I was looking forward to this figure. A corrected Duke, perhaps not traditional V1 color scheme, but the flaws corrected. No more slit wrist arms. No more diaper crotch. As shown in this image from the Hasbro booth during JoeCon...

But, sadly the production figure utilizes the old crotch, and the fixed arms, while aesthetically pleasing, are very temperamental and fall off if the wind blows hard. Not to mention the elbow range of motion stayed the same. For the record, I will still take them over the slit wrists any day of the week.
Aside from the fixed arms, Duke utilizes the same molds for the rest of the figure. From a personal standpoint, I have hated that head since the 5-packs come out. It looks like an overgrown child to me. Terrible. I knew this would still be the same, but please at some point Hasbro, make a new head for poor Duke. One that has the features of an adult, if you don't mind.
Duke does come with new accessories though, and they are a major improvement. He comes with a Helmet, Backpack, Removable Bandoleer, Binoculars, a pistol and rifle. The bandoleer and helmet are the same, but the pack, binocs and rifle are new, and accurate to his original release. I love them. They certainly bring back memories for Duke, much more so than the 2007 5-Pack release did. Kudos for doing something that some may consider trivial, but others find to be a joy.

Overall, this is a filler figure that still suffers from articulation problems, and overload of character.

Im not really a duke hater..not quite a lover..But I think this one looks real cool. I agree the head is getting pretty old. Even the very first duke had a more mature, veteran look.
The accossory are just PERFECT. I really wish they would have focused on his articulation tho. Duke IS soppossed to be the figure every one has, and therefore be almost the "flagship" of capabilitys, but no..still daipered...and the elbows loos like they dont bend past 45deg. if the arms fall out easy..are we SURE this is an improvment? I wish they would dump the long wrist idea and just go for articulation in the wrist, but hey, thats just me..

Among the reasons I love this figure, it comes with the SMG Stalker should have come with! So when I get TF Duke, he can carry an M16 and Stalker can have his SMG back!

I am really looking foward to getting my TF Duke, as I am a big fan of Tiger Force(Here's hoping for more TF figures). I'm especially happy he comes with his original gun (which my friends and I always called the nail gun and I hope to get a few extra of those).

I remember as a kid being mad TF Duke had brown hair even though the card art depicted him as blonde. Now I'm kinda upset he doesn't have it, but I guess a little brown paint could fix that if I really need it that way.

As far as the "diaper" crotch goes I can't really tell from the pics if that is the same "diaper" crotch from the 5-pack and Wave 4 Duke or the updated retooled "fixed diaper" crotch that came with the Wave 7 Duke with jetpack and flag.

I didn't think we would be getting a fixed looking crotch like the updated Snake Eyes mold has, but I figured we would get the same one that came with the Wave 7 Duke.

Try to match up those figures to see if there is a difference.

what would have made this better is for him to have a red uniform with rescue painted down his left leg. a funny hat and white boots, and dont forget the cool green sun glasses. and called lifeline. i guess thats to much to ask for. but on a serious note. tigerforce duke looks pretty cool but i'll be keeping this one where i keep tigerforce flint. in a box in the closet.

Sweet figure. I love any and all Dukes. This one will be tops until the next one comes along. I'm looking forward to the DVD Pack version. A quick head swap away from the screaming Duke and I'll have one sweet figure in Sunbow colors. Can't wait. As for the SMG, I have a ton of the old ones. I swapped holsters with Flint, so now Duke has a green holster and a green SMG. Even my Stalker has a Black SMG. This assortment is being shipped from BBTS as we speak...should have him Tuesday. Can't wait... From what I See, nothing to complain about here. 8 out of 10 for me. Lost two points for the same crotch and the fact that he's tiger force and not the original release. Here's to hoping we get a corrected Duke in original gear. I'm probably the only one, but I feel that Hasbro will comply.

I despise anything Tiger Force. The only one I even wanted was TF Flint, and that was for the fixed arms, and the fact that he wasn't a hard-to-find $35+ opener. A shame they have to release the "fixed" arms on the TF versions of either Flint and Duke. With that cuff on the sleeve, I have NO idea why they originally put the joint in the middle of the arm. I'm sorry, I just can't see it. NO IDEA.

The ONLY reason for getting this is the accessories. Pretty much like the freaking jetpack Duke.

How they couldn't put the newer crotch that was on Jetpack Duke, I don't kow... Aparently, he STILL doesn't have proper range of motion, and a shame to hear about the arms STILL not having much elbow movement.

