View Full Version : Figures Mad Max So Far
Good Day, I present to you my Mad Max figure so far.
Overall I'm pretty pleased with myself, my first custom figure using multiple pieces. Getting all the parts out of other figures and putting them in this were a pain at first but after that it started to come together.. I must have like 5 different figures in this one so far.. I'm waiting on my Mutt Jacket still then all I really will have to do is paint and glue.
I cut Snake Eyes sword into a knife and cut the case aswell, it fits almost perfectally on his ankle.. I do however have some questions..what should I do for his gun holster? and the leg brace? I have no idea what I'm going to do for that.. Note, I want to do as little sculpting as possible..Also I'm gonna need a head? Any suggestions?
Feedback please :)

Looking good so far, just need a Mutt Williams jacket and I suggest Antares Draco for the head.

For the holster, if you can find an Army of Darkness figure of Ash, it comes with a holster for the double barrel (short barrel) shotgun. Or you can use the Star Wars Rebel Vanguard holster. Here is a link to my custom Max for some ideas. The leg brace was made from scratch.

For the leg brace on mine, I used flex rex and strip styrene. It really worked out well, and didn't involve an sculpting at all.
Just finished the legs.. Here are some Pics..
Overall pretty happy with how the leg brace came out.. I lost articulation in the knee but I'm not worried about it. It will just be on display anyways.

(Removable knife)
Parts:
Knife/Holder - Paris Pursuit Snake Eyes Sword/Case cut down to fit on leg (worked out almost perfectally)
Leg Brace:
Straps - Random belts from figures/Indiana Jones Man Purse.
Brace - Zip Tie cut in half. (Weird that it actually worked out)
Knee Cap:
Thing - Sculpty
The pictures look weird like its not painted or dirty but in person its all black :)
What do you guys think so far? Next I have to take care of the Shotgun holster.

If you want to retain the articulation, you could use the connector pieces from the Capt. Ace/ Deep Six gear and attach them to the rod that you used for the brace.

Have you looked at any WWE Build N Brawl for a kneebrace?
New(Better) Pictures...Added Shotgun Holster from "Union Jack" aswell. Gun doesn't fit very well but Ill probably display it like it is in the picture so its ok.. Was the only thing at Toys R Us that looked like it could work..

Thats looking pretty awesome. Can't wait to see the final.
Moar Pickz
Duke Kneepad = Sholderpad (Best thing I could think of)
Mutt Williams Jacket = Jacket
To Do's:
-Paint fingertips
-Paint neck
-Find decent head (I'm picky about this :/)
-Accessories
Thoughts?
At this point I think that I'm 90% done.. The neck/fingers suck and need to be repainted :/ Anybody suggest a good skin tone that would match this figure? I had to mix colors and get as close as I could. But besides that what about the head? I couldn't find a good enough one that's close so I just used a Duke head that only needed a paint job.. Any suggestions? :/

Good work bro! I have had this one on my list for some time now, I have all the parts, but I was unsure what head to go with. Your parts list works great for this. Matching skintone is always a PITA, your better off just getting skin colors and going from there since it will primarily be for display. Testors has 3 or 4 skin colors in their model master acrylics line that will get set up.
