You may need to go to California for that. I think it's proposition 215. I got some fake moss from Jo Anns fabrics for my trees.

You can get it here online (http://web.inetba.com/anyinc/item330642.ctlg). I've also seen it at Games Workshop Stores if you want to buy it at retail, 1 ft for $10 I think. Buying it online will get you more bang for your buck though, 3 ft roll for $12.50 (plus shipping).

I've also found that the Mighty Putty (as seen on tv) works pretty well too. It comes in 3 4" tubes that you can pick up at Target or WalMart or the likes.

You also might want to take a look at Apoxie Sculpt

link: Apoxie Sculpt (http://www.avesstudio.com/Products/Apoxie_Sculpt/apoxie_sculpt.html)

I used to use green stuff loads, but after finding Apoxie Sculpt, I've never gone back. It's great stuff, I find it easier to work with, and it's cheaper :)

Trust me when I say this, I don't suggest mighty putty, as opposed to green stuff or sculpey even. I've tried using Mighty putty quite a few times, and it's more difficult to work with than you'd think. It's also harder to get those more intricate details when you sculpt. I use sculpey more often than anything else, cause it's more available and easy to work with. You can get at most art stores, such as Michael's. Get super sculpey, you get a lot for 10$ I've learned that you can harden it with a hair dryer or boil it. both methods work. I've tried them.

I know that HAL 9000 has tried the putty and it sucks to work with. Forget about trying to cast any thing with it. I got the knedalite online he wants to find it retail.

Super Sculpey sucks really. It will crack and become brittle and paint doesn't work on it unless you use the paint-on clear coat. I haven't used it in about 4 years due to these things. Mighty Putty does pretty good. You just have to use lotion on your tools and fingers to fight the "tackyness" of it sticking just as you would with GreenStuff.

nice idea. I use 'GreenStuff' and I can't tell you how many times I've had to re-do something because of getting it stuck to myself or my x-acto. I'll try that next time. Sounds like everyone has their own prefered method and compound, i say give as many a try as you can get your hands on and find out what works best for you :)

Green Stuff won't stick to fingers or blades if you keep them moist. I keep a small cup of water nearby, and just lightly dip every once in awhile.

How is Apoxie Sculpt when it dries? I love Green Stuff, because it's like near-rubbery plastic when it hardens.
