View Full Version : 08 Date stamp found? & questions

I was at walmart the other day and found 3 25th foil card air troopers, 3 25th stalkers, 2 25th scarlets, & 2 25th cobra commanders.

These were all on 25th foil cards, the strange thing is they all have 2008 date stamps.


werent all those from the 2007 releases? or am i crazy?

the 2 air troopers i got have date stamp 80502 on them

wave 4 (scarlet, CC, and air trooper) were first released in the beginning of December 2007. more were made and distributed in the following months, which would put the creation date early in 2008.

Stalker was in a couple of revision cases.

the date stamp you posted shows they were made in mid-February. Quite believable seeing as how wave 4 was around for what seems like forever.

ok cool. Are they still shipping these on foild cards??? i thought they were done with those, but i am seeing these pop up more and more now.

I thought the were all being re-released on the modern era cards

Either those have been on the pegs for a long time, or someone recently returned their extras to that store. I'm pretty sure they aren't producing ANY more foil cards.

I myself have been seeing foil HISS Drivers sneaking into stores recently.

I see the foil hissdrivers everywhere. The only foil cards i have been seeing for a while is wave 7. Now though i have been to 2 different walmarts and both have the same early 25th figures. They are all in pretty good condition too so i doubt they have been on the pegs. Probably some scalper/horder returning the excess garbage he had after buying up all the BATs and wave 10 lol
