View Full Version : MERD THE SEQUEL!!! My FANG is missing its rollbar!!!

I opened it the other day but didn't apply the stickers and was just now working on it (the ones on the red missiles are NOT wanting to stick AT ALL, btw) and I just discovered it's missing its rollbar. Now, I have NO IDEA whether or not I've somehow lost it or if it wasn't even on it to begin with. I've looked under my bed and desk and all over the place, but it is gone like a dollar spent on a drink.

I compulsively inspect all plastic and packaging before I discard it to make sure I've missed no accessories so I don't think I threw it away. I just wonder what happened to it. Ah, well...

That blows... could've been packed that way... you'll probably have to return/exchange it if you want a complete fang. :(

That's why always do an inventory of parts and accesories before you start applying or throwing boxes away.

There was a good possibility you could have taken it back to the store for your money or exchange it for another one.

You could call that website and explain your situation.

Or a simple way would be to buy another one at Target/etc and then return the missing one.

That is the same problem I had with the new Striker....I opened it and had it on the shelf for a day..went to apply decals and noticed the front bumper with lights was missing.....now from my 2 year old playing with his Striker, I have never seen that part pop off. So it must have been a packing error, cause it is not in the box or in my house.

That sucks..but hey at least you got a Firebat. My area is dry like the desert.

My AWE and Both Firebats were complete, my SRO Pilot Wild Bill did not have skin goggles :(

Man some of this stuff is just crazy....I would be pissed too, I am goign to start making sure stuff is right.

BTW what do you mean roll bar? What part is that?

I bought the TRU exclusive AT-AT and it was missing the hood canopy, both rockets and side door. I know somebody bought it, took the stuff out and returned it.

My first firebat's got two left hand wheel strut assemblies. I'm kinda hoping that maybe on of the extras I bought has two right ones.

Live and learn, I suppose. This is only the second time this has ever happened since I started collecting in 1998. Interesting that someone mentioned the AT-AT. My POTF2 one was missing one of the blast shields that attached to the guns on the head but came with an extra missile, or something like that.

I even went through my garbage looking for it. Fortunately I'd not thrown away anything very wet recently, just an empty pint of Haagen Dazs green tea ice cream, but no luck. I am really thinking it wasn't there to begin with. I fancy myself as VERY anal about packaging. I even hold up all clear plastic packing shells to the light to make sure there are no small pieces taped to them, and I unfold the boxes to make sure Hasbro hasn't taped another accessory on it. I didn't know about where the Rattler panels were stored on the box, but my close inspection found them.

I think I'm going to do what Unclassified suggested. That is, when I find another one, buy it, take it home and carefully open it, take the rollbar, re-seal it, and then return it to the store where I bought the other one (I still have the receipt) and tell them my reason for returning it is it was missing a part. That way they won't re-sell it and someone else won't get stuck with it like I did.
