Didn’t know where to post this:

A few years ago I was in the hospital with diverticulitis so my wife and one of my friends made me this custom Display for the first appearance of the Punisher, The Amazing Spider-Man # 129.
In the photos there is a mock cover because I finally sent my issue to CGC for grading. Fingers crossed it’s at least an 8.0 but I won’t know for months.
It features two airsoft pistols custom painted with punisher logos and hollow tip bullets along the bottom. The front outside of the glass is a vinyl sticker and Capt. Frank Castle on the top.

I like it! I kinda wished I had something like that for my Larry Hama autograph and some of my 25th anniversary swag from Atlanta Joecon. Thanks for sharing!

It's a photo paper copy of the G.I. Joe comic issue #47 that a friend of mine gave me at the Atlanta Joe Con. I hope to one day recreate the cover with my Devilfish and figures. Right now all I would need is to get General Hawk. Maybe I'll get one at Joelanta in March. It was quite cool meeting him in person. I hope to see Mr. Hama again someday.

If you're interested, here's a link to the pic:

No love?

Sorry, man! I didn't click on this until now.

It might not be quite as cool if you didn't have the actual comic, but since you do - that's cool as hell! I'm jealous you have that comic, lol. That's a good one!

I think it would be wise to not use the actual comic in that display. All that light might fade it slightly over time.

Glad you like it. It will be in a CGC cell and they’re pretty safe, that’s what the whole thing was designed to hold. As for light it’s in the opening of my toy/comic room with no real danger for light exposure with zero sunlight. Thanks for the heads up though.

Ok, cool. I'd hate to see a comic that awesome get all faded and dull!

Hey, let us know what grade it gets when you get it back!

Still no book. My LCS sent it with a huge pile of books to grade and at the time the wait was 6 months. Shop owner did say it appeared to be a 7 so it will come back a 5.something.
