not surprising at all but, thanks for the news. With a fvf of over $2.00 on a $15 item (if it sells) plus the insertion fee and, then paypal on top of that it was bound to affect them in the long run. In this case it was in the short run i guess!

Anyway, who didn't see this coming? They're screwing the little guys who sold the most stuff and now those sellers are backing off.

did they think the magic money fairy was going to keep those funds coming even after everyone jumps ship?

Yeah, back in July they worried investors and now they spend 900+million on what? That's right, MORE online based payment services.

I think if they decreased the fees for the sellers they could help themselves in the long run. But there are alternatives, looks like ecrater.com which has no seller fees will wind up picking up some more business.
