Blacksad?

Has anyone read any of the Blacksad books? They look very awesome. Will be purchasing on Friday.

Saw a preview for one and wanted to check it out. Never got the chance. Does look good.

It looks very good. The characters are anthrapamorphic animals based in a 1930-1940s noir setting. It reminds me a lot of Talespin, just grittier.

I've read the first book. Enjoyed it a lot. I bought the hardcover of all 3 books:

I have the first two American editions in softcover. They are incredible. I can't recommend them highly enough.

They are easily some of my favorite books on my shelf.