Of course, this never was anything I was looking forward to, but for Duke collectors, I'd be pissed (Actually, anyone who has bought much of the 25th line is by default a "Duke Collector", sadly). And I'm a huge fan of Duke, I think the best one so far was the v1 they released in the 5-pack. The "Tiger" Force color scheme doesn't look terribly garish on Duke or Flint, but please, I just want fixed-arm, correct colors in ONE figure, that doesn't require any swapping or painting. How hard is it to get a "correct" Duke or Flint? Seriously?

The uniform reminds me of the Boy Scout uniform. Pants and a shirt and a neckerchief where NOTHING goes together. He should have shorts and knee-high socks. Anyone who was a Boy Scout will know what I'm talking about. The uniform was terrible.

When they originally said this Duke had fixed arms I thought they were talking about the range of motion in the elbows. This is disappointing to hear.

The joints in the middle of the arms doesn't bother me half as much as the lack of articulation.

I'll probably use my TF Duke's arms for some other custom character eventually. For now, I'll give the weapon to Stalker and the binoculars to the box set Duke. Once the 5th DVD set comes out, that will be the Duke on my shelf (minus the screaming head).

I never had a TF Duke, cause I hated TF figures as a kid. I thought the colors were stupid, but I love the subdued TF colors of the 25th line. I would love a matching set of figures.

I dont get how Flint can the be the TF leader while Duke is on the team, but whatever, I was so excited about this fig, but WTF is up with the older non corrected crotch. We got the corrected fig 6-9 months ago...this is ridiculous. I really hope this is an isolated fig, or early released example like when early Stalkers/BH/FF came with diapers then corrected, I doubt it since we know this has been out for a while. F*cking unacceptable...

So just out of curiosity how do the Duke lower arms fit on Viper lowers arms?

Looks like they gave him a green helmet. In his card art, the old figure and even the figure shown at the con it was brown.

I only own one Joe other than 2 snake eyes' from the 25th style, all the other guys I have bought have been cobras. The chins are always fat looking and ugly. The only one I have liked so far is Stalker. Gung ho looks retarded, bazooka looks retarded, and Duke looks retarded. Hawk isnt terrible but other than that the head sculpts suck.

Agreed, and this is disappointing, BUT the cuff wouldn't probably look as good if the joint cut into it. At least it looks a lot better, and that's enough for me to buy it. Here's hoping they can make an "ultimate" Duke without the slit wrists AND have good articulation, maybe someday...

I already switched the TF Dukes lower arms with green shirt arms as the green is the same color. I guess Hasbro missed the whole point about the problem with those arms. I took the TF Duke hands and dremeled them out and replaced the Tele-Vipers hands. They look more accurate now.

GREAT REVIEW

My only complaint...I actually like the Duke Head. I've used it for a few customs myself, and think it looks better as the "every-man" than say, the original Flash/Grand Slam (I've replaced Flash's head with Duke/s and given him a brown dye job being as Flash has always been my fave.)

It is smaller. I noticed this immediately after I added him in with the rest of my collection. Tiger Force Flint had the same deal... Not sure why.

worst figure i own to date. or maybe i just got the factory reject but the left hand simply falls off when i put a weapon in the hand. the right hand is a bit tighter fit but not by much. it's utter garbage to me when you have to go back every once in awhile just to push his hands back on.

God, I so agree with you on this one.
I just opened him, mainly for his accessories and his torso (I'm making a toon-Flint out of it, if I can get rid of the flag, red on the collar, and paint the crotch to match Flint).

The arms, while aesthetically pleasing, actually function worse than the slit-wrists versions.

There's not enough arm above the elbow to grasp to bend the arms, so bending his right arm (facing him, my left) it pops off the little nipple-peg thing.

The B.A.T.s arms are supposed to come off and are a pain in the ass to get loose the first few times, Duke's are supposed to stay on and simply just fall off.

I'd like looking at him a lot better if not for those stupid black stripes on his pants and the red collar. I don't care if it's true to the original, he looks like a Boy Scout in it.

For those who have trouble witht he new arms, try the boil method to allow the plastic to regain it's original molded shape then allow to cool or pinch it a bit and run some cold water on it to tighten it up a bit and you should be in business. It may just be stretched a bit.

Actually, I really love V1 Duke. That's the only one I wanted, and only one I really need. Other than the shit arms on him and perhaps the lack of correct accessories, he was pretty good. Fixed crotch/bikini crotch/whatever, I don't sit these guys down much, so I don't care so much about that...

To be honest, TF Duke has a much cleaner head paint app, he'll lose his head to V1 more than likely. Kinda Highlander-ish.

I don't mind Duke so much, he's a great figure... But unlike CC or Storm Shadow or Snake Eyes, he has ONE head, and we've seen it like 22 times now. We're all sick of Dukes.
