An Army Builders Wave would be sweet!

Wouldn't an Army Builders wave be awesome? With the upcoming release of the Alley Viper I was daydreaming of an entire wave of troops. It would be a great way for us to also get figures we need more of also that have been hard to find. So with the average wave being 6 figures here is my pick for 3 new figures along with some old ones I wouldn't mind seeing again!

Although I'm personally not a fan/collector of green shirts, I'm sure if one was released individually it would make a lot of Joe collectors happy.

They could also have a couple of different GS's too. Straight up infantry, maybe another with a heavy weapon, vehicle driver, pilot, diver, sailor, etc. etc.

if you never knew, theres already a revision case with only troops. i wish there was chance that we could vote on which troops should be in a case.

1. Red Sigil Cobra Trooper
Fixed Crotch and improved range on elbow joints.

2. Bazooka Trooper
Fixed Crotch, improved range on elbow Joints, and same color uniform as the other Cobra Troopers.

3. Paratrooper
Same Color Uniform as Cobra Trooper or black, no neon

4. Cobra Officer
Fixed Crotch and improved range on elbow joints

5. Eel
Just the way he is... supposed to be... haven't seen him yet.

6. Strato-Viper
With Pistol and holster, new head sculpt. Borrowed parts from Wild Weasel, maybe armored cobra commanders lower legs... something.

7. Tele-Viper
With backpack, Mainframe computer, and scanner, maybe pistol holder.

8. Female Cobra Soldier
This would be an all new figure. Uniform look and colors would be just the same as the standard cobra trooper.

They do it with Star Wars and it's a great way to build up troops. No reason NOT to do such a thing, especially with older troopers.

I know they want to hold out on new troopers in new waves to help sell through, but come on, BATS, Serpents, Eels etc. EASY money there.

I tried with the Hall of Heroes to vote in the majority of the Troop builders. But I guess those guys wanting two more Snake-eyes voted a little more often than I did.

I think this is a good idea for an all-new wave. Hasbro could give us their usual combination of kitbashes/repaints with some new stuff thrown in:

Python Patrol Viper
Female COBRA Trooper
Female GIJOE Greenshirt
GIJOE Diver (generic yellow Torpedo repaint)
COBRA Shadow Guard (black elite trooper)
Night Viper
Strato-Viper
Crimson Guard Immortal

I'd also drive collectors crazy with the female soldiers. These would be the variations:

Black hair with tan skin
Brown hair with tan skin
Black hair with brown skin
Black hair with dark brown skin
Blonde hair with Caucasian skin
Brown hair with Caucasian skin
Black hair with Caucasian skin
Red hair with Caucasian skin

These would be on both the Joe and COBRA females. So...if you wanted one each of the variations, prepare yourself for sixteen action figures. And if you got one to open and one to keep, thirty-two!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

I don't understand why Hasbro doesn't do this already with their troop builders that show skin. They could get many collectors to buy even more multiples if they'd vary skin color.

you guys notice in the firefly vs green shirts one of them looks like a duke clone its the frist thing i said when i looked at him. i would love for a all army builder wave to come out i cant wait for the alley viper and i hope the make night viper he was one of my favorite i would also like to see monkeywrech,tunnelrat,muskrat,lowlight,law&order there are more iam just at a blank right now

Yeah, I'd like to see something along the lines of a vote in your troop builders case assortment as well. They could make the case internet exclusives if they wanted, I'm sure they'd sell well enough that way. Of course, the TRU troop builders are pretty good, when you can find them.

I'd imagine that Python Patrol and Tiger force figures will continue to trickle in where ever they need a case filler...

I was going to mention changes in hair and skin tone in my post, but i thought it might get out of hand, just like you illustrated here.But, i do agree, there needs to be some addition of females, and ethnicity.

If they were doing a trooper wave, I would like the following included (Only counting produced/announced figures)
Red signal trooper and officer with black face mask, BATS, and Alley Viper and Televiper with gear.

Troops I wish they would make inclued Python Trooper, Python Viper and Televiper so I could finish off Python Patrol.

Other troops I'd like to see made would be Night Viper, Range Viper, Laser Viper and Rock Viper (RV had a pretty slick mustache lol)
