Buzz Bee/Air Zone/toy gun mods in general

i Just bought the True Heroes Chinook and wanted to paint it, but i haven't really ever painted plastics before.

so i decided to paint an old toy that i didn't care about too much for practice. a cap gun.
and it came out decently for a first try.

now i have gotten kinda hooked on painting toy guns. I just ordered the Air Zone double barrel shotgun and the Hawk bolt action rifle, that i hope to work on during the next month.

anyone else mod guns in their toy chest? whether it is simple paint schemes or scratch builds?

i had poor luck modding my Nerf Longshot a while back, so i avoid tinkering with the springs and innards too much. i just want the guns to look good.

I could see the prop departments taking these nerf guns and painting them for cheap sci-fi shows.

i have used old paintball and BB guns for short movies back in high school. no moddong, though.

just like the idea of making something look better.
