I thought $15.29 was a lot but the CVS in my areas lowered them back to $11 about two weeks ago.
As for that POC Snake Eyes @ $16+ will be there for a very long time.

As a kid I collected baseball cards. If I walked into a retailer and their prices were really high, I would use a 5-finger discount to take out my revenge.

I am not suggesting you do the same. Well, maybe I am.

I'd say yes. However far you went to find that selling for that price is too far. Try not to venture out that far anymore.

Yah, Walgreens is a little better 12 for a fig here. I do check them once in a while sometimes you find stuff you wouldn't find at Walmart.

What's hard to comprehend?

It's a drug store. Drug store prices are always high because they don't deal in a high volume and the store needs a bigger mark-upb because of the low volume.

And if it was a Storm Shadow people would be going nuts to get it at that price.

Who would use the words "Great" and "War" in the same title let alone the name of a product aimed at kids?

I could see it being $11 or $12 at a Drug Store, but $16 is, in fact a little hard to comprehend.

Even for a drug store, that's pretty high. And, I suppose that's the point.

DaveViper
03-14-2012, 03:12 PM
What gets me is walgreens is selling them for 12 so I would figure CVS would try to be at least competitive. Yes I know there whole business doesn't depend on the sale of action figures but come on. Does anyone compete anymore? I will never understand retail.

It's their annual "One for the Price of Two!" sale.

DaveViper
03-14-2012, 03:18 PM
A long time ago when I worked at walmart we would send secret shoppers to other stores to make sure we had the best price. Now Walmart I think just price matches. The price point to me is high even for a drugstore. I guess CVS is doing really good on the drug side of the house. Or maybe like someone else said they are just a head of the game and this is what is coming down road in the near future. Gasp!

Don't remind me. I went to my only TRU when that was going on and they only had two figures. I offered to buy them and then get a store credit for the price of another figure and they turned me down.

This is the new Scalper moto lol....they can just claim that Drug Stores are thier main competition and justify thier pricing as a result just olike this!

With the continuing rise of oil, and Retaliation figures already with a MSRP of $9.99, don't be surprise this being a regular price at Target or TRU.
