View Full Version : Dreadnok cycles! Which do you use?

Hey everyone, Im Kalash, Im new here but you could say I've been collecting since 1992 or so. I lost most of my original collection in a move back in 2003 and stopped collecting, until the 25th line came out. Thats besides the point though.
Anyway, I've got a question for everyone. What 1/18th cycles do you guys use for your Noks'? I recently purchased one of those Hot Wheels Rollin' Thunder Motorcycles. I havent been able to find any other like it yet (online or in stores), as all the ones I've seen have been yellow, blue, or green. However, the one I got is black and red, perfect Cobra colors. Im going to put a Cobra emblem on each side of the gas tank so it resembles the Dreadnok's scooters in the comics.
Anyone else seen this one? I found another on ebay, but Im debating whether to get it or not until I receive the first one.
So what bikes do you guys use for your Dreadnoks? I couldn't find another thread like this, so I decided to make one.
Feel free to post pictures too!!

Yup, I use the same ones. I have a black and orange one for Zartie, a red one for Buzzer, green for Ripper and blue for Torch. I haven't seen better options out there anywhere than these, which seem almost custom made for the boys.

Wow, you guys jumped on the custom 'nok cycles kinda' late.
Back in 2004 I bought the 1:18 Arlen Ness choppers and they look freakin' badass! Especially because I had spare decals to put on 'em. I've bought a few of the new Maisto bikes and such...but nothing that's out now really compares to the Arlen Ness bikes. Look 'em up.

I picked up some bikes at the local dollar store. I also switched parts to make them look cool.
Ripper gave green with orange
Torch red with chrome trim
Buzzer blue with orange trim
Zartan gave him the all black with chrome trim

Thinkin' about pimping out some Rams for them, Dreadnok style.

10-01-2008, 07:01 PM
^That would be sweet. Gonna need green and black paint.
It would be neat if you could replace the chaingun on a few with different attachments, you know, make them fit into the hole and nob on the side of the ram. Attachments like a sidecar and maybe something like a rocket pod on wheels.
Or a mobile grape soda vending machine/cooler type of thing. I would like that!

Yeah. Can't wait to get messing with 'em. Grape soda will be everywhere, lol.

I use the hot wheels rolling thunder for my dreadnoks i have 3 of them, they work perfect for the dreadnoks espcially buzzer and ripper. zartan and torch can't really reach the handle bars so there just posin on the bikes.

^^Thats who I was going to use mine fore, Buzzer and Ripper only. I want Zartan and Torch to have a vintage Camaro or something with a .50 Cal on top with a mount and all.

Dollar Tree has started stocking what seem to be 1:18th scale choppers recently. They may not be exactly 1:18th but they're close and it looks like Joes would fit on them fine. They're only 1 dollar.
Hot Wheels 1:18th scale motorcycle line look pretty good. Most are concept bikes that would look great with the Noks. There's a few choppers in the line as well. They were around 5 bucks at Walmart today.

I use the Hot Wheel 1:18 Moto line one, they have some really nice Dreadnok style cycles, like the fathead and chopper, the red chopper with flames is perfect for Torch I think. I'm goingto be getting another one and paint it black and add cobra stickers to it for Zartan.

I don't know if I'm being too picky, but they seem a little to small for the 25th scale figures. I picked up a Maisto motorcycle and I just didn't like the way they looked on it. The motorcycle that came with the German soldier in the IJ deluxe pack was perfect with the SRO pack Hawk though.

I think the Moto line fits the 25th line perfect... the figures sit on the bikes nice.

I got my hot wheel bike today! And I put Torch on it, he doesn't sit down right, however, if your just posing him, if you sort of stand him up like he's about to push himself off and go from sitting, it looks great.

I like the maisto and Hot Wheels bikes because they are pretty cheap and look good. At least good enough for me. I also use the Eversparkle custom choppers sets because they come apart easy and can make a nice looking chopper shop. Here are a couple pics of my Dreadnok Display:

The gas station itself is a kitbash of 4 different Playmobil Police Stations that were clearanced out real cheap a few years back at Target. The gas pumps, tire rack, pop cooler, etc. are from an old 1/18th Ertyl set. The misc. tools are from various 1/18th tool sets. Here are some other pics as well:

Yes, they are quality toys and I just happend to see a couple at a 7-eleven. It's been a while since I've seen these Arlen Ness die casts at a TRU or Wal Mart though. You can find them on E-bay. Here are some more pics.

Ewok & Robin Hood sets can be cool. I couldn't find any other use for them so I just added a little moss from the craft store to make some cheap scenery. I'm glad you folks like it.
The Playmobil stuff rocks...especially when it's on clearance. I still need to make up some stickers and "weather" the garage a bit but you can get the idea. I go back and forth working on my displays so I'll be getting back to that one soon hopefully.
Am Hero 7 , that Ness bike is sweet. I don't ever remember seeing those and it looks great with the Noks.

I've got a ton of playmo stuff from when I was little. I could probably rummage through it all to see what I can use.
