View Full Version : HISS-DOZER version I
A.V.A.C.

here is my first hisstank contest entry. it's a hiss with two attachments from two different catapillar dozers. the front and the back "hydrolics" work up and down. there are two threaded pins running through the front and back and tightened with a cap-nut. this allows the bucket to lift and shove. hope you like it, all comments very appreciated!
i have chosen a hisstank that is neither an offensive or defensive vehicle, this tank has been modified by cobra forces for construction, mine clearing, battle-field debris disposal and burying things under the rug when know ones looking. though inherently tough machines, they must be guarded at all times by infantry , flanked by tank groups or backed up by rattler air command. due to it's "safety yellow", there's no camoflage, it's the price of doing business (no one escapes OSHA). you can't build or renovate a terror-drome without one of these, it's impossible in rugged, undeveloped parts of the world. it is neurotically well kept by it's driver, HISSTANK DEMO-DRIVER.
FILE CARD:
HISSTANK DEMO-DRIVER, is the younger brother of PLOW-DRIVER. both suffer from ocd and ironically, are the cleanest cobra's in the nest. they both toil day in and night out in the most miserable conditions. however, they not only complete their tasks on time, but without a speck of mud on their uniforms. their hissdozer units are meticuliously cleaned and one hisstank driver has seen the older brother ironing the cockpit seat.
DEMO-DRIVER is unpredictable, but sociable, flashy but a sociapath. he can tolerate a B.A.T. co-pilot, but no one else. especially not his brother. B.A.T.S. don't take smoke breaks, "like my pyscho brother"!
(co-pilot bat unfinished and PLOW-DRIVER coming soon with the HISS-PLOW!)

What an amazing custom! This is by far one of my favorite Joe customs ever. An unexplored area of Cobra that I hope to see more of. What is the recipe for this one?
thanks guys for the kind words. the recipe is kinda complicated. i took two bulldozers with functioning sounds, motors and hillbilly music made by catapillar. you can find them in target and TRU. i took them apart which was easy, they're all screwed together. combined the parts for 2 dozers and two hisses and set out.
the hard part is alligning the lift mechs. with the skrew shanks bored through the inside of the hiss (works like an axle rod). they run about a $1 an inch, ouch! the important part is the fun and the assembly of this. i wanted it to function and not be static.
pm me if you want specific parts, thanks again for looking!

thanks again for the kudo's peeps. this idea came to me naturally, i remodel homes for a living and dozers are a common sight. i was almost killed by one when i was 18 so i have a little respect for them. it just seemed natural that cobra should have construction crews in all parts of the world, especially where OSHA isn't a problem.
may they build a million terror dromes! god speed little dozer.....

this is my fave entry thus far...so different...i love that you made it yellow too as apossed to something more familiar...i can't wait to see new additions...could a dump HISS be far behind?...maybe a shoveler?...and how cool would it be if you could make them transformable into Cobra Devastator!...on second thought, these customs of yours might look cool in construction green;)
Very original and useful! Who knew that all this time Bob was really a cobra spy. Great execution on this custom, one of my favorites so far.
oh man, a 25th custom Bob the Builder would rock hard!
may they build a million terror dromes! god speed little dozer.....

Great job on your design and creativity. Shovels and pikes could enhance the appearence and maybe a roll cage over the front and rear areas for the drivers and operating crew.
