We haven't seen him in the trailer. The name is on IMDB. No one knows if he's in it or not.

I could see both ways:
GI Joe confronts Zartan and he drops his disguise showing Vosloo's face.

Or, he escapes through constantly changing disguises, which would also be a good opportunity to recast the character (sadly, Vosloo IS getting a bit old)

I belive he is, & based on the Joe2 action figure we may see a funky version of him. But Vosloo's face needs to be seen to establish its Zartan. People on IMDB still don't get what happened to President & Zartan after seeing the movie.

Actually, the action figure looks like a leftover Renegades offering. I'm VERY doubtful we'll get a Zartan that looks like the figure, just like the mass retail Destro we got in RoC didn't look much like the version on screen.

I think the President will have to 'morph' into Zartan at some point. I would hope that Zartan's mastered conrol of the nanites and can alter his appearance at will, leading to his true abilty to mimic anyone.

hasbro have stated that the 1st wave is out june,2nd wave is movie accurate,zartan is out 1st wave,i think this is some sort of version they cooked up and will not appear in the film

I thought that it would be cool if at the end of Retaliation, Zartan’s genetic reconstruction reverts back to his original self but it leaves him horribly disfigured (like in Renegades) with black burns around his eyes which are sensitive to sunlight, so he wears a hood for protection. Iduno just an idea lol

I doubt Vosloo is in it, like Kevin J O'Connor he's probably too tied to Stephen Sommers. IMDB doesn't mean anything, it's not like the studio fills out those cast lists.

I can see there might be a part where zartan changes his voice for a scene back to vosloo to let someone know who he really is.
Vosloo was only in the first one because of his connection to Sommers. Sommers is out and I wouldn't be surprised if paramount and hasbro wanted to wash their hands of the whole sommers crew.
And about IMDB. someone added a credit to my page on something I didn't work on and I cant get it taken off. I add stuff and there is no problem, but fixing something...

I can see it one of two ways:

Given that the attitude with Retaliation seems to very much be: "Take what little worked from the first film and rebuild everything else from the ground up" and Vosloo's Zartan was regularly noted as being awesome, I could easily see them bringing him back. After all, Ray Park and Byun Hung Lee basically both got to come back because the fans liked them and their characters, I could easily see Zartan falling into the same category. He just might not be seen -much- (as in not till the end/climax of the movie...where I suspect he's going to have to throw down with a very pissed off Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow).

On the other hand, yes...Vosloo and Sommers go way back. However, I wouldn't put too much stock in Vosloo's relationship with Sommers preventing him from being in Retaliation...it's not like the guy hasn't been in stuff without Sommers being involved, and I doubt Sommers is gonna take him off his Christmas Card list if he signs on to a sequel that he didn't get to direct.

At this point, my personal belief is about 65/35 in favor of Vosloo showing up. And even if he doesn't, we'll probably get a reprise of "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow" at the very least.

He popped up in the prequel comics. If he doesn't get killed off in the next few issues it would make sense for him to be in the comics somewhere. Although, people are dying fast in the prequel comic so he might not make it. I'd like Vosloo's version of Zartan and would like it back.
