I know that other Websites have shown us many of the variations of GI JOE vehicles over the years, but there are a few that I have noticed that I don't think anyone else has...
1. Have you ever noticed that in the 1985 insert the Snowcat has FIVE missles in an enclosed missle rack?! Maybe that is why it has five in some of the cartoons.
2. In the 1984 insert the Rattler's gun turret has much longer machine gun barrels. It looks like they are separate pieces that snap on.
3. On the back of the Box to the USS Flagg (the one that shows kids playing with it) the hull pieces and tower are about twice as tall as the one we all have and love. Its really quite clear on the box; the tower, Bow and Stern parts are much taller.
4. The hook on the back of the Dragonfly box looks like it is metal, and the missle holders have one that is split in a V shape to hold two of the three missles.

Yeah, usually looking at those catalogs (which I love doing! That always takes me back!) the toys looked very different that those released.

That still happens. I remember the pics from Joecon of CrocMaster's croc. On his snout he had 3 deep gashes or scars. The finished product has none.

At Joecon, Junkyard's collar was molded on to him, now it's a seperate piece.

I'm trying to get all those old catalogs just for old time's sake. I used to have dozens of them, no clue where they went.
