10 years now, my friends and I get together and watch The Boondock Saints. The past couple years we've also watched the squeal All Saints Day.
For those who haven't seen the Boondock Saints, well first shame on you. The movie is about twin brothers who get into a bar fight (on St. Patrick's Day) and eventually kill a couple guys from the Russian Mob. Thinking that God has chosen them to do his dirty work, they (along with their bumbling idiot sidekick Rocco, who is the do-boy in the Italian Mafia) set out to rid the world of evil, one scumbag at a time. However FBI agent Paul Smecker (played by Willem Dafoe) is hot on their trail. Smecker is the best the FBI has and he also happens to be gay but homophobic at the same time.
The movie is a great action shoot em up but also has some great comedy. Even Ron Jeremy makes a cameo. So this St. Patrick's Day, do yourself a favor and check out The Boondock Saints.
Here's a clip of Rocco flipping out after he whacks a couple guys at a restaurant. Caution- the movie is rated R so there's a bit of strong language in the clip. Nothing you've never heard on the Tank though...
