Yah, the first time I saw the gameplay trailer I was like totally blown away... it reminded me of a cross between Resident Evil 4 and Clash of The Titans. Definitely keeping an eye on this one.

Character size plays into the attributes.

So a big guy will hit harder but move slower, likewise a smaller character might have less stamina.

So you can make a 7ft big bear gut fatty who swings an axe like no bodies business as a pawn or yourself. Or a tiny 5ft tall archer or mage or whatever.

This also comes into play with the Pawns. As you make one who sticks with you all the time and hire 2 from the pool of Pawns that every other Dragon's Dogma player has made.

...looks pretty damn good. I like the fact that it is more of a 3rd person action game first and a RPG second.

Man, this game is getting some seriously mixed reviews... a lot of people like it, but the people that hate it... REALLY hate it. I saw some 4.5 and 5 out of 10s. The rest are giving it 7s and 8s. I really want to play it, but maybe I should hold back a bit for a price drop.

I have played the demo on Xbox 360, not bad at all. My one question is if there will be a multiplayer section on it. The demo lets you try out 2 short kill mobs. Tbh though if no multiplayer part it will prob sit on my shelf like Dragon Age and Skyrim. Sad used to love those types but now I just usually waste the money and stop playing it after a week. This game I have only played the demo and haven't researched it too much

Capcom said it plans to "develop this entirely new brand into a major franchise".

A Capcom press release confirms that one million copies of Dragon's Dogma have shipped so far, which is enough of a success to earn the game a place as a "major franchise" for the publisher. While it's not explicitly stated, this new definition essentially seals the deal on a Dragon's Dogma sequel of some sort.

Can't wait to play it... waiting for a price drop though. Dragon's Dogma's budget was rumored to be slightly over 100 million dollars, so yah... they made a big bet on it since they needed another franchise besides Street Fighter and Resident Evil.

I'm glad the first one got good enough sales though, from what I've read of the reviews all the flaws are somewhat minor complaints that can be easily refined in a sequel. Everybody says the combat is top notch though.

I don't like to use the word "EPIC" too easily but the battles in this game are truly EPIC!

I just got the Dragon's Dogma! Just upgraded it to level 3. Can't wait to try this baby out.

And I just got my best weapons & my favorite outfit dragonforged.


So, uh....nobody else got this game yet? How is that possible? A lot of Skyrim fans say they like Dragon's Dogma better.

I started playing LOTRO a few months ago and it's absolutely killed my will to play anything else. Epic questing like Skyrim, decent character customization, Large/small group questing, NPC partners, takes place in Middle Earth..... I still have the Witcher 2 from gamefly sitting on my desk with maybe 2 hours of playtime on it.....

??? Dragon's Dogma is blah? Wow! I can't get enough of it. I'm on my 4th playthrough & I still haven't seen it all or done everything.
