Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but there are new JOE shirts at Hot Topic right now... including the one in my avatar. I purchased all 3, and they are very cool.
They are also available online:
Hot Topic - Search Results for gi joe (http://search.hottopic.com/search?p=Q&ts=custom&lbc=hottopic&w=gi+joe)
Check 'em out, I don't think you'll be disappointed!

I love Hot Topic t-shirts, and a lot of their products, but I hate walking into their stores with my little girls. The folks in there scare them. :D

I knew this shit would happen.
As soon as the movie comes out these trendy assholes will start to move in,claiming "They always like G.I.Joe"even though they hated it a few days back.
Then Hot Topic seeing a crowd of idiots at their door will over produce shirts for the masses.
If you are a true Joe fan and not just a tool you might get one or two,and not just because you heard a movie was coming out.
Though I know not many trend setters hang out here.Which is good.
Personally I hate that cobra sigil shirt there was a better one I had picked up a few day back.
Nice gritty design like it was a logo sprayed on a hisstank.

Uhhh... OK.
I just thought it was cool that we, as fans, can actually go to a store to purchase shirts with our favorite characters without having to pay shipping (unless you buy online and save yourself from having to visit the store).
I mean we now have a shirt with Torpedo, Roadblock, Lady Jaye, Roadblock and Ripcord (we've had Snake Eyes on a shirt before)... you can't tell me that's not cool as hell! Who cares how 'trendy' HT is... we have cool new shirts!
And this is not the first time HT has carried Joe shirts... they had a Cobra logo shirt, Snake Eyes & Storm Shadow figure card shirts long before the movie was announced.

I know what you're saying but I just can't stand that shit.
I mean yeah the card logo shirts are cool I just don't like what's going to happen in a few months.
I mean sure it's cool if you like it and want to wear it but these people....I just can't stand them.

i actually bought one quit a while back from someone who wore this shirt one time and, then sold it to me. i did not know where it was from until after i got it. it has ss on the front and says "i know kung fu" underneath. then on back it has a cobra sigil below the neckline. it is cool to me...the point being...it came from that store ht.
anyhow thanks lantern lad for the heads up!

I will most likely end up getting them all especially the sigil one ( i like that one the best) but i still love my old crimson guard t-shirt better than all of these combined.

I always wanted that one... can't find it anywhere now. Seems like a no-brainer.
Cool, My my wife is walking out the door right now to go to work at Hot topic. She took the sku # for the c.c. shirt and the year book shirt. She gets a good discount so I will be getting the hook up!

Doubtful she works at the corporate office (since that's near Los Angeles) but still.
Awesome Sig, enjoy them... I know I am!

I plan on getting this one:
Cobra Commander G.I. Joe t-shirt (http://www.80stees.com/products/Hasbro-Cobra-Commander-GI-Joe-T-shirt.asp)
But it seems to be an 80stees exclusive. I'll just have to order it...

I'd say I agree, but really, I don't. They have the occasional cool shirt. I think their prices are far too high though...

I picked that one up at the much-maligned Hot Topic about a year and a half ago. You can still find them in the clearance racks at HT every now & again.

Too high...yeah they are....and there larges or Med.......and Meds are small.........
I agree that Hot topic prices suck. The only reason I get shirts there is my wifes discount. I think she gets 40% off. There have been times when they have shirts discounted at 50% and then she gets her discount on top of that. I have gotten shirts for like $2 or $3 bucks.

I was thinking of redoing that Snake Eyes tee (As with the camo Duke one I made)....
I was lucky to score the COBRA/Decepticons jacket for $12. Hey, I'm also on the side Doctor Who is on. XD

My thoughts exactly, although my only other real complaint is that if you don't get the shirt you want when it first comes out it seems that they only have x-small or xx-large and they never have my size ever again and it is so very frustrating seeing the shirt you want on the shelf and not being able to wear it so you have to leave it in the store.

Hot Topic had all the OLDSKOOL stuff close to 7 years ago from stickers to shirts and wristbands , OLDSKOOL however got sued because they didn't have the licensing . The company Changes actually paid me like $600.00 to take pictures of my carded stuff when they were replacing OLDSKOOL with their line of shirts. Hot Topic is generally a bandwagon spot , but in the case of all the 80s cartoon stuff they were pretty much one of the first to carry it. Now seeing a Thundercats shirt at Target ...that's a doozy.

We have a store called Steve and Barry's here in Utah. Everything is like $9.98
My wife bought a few GI Joe and Transformers shirts to wear. I bought a blue GI Joe shirt, can't beat their prices.

Yeah, I've got a full set of Joe & Transformers shirts from Steve & Barry's too! We've got one in Ontario, and you're right everything in the store is $9
... of course they recently filed bankruptcy, so who knows how much longer they'll be around.

I have been looking for these shirts but sadly they are nowhere to be found in central fl yet. The sales associate told me to just buy them online but i kind of want to try them on and see how they look before i buy em, oh well the wait continues i guess.

Actually, HT stores can contact others and have merch transferred from store to store. That's how I was able to get the Snake Eyes shirt about a year ago... You may want to see if they'd be willing to do that for you!

I don't think he's crapping on your post Lantern Lad, he's basically calling out Hot Topic which I can see his point, how dare they capitalize on something they give two shits about. However I appreciate the find and the post. Lady Jaye is one of my favorite characters because she was in every GD episode. So I'll be buying that shirt with the group, however I'll probably go to the store itself and see how it looks up close.

Not telling you how to do business but, why don't you buy a bunch and play middle man and sell them to tankers, and turn a profit? Not kidding. :|

They got em in San Diego too, in a what I like to affectionately call the Mall that time forgot. Stepped out of the early seventies it did!

I heard Hot Topic was buying up all of Wave 10 just to screw us over...
Seriously, Hot Topic is just as annoying as the next mall store, but if you live in BFE farmland USA, your access to any metal/goth/industrial/whatever counterculture is extremely limited, so I think HT has it's place in showing tomorrow's youth that there is more out there than just what you see & hear on mainstream tv/radio etc.

Hey man... Horton plaza rocks... OK, it doesn't rock, per se, maybe it just kind of grumbles like a fat kids empty stomach as he eyes a plate of chocolate covered Strawberries.
... I was that kid...

That's how they rose to prominence in my area too... it is actually store #2 of the chain.
