Why are 25th BATs so hard to find still?

Just venting here, but when Vipers came out they were hard to come by. But after a little time they were everywhere. Not so with BATs! Hasbro has made a dream scenario for scalpers.

after a while wit tha vipers, some people started realizing how much they hated tha hands, but tha b.a.t.s. are awesome. thats all i really think it is. i have 2 b.a.t.s., one i found at a walmart and another thru a trade wit icewolf (thanx). i bought a viper just to check it out, and it wasnt horrible but kinda weird, i took it back, they're not a rarity around here, so i can go pick up plenty anytime. tha sculpt of tha b.a.t.s. was just better all around

i have only known of 2 in our local Wally World and, My Wife picked them both up for Me. The only reason I got them was because I knew other tankers that could not find them were wanting to pick them up. I really could do with or without them Myself. I have been offering them up for several weeks now but, so far no takers with a reasonable price too...

So they must not be too hard to come by apparently. ?

I saw and bought plenty of BAT's when wave 9 first came out. Wave 9 was restocked regularly and I left many on the pegs. Saw them again with the revision waves. Haven't seen any in about 2 weeks as the earlier figures being released on the new cards are clogging the pegs.

Well, depending on what you're definition of retail is, Meijer's [if you're in an area with the chain] has picked up wave 9 figures. I think they're over 7 bucks though.

BATs are hard to find because Hasbro seems relentless to mass produce figures we already have too many of.

I see jetpack duke everywhere I go.

I see green vest Roadblock everywhere I go.

I see Wild Bill everywhere I go.

I see too many unpopular figures because Hasbro seems to think that these would sell just as well as the BATs and Snow Serpents?

i have 4 bats and only saw them the day i got them. i have yet to see more and if i ever do i will buy them. also the bats i have were from the frist release of that wave. i think a lot of bats go out the same day the store puts them out.

HTS once had 700 BATs in stock when they premiered them with their online store.

I must have placed 15-20 separate orders to construct a new Cobra army as a result.

Each order consisted of a BAT, Snow Serpent, Viper, Ninja Ku and Python Trooper.

After placing all of my orders, I eventually received 15-20 of each of the aforementioned figures.

I know that shipping can be expensive this way, but it was the only surefire way to score 15-20 BATs.

I have only purchased 3 BATs in the wild given how rare they are at the stores.

I know they are in the wave 10 cases and it wouldn't suprise me if more got filtered into revision cases, Hasbro knows there is a demand for them, hopefully they do a TRU 5 pack, that would sell like hot cakes.

I have 2 loose ones myself, and 2 more coming in my wave 9 and 10 cases. I'm not an army builder but I would like at least 2 or 3 more to open( in addition to the one coming in the DVD pack) they are such great figures.

I would call 'em (D&D reference, sorry) Uncommon in the s.seattle area. they show up from time to time (I pass on 'em now and leave 'em hanging most the time but sometimes get that 'gotta buy a new toy' itch.... Definatley not Rare though (Armored CC would be a rare... but since you really only need 1, not too big a deal)

I think that Hasbro responded to the consumers complaints that production was to low by upping it for wave 7 and 8 which were filled with less popular figures. Because they sold poorly, production was again cut back (though not to the same degree) so while Vipers and PP troopers are incredibly plentiful, the BATS don't have the same production run.

Secondly, I agree with aforementioned that the BATS are much more popular than the Vipers because of the lack of 'funky' wrists.

Never even thought about this until you posted it.I've only ever seen 2 PP troopers(i got both) and seen 5 bats.

Its weird, PPs are all over here. I got some MOC just cause there was nothing else worth buying. Gladly trad em for BATs!

I usually see a couple every time go out. I have 8. Not gonna get any more. I'm waiting for the dvd pack & the battle damaged versions to be released.

One Walmart near me got in more than 20 cases, close to 30. I was there when they put them all out. They had 20+ B.A.T.'s, they were all wiped out a couple days later. The other figures just sat there. Hopefully Hasbro is seeing how popular this figure is & will make more versions in the future. I want them to make version 2.

Well I don't think it is so much the scalpers right now but Horders. The people that pick up cases and cases of the figures and thats it. Not looking to Sell they just like to troop build. I do have my limits on the number I will buy but some people are out of control. I haven't seen as many Scalpers here in San Diego but when I travel to LA every other week end for work they are standing outside waiting to get in and run. I'm happy with my one BAT but would love more but if there is a Tanker here I know don't have one I'll let him know and hook it up

I don't understand my obsession with this figure, but each time I see one, I have to buy it!

4 of each figure is tops for me, except my lovley CG/Nightwatch/Regular Blue cobra troops army. They made plenty of those especially the CGs with the 5packs and the Office rpacks. Don't get why they have not made more Figure packs, those things are totally awsome and would help break down the need for troop builders need to buy hundreds of carded figures. Make em Hasbro orders online and Ill set up with cases till the FedEx guy starts to wonder ...WTH...

I have three but have only seen four. There are four Walmarts two Toys R us, four Targets and three Kmarts near me and ALL I've seen are four! I live in the Albany NY area. They should make a whole case of BATS and Troopers (the cartoon version)
