Destro in the trailer

I believe we might have already seen Destro in the trailer.

As StormShaow & Cobra Commander leave, We can see one other person in the background, presumably Destro who seems to be left behind.

what do you think?

It's already been discussed and thought that the Baroness and Destro get to remain in prison.

Good way to keep the characters in the movie universe for use in the 3rd movie if they so choose, or they just get "written out" in a possible 3rd movie by remaining in prison.

Anyway, yes, Destro is staying in prison (no idea about Baroness, who was supposedly trying to make a recovery). An original, fun solution to the loose ends? No. But it's tidy, I guess.

If I were in charge of the franchise, I'd just make a token mention of "Anna" still undergoing treatment somewhere, and introduce a new Baroness altogether: The sister of Anna's deceased husband (The baron), who mistakenly (or misguidedly) blames the Joes for her brother's death.

Gets rid of the Sienna Miller problem, effectively rids us of the Duke/Rex/Anna subplot (assuming Duke doesn't die in Retaliation), and introduces a new Baroness that's closer to the old Hama version all in one swoop.

I dunno about that, the crap they showed in ROC looked more like one of those bank tubes that sends your money over to the teller...and they had those X-men laser fields holding them in place in full suited attire, not cryo-tubes like these. The suits they are wearing look way different and how did fishbowl go to this metallic mask? They just didn't like the way he looked on the Flagg? That big guy in that other cryo tube is probbaly Destro, but it could just as well be Road Pig, Crock Master or anyone else becasue it dosent look like he's getting out. The point is its not needed, the story will just flash on past this, CC and Storm Shadow come out with Firefly and we go on with the story.

I like Jmaq's approach though that would be a nice kill off point for them.

I guess I've blocked out parts of ROC because I only recall them being in these small prision boxes in a larger facility. I don't recall them being in suspended animation. I'll have to rewatch the ending again.

It might not have been suspended animation, but they were put in tubes that were put into rows of more tubes.

Tubes of liquid don't make sense to me unless your Luke healing in Bacta or Wolverine healing in that chamber to help facilitate his transformation into a super weapon.

Holding them in liquid just to hold them doesn't make sense to me. But I'm sure all will be explained when we finally see the movie.

The Destro ancestral opening was one of the few good things about ROC carrying that over into a Destro revenge story arc for a 3rd GI Joe movie would be fine by me.
