View Full Version : Captain America Strike Fire Transport

Recently got hold of the Captain America Strike Fire Transport.
Here's a short review of this vehicle which is also compatible with other 3.75" (1:18) action figures.

Here's the box.
Like current boxed GI Joe vehicles, we only get to see the figure included. In this case, we get to see the figure included CA and his motorcycle.

Out of the box, here's what we get.
The vehicle requires assembly.

The Strike Fire Transport
In seconds the Strike Fire Transport is now complete.

Top view:

Once assembled, the SFT can accommodate 3 passengers.

One sitting at the main cockpit.

Doors open upwards to reveal the driver. Unfortunately only one sitting is possible which is my first complain.

The second passenger can stand manning the main turret of the tank.

The turret can rotate 360 degrees but since the driver stands and is not part of turret, the figure tends to be left behind... my second complain.

The main turret can load and fire two projectile missiles at the same time.

At the back, the third passenger can mount at the bike stored.

Two other projectile firing cannons are mounted at the sides which rotates independently.

Doors roll down for the bike to dismount

At the sides of the SFT, the doors open up, but no figure can fit in here... my third complain... probably created to mount supplies of weapons...

The Bike...

At first glance the bike looks a bit small for Cap.
It carries the color of cap of red, white & blue.

At the gas tank, a big star symbol is located.
At the left side there are white linings that stretches to back.

AmuroMkii pointed to me that Cap's bike is a recolor of XMOW bike ... which we think is correct...

The figure...

Like most CA vehicle packs (or IM2 and Spider-Man), the figure included has limited articulation with only 6points, enough for the figure to mount on the bike.

No shield or accessories included for the figure.
But I have to say, the one i got has good paint apps.

Inspite of my complains, I still think the Stirke Fire transport is still worth it.

My only complain is the troop carrying capacity. I guess its only supposed to carry only Cap on missions. I was kinda hoping that since the vehicle resembles an APC, it might carry some troops.
I guess if we remove Cap's bike, then we can have some figures loaded at the back.
For those looking for a custom fod, this is a good one.

For someone into the 3.75" scale, I'd recommend this one. Specially those who are into the Marvel Universe. Cap's bike is a good vehicle for our Cap figures.

Please share your comments... Thanks...

I have been debating on getting this since I have seen them on clearance.. I would probably figure a way to cut the inner walls out on both sides making the entire interior available for troops.

Nice overall review!

2 quick questions..did you get it for cheap at all and do you have any pic of your Joes riding in it?

Im sure there is a better power team elite version, thats a pass to me no matter how low the slash the price, even as custom fodder

kinda blah but with alot of work you could make it into a m8greyhound as that seems to be the design they went for.

i know its limitations. Is think that this would be a good vehicle to accompany a joe apc, maybe a armored joe unit or something. Just needs to be repainted, oh and also need to find some sort of a replacement gun for the turret

Thanks for the pictures. I was wondering how this might fare as a Joe vehicle. I don't like the open section for the bike. My complaint is that Capt. America gets so many vehicles that weren't even in the movie while Hydra doesn't get anything. And GI Joe gets mostly repaints (so far) when they could use a nice new APC to haul some troops.

This was $7.99 on amazon in december. I was going to get it but i couldn't find a review or anything on this so i figured no one cared enough about this for incompatible reasons.

Link directly to the strike fire video. Not only are his customs cool but his videos are awesome as well. He is one of the reasons I got back into joes.

Man I wish it couly carry some figures and be in mor militaristic colors. Bet it's going to be repainted for the Avengers line.

Looks like this vehicle could be repainted Olive Drab or camo'ed up nicely.
Instead of the motercycle launcher, the rear could be made to carry gunners for the two cannons.
I think this APC has decent potential for awesome if done well.
