I think they just wanted to put detail in the Vamp that resembles modern military vehicles.. like the Hummer. The loops are generally hook ups for sky cranes and other lift vehicles and machinery. Although there should be some in the back to have balance. LOL

As for the hooks in the back.. I'm sure they put those there so the person who buys it could do what ever they decided to do..

Which with all of the spring launchers they had with rope attached.. it wouldn't take much to cut the missile off and attach a grappling hook or something to one end and loop the rope around the hooks.

that makes sense
what is the vamp even based off of
is there a model of vehicle it's based off of

I think this is Hasbro's fantasy base of a Hum V. Hasbro has always said that they didn't want to make a true military franchise, but one of a mixture of military and fantasy.

It's for air lifts or air drops. This way you have your Tomahawk Drop the Vamp on Cobra island and tear some shit up. Well at least that's what I did with my Poc vamp. Looks cool hanging from the Tomahawk.

Lift points to lift the vehicle by chopper as someone else said. Although they are usually at key chassis points, and not on a panel such as the hood the is movable and hoop it's self is not directly hooked to the chassis I have no idea like in this first pic.

The ones on the roof clearly are lift points, and can also be used to tie down gear.

The ones on the front bumper are tie DOWN points, such as securing when tied down in a cargo plane, or on a palate for an air drop. They also can be used as tie off points for either pulling the vehicle out of the mud if it's stuck, or for tying off something to pull it like a stump or a gate, and also you could tie climbing gear on it to lower someone over a cliff or such also.

These are cleats like you'd have on a boat for tying something off on it. Think like on a pick up truck bed, it's for securing gear / cargo.

I really hated the new VAMP when I first saw it, but after getting one in hand and getting to mess w/ it a bit and realizing you could move the guns around and not use that ridiculous missile launcher it came w/ it's grown on me now. I REALLY like the mini gattling gun, although I had to paint mine black so it looked a little more real. I'm still in the process of finishing "touching" mine up a bit w/ a little paint trim here and there (like painting those tie downs and cleats black :)), but I should be done soon w/ pics.

I'm going to use mine as a command car more than an assault vehicle as this new one is a 4 door and makes more sense to me. I've got an old ARAH APC for cargo, and nothing could ever replace the original VAMP in my book as I am such a fan of it and Clutch the man! :) Besides, I love the 25th one compared to this one. :)

Pics soon!

Yeah what he said. I put chains through mine...
And I love those peg holes, you can attach what you want where you want (50 cal, antenna, backpacks...)

Is that a dead bird jammed in the grill? If so, nice touch. And hilarious. Not that I hate birds or anything. Actually I'm afraid of them since my mom's parrot attacked me Hitchcock style when I was a kid.

Ditto. I have looped chain and rope through the roof hooks to transport via helo-Tomahawk, Chap Mei Chinnok and ARAh Dragonfly.

Also, I have plugged backpacks into the holes to stow the occupants gear and they look awesome!!!

They're connected to risers off of the frame and go through holes in the hood. The rear ones are on the bumper. Here's a link for a stripped down HMMWV that shows it really good.
