hey, just curious if anyone has received a random call from this number today?

Somehow this number has been randomly calling peoples cell phones all over the US today. I got a call from it this afternoon. I didnt answer it, and i didnt get a voicemail. I guess if you try to call it back noone answers.

I'm pretty sure that every ones phone and cell phone numbers have been given out to solicitors. I was sent an e mail by my homie for the national do not call list and you had until the end of the month to submit it before the calls start. Can't believe they started so soon.

nope (to the OP about that specific #)...on Friday I did get 2 calls from 5 (062) XXX XXXX (I don't remember the rest of the number). Basically, the calls I got are a scam. I didn't answer, but come to find out 062 isn't an area code and the calls are actually originating from India. They call about your "car warranty" and try to get your personal information. They don't leave messages and if you question them (how did you get my #? take me off your list, etc.), they hang up. And apparently, they get around the whole "no call list" because somehow it is set up so it's not a real area code and it's a loophole in the no call list. The calls have to be from valid area codes or some BS for you to be covered by the no call list.

i signed up for the no call list, and havent received anything untill right now. The only thing that sparked my interest about this is 207 is a Maine # and i just happened to move to Maine 4 days ago from California (my cell has a Cali area code), but i havent given anyone my #. I googled the # just out of curiosity and it comes up with a name and address of the # along with pages and pages of people from all over the country all receiveing this call on or about the same time today. just seems a little creepy.

It's a fund rasing company called Kid's First, don't know if they are legit or not but they called every one I know with a cell about a month ago. Register with the National Do Not Call List and that will stop, well they may call once but just tell them your registered and they don't call back.
