Concept ED-209 from Robocop

Update with Paint: I think it came out good, I might go a lighter shade of blue/gray. Might be too dark. Soon to be on Ebay...possilby not sure if I want to sell it... lol




Since it was announced that MGM is working on a update/re-do of Robocop, I started going through concept art finding some inspiration. here is what I have so far for an updated ED-209

Legs are from a Sigma Six walker (reversed the legs and the feet turned around), dome is from a Halo ship, main arms are from a movie Star Scream, Rear Mini Guns from a Terminator Salvation T-1, bionicle tubes and other bits for details.

The front is a Halo vehicle...I have no idea what vehicle it was...but it had wings??? It has a texture on it, that adds to ED-209's look. ED-209's dome has a texture on it...so that mimics it...


it is on top of a modified GI JOe Mech from Sigma Six. Movie Starscream arms for guns...and other fodder

As for Paint, I just mixed up some 'Light Blue' last night and put on a base, looks good I think. For the dome I painted it gun metal (tamiya)

It's totally doable... that Halo Vehicle is mostly empty and you could totally fit a seat/control center in there. tough part would be how to get the figure in and out...hidrolic slide out the back would kick-A and be easy.
