Best place/way to get misc. atmosphere items

Tents, gas tanks, sand bags, cots, crates, etc..

You know, all the background stuff that is needed to make scenes complete. I know there's various Joe items that have misc. things, but I'm looking for a cheaper way to get mass quantities of them. I have some of the old Joe playsets but don't want to keep repainting them everytime want create a new scene.

I figure you guys that have been customizing and making dios for awhile would know.

Joedios.com has paper crates you can print out, fold and use.

Hobby stores have balsa wood and popsicle sticks you can use to make crates, fences, pallets, roofs and cots. Fabric stores have canvas to make cots and tents.

I'm going to look into making my own cots, stretchers, duffel bags, bedding rolls, tarps and tents from info I learned off the internet and from other hobby places.

It's close, but 25th Joes are a little bit bigger. If you're just using background items, it'll work fine, but if you're looking to get a 1:18 scale vehicle for your 25th Joes, it's gonna be a tight fit. Check the "25th Compatible" thread in the G.I.Joe Modern Era section of the forums.

25th style Joes are true 1/18 scale. The older styles are close enough.

You might try marauderinc.com also. They have some cool accessories like sandbags, chairs, lockers, bunk beds, etc. I've ordered some really cool stuff from them.

I noticed that those sets are where Marauder's gets alot of their accessories. They buy up the sets and sell the pieces seperately.

I use the printmini site alot, and most of my dio stuff is from Marauder. Playmobil stuff is close in size as well. actionfiguretheatre.co.uk has as download section that works too (just print the image and it is real close).
