I just noticed this, this morning. Joes are now 9.99 @ TRU .com... Didn't they just raise them to 8.99 a few months ago??? Good lord, just a year ago I was paying 6.99... Looks like the hiked the prices on Marvel Universe and Marvel Legends as well... Legends went from 17.99 to 19.99...

Welcome to $4.00+ per gallon Gas. The sky is the limit, and not just in action figures but also the food we eat.

I like how they still have the ROC banner on their main GI Joe page.

Glad I got caught up with all the current crop of Joes while they were cheaper. I suspect I will pick and choose more with the Retaliation line in part because of the articulation, but now also because of cost.

Maybe they are heading towards Kaybee toy style pricing. Target and Walmart have Avenger figures for 8.99 while TRU started at 9.99.

yeah they were 8.99 not long ago. Doesn't matter since they never have anything in stock.

A shame a price of 3 3/4 action figure is up there with a mildy complex Transformer! They're nothing alike, its apples and oranges, but like everyone says, fuel goes up everything else goes too. I see fuel reaching $5 to $6 a gallon very soon, but our pay will not go up to support all us and everything we do in our lives.

I guess I am gonna have to wait for a buy one get one 1/2 off sale because no figure is worth 10.00! It will just not happen.

That is what I thought... So I was kinda surprised to see the $1 difference this morning... It is funny to see them selling for just as much as MU now...

more of a reason not to support the price, hike I haven't bought a single joe this year unless your counting my SSC Viper but that was paid off in december but arrived in Jan. I've sold more joes than bought any this year. I don't see myself paying that much for a single figure anymore its just too costly, plus with the gas prices the way they are ($4.35 at my local station a block from my house) I will happily play the waiting game for better things to come in the mail rather than have to drive around senselessly to find the next store has been sold out for a week or not find the joes I want.

Pre-order, pre-order, pre-order. It's like real estate and location. The days of the fun of running into your local store and finding new toys regularly are over. I pre-order at least one of anything I have to have. And then I hit stores when it's convenient or on my way to something important and occasionally get lucky, but I can't afford to go on the "Great Toy Runs" like I used to when gas was $2 or less.

too true.

it's sad, but the day of the FUN toy hunt is over.....most of my purchases are online anymore.

i've only bought from a store 3x this year.

once from Walmart, once from Target and once from my LCS.

Think that is bad. CVS here sells figures for $15.49 without tax. I picked up a Firefly POC this morning as it would of cost the same shipped. Had to have it now!

I noticed the $9.99 price tags on Sunday.

I guess I am gonna have to wait for a buy one get one 1/2 off sale because no figure is worth 10.00! It will just not happen.

All Hasbro toys are on sale this week with a B1G1 half off, not just figures.

Just wait till it goes to $6.00 a gallon...

By then I'll be robbing gas stations, since banks don't have money. :D
