I was at a Comic Con this past weekend and picked up a Magazine sized copy of "The Trojan Gambit" and it also included the original 2 part Oktober Guard story. it was only $1 so I figured "why not"?
All it says is "Marvel Books" and that's it. I have never even seen this before. Did they reprint a lot of GI Joe comics in this size?

What's the actual size?
Action Force used to come in a larger size and I have a #1 that is oversized.
Never heard of any other oversized comics.

It's 8x11 inches. And here is a picture of it...

I had never heard of this size reprint either, but I like it and LOVE the cover art and want to grab some more, if I can!

I saw something like that at an LCS not too long ago. I bet you could pick up more off eBay or at an LCS in your area.

That is a gem, even if only for the Earl Norem cover. I love the original Oktober Guard story as well. Great find!
"LCS" means local comic store.
*edit— or "shop", I guess.

I've seen an oversized copy of #1 before but never in hardcover, that is pretty sweet.

This isn't a hardcover, however. It's a nice thick card stock, but not an HC.
I would love to get the first 19 issues in this size! Now the hunt is on!

I remember those. They used to be sent out to TRU, Circus World, and many elementary schools would offer them on their book ordering lists back when they would let parents order books out of a catalog for kids to read.

They're all listed here.

Thanks, Nirvana! It appears that they are original stories? Why has no one ever mentioned these before?!
And, I remember the Bookmobile! I used to always get books on dinosaurs, like every other little boy. Wow, I haven't thought about that in ages.
