I saw a couple Wave one and Wave two figures in the past month at Target and Wal-mart in Frederick and the 5-packs but nothing recently.

I went to PA about two weeks ago and saw about 30 joes on pegs. most were from Wave two.

Just returned from the Hagerstown Walmart and they had atleast 15 5-packs (all three) and none carded on the shelves.

I also spent 30 minutes looking through 12 pallets of toys they just brought out and nothing.

Had a good day today...

1st Walmart - hade about 15 carded figures but they were in awful shape. Bubble falling off, actually holes in the cards, bend corners. All from Wave two and three

Target - Had 6 carded figures and about 5 5-packs. They were in decent shape, picked up Flint, Beach Head and Cobra Officer.

2nd Wal-mart - Had about 10 carded figures in good shape. All from Wave two and three

It was nice to see them all in the stores although I only got a few. Didnt see any shipwreck's orZartan's.

i stopped at all the usual places in germantown today adn was only aqble to find lady jaye and serpentor of tgeh carded i did not have. walmart had a hand full of combra commanders. toysrus had no carded and target only had storm shadow. there is no shortage of the 5 packs it seems.

i was in woodbridge va today and picked up beach head, cobra trooper and flint.

super walmart in va had atleast 4 flints and all of them looked like they were poorly made. there were gaps galor in most of the leg panels and arms.

it too 8 or 9 stores to find 5 figures. that is horrible but i was atleast greatful to have found something. the time and gas alone made them more expensive than buying off the internet but there is no repalcing the joy in finding the toy you want in the store :) almost like x-mas.

I know what you mean, I had all the figures (pre-ordered through BBTS) but I love seeing the pegs full of GI Joes. Thats why I bought a few, one Flint sold on Ebay but not the second one. You can have "the enemy" figure at cost plus shipping. I will get a price for shipping and let you know tomorrow.

Westminister, Owings Mills & Pikesville Target's have the comic two packs wave 1 and they have buzzer and stalker. No 5 packs.

I also found a Forces for Valor Arbams for $7.48 and tow BBI humvee's for $4.99 at the Pikeville Target. One Humvee remained.

Drove up home to the Baltimore County/Harford County area yesterday, and checked the following stores:

White Marsh Target: Lots of Wave 3 cases. Two Flashes and one Black Snake Eyes, so Wave 5 was there. Plenty of Wave 1 comic packs.

Abingdon Target:Pretty much the same, except only one Flash.
Abingdon Wal-Mart: Nada. No pegs, no figs. Not even 5 packs. Nothing.
Bel Air Target: One Buzzer and many, many empty pegs.
Bel Air TRU: One LJ and one Cobra Trooper.

Anyone seen any of the wave 2 comic packs, or wave 5 or 6? I'm having a hard time finding any of those (I live in Columbia, so I've been checking the Wal-Marts, Targets and TRU in that area).

i struck gold at the gaithersburg tru and found:
all of wave 1
wave 2 minus dreadnoks
all of wave 3

i was nice and left i set of the pilots and cg/officer for others but i had to get both sets of the twins they had. it was an expensive checkout last saturday.

i did not know about the variants for wave 2 so i'll check back for those.

i have not seen ANYTHING but wave 1 comics in germantown/gaithersburg walmarts/targets. managed to find destro/wave 2 at kmart though.

i also found the revision cases at tru recently as well. bought several troopers, officers, etc. but no restock of wave 5 and have not seen wave 6 yet. again, none of the other stores have had restocks in about a month. distribution in this area is horrible. you get one crack at them a month and thats it.

Been quiet on this thread for awhile. Just wondering what success you other Marylanders have been having. I found what looked like a leftovers box of Wave 6 on the pegs at Wal-Mart last Friday. Other than that all the stores have been bone dry of Wave 6.

Yes, that is true. Actually, I remember it being that way in the 80's when these came out the first time. That was a big motivation for me getting my first job as a kid. Today, as a small collector - I can afford the stuff, but lack of product and $3+ gasoline makes it difficult.

I am further west than you BigErn. A new Wal-Mart opened just across the river in WV today though. As of 9 PM they still had a pretty good selection of singles and a few comic packs. That despite being overwhelmingly shopped all day.

Hey Fellow Maryland Joe Collectors. I know it would be asking a huge favor, but I have lamented on other threads never picking up a SE w/Timber or SS v.1. I am seeing some signs that in other states they are seeing Wave 2 re-appear on the shelves. I am not seeing much at all out here in Western MD. If any of you see these and would not mind picking one of each up for me, I would appreciate it. I refuse to buy off of ebay and I have just been praying they would re-release these 2. Has anyone seen any signs of this? Thanks.

I live in white marsh..and I work in Annapolis..so in my commute, I get to pass by ALOT of targets, TRU , walmarts. and KB's. Let me know what you are looking for and I can help you guys out. I know pretty much what stores have what. Tight now the super walmart on wquaterfield has the comic 2 packs...but the target here in white marsh has the new wave 2 releases. other than that everywhere is dry. I have only seen the new wave at TRU in Annapolis...and that was swooped up fast. For me I have everything except Flint and armored CC. And I have yet to see teh target vehicles....any luck on seeing these???

I picked up the TARGET vehicles in Frederick last week. They didn’t have any problems grabbing them from the back.

gaithersburg and germantown target had the exclusives in the back and may still have some left. they were very helpful in getting them from the back as well.

i have not seen any tru exclusives nor any sign of the wave 2 revision nor restock of wave 6 ANYWHERE. at this point, these are the only things left i'm looking for. i'd like to find another wave 6 torpedo and rock n roll and the wave 2 revision figures if you guys spot them. i'll let you know if i see anymore of the target exclusives or if tru ever gets thier exclusives.

I have only seen torpedo & the rest of that wave once. And that was at TRU in Annapolis. I check out 2 KB's(white marsh &Annapolis) 2 TRu(Rosedale & G Burnie) 7 Walmarts(p hall , dundalk, g burnie, qrtfield rd, chase, gldn ring, lansdowne) almost daily. So I try to make my rounds on my way home from work. I check out the walmart on rt 40 sometimes. But they usually are bone dry. Other than the comice packs, I really haven't seen any thing in walmart(except the new prices ) in about 6 weeks.

germantown walmart has had a handful of comic packs for months. they have not had figures in atleast a month or i always end up missing them in my weekly rounds.

germantown and gaithersburg targets have some comic packs and the usual hooded c.c., buzzer and maybe suprentor peg warmers.

gaithersburg tru has comic packs galor, original 5 packs galor and the same peg warmers as target. they also have atleast 2/3 of each red ninja/night watch battle packs.

my are has not seen restocks (to my knowledge) in a very long time. i only saw 2 sets of wave 6, not even complete waves at tru only.

i checked all these stores this morning....

I picked up silver head destro last night @ teh Walamrt on Qtrfield Rd. Was there on Wed......nothing. ON thursday they had alot. Looked like they had put out waves 2-4. But no shipwreak or firefly. I was happy to take Destro off there hands though. 1 other note. ON wed, the tags said 6.82. yesterday they said. 5.44 . Went to the register came up 6.82 . Got a price check......got him for 5.44

found 2 sharc and 1 AWE striker and no hiss tanks , lefted the one sharc there, i'm not the greedy type.
talking to lady who stock it , they been in stock for a week now

funny thing the one target i had the security guard trailing me for a good five minutes, so i lead him around just to kill time then i would stop and look at him and he look at me i did this until i found a lady in the toy section hehe.

Wal-Mart and Target in Laurel had comic packs, but only a few single carded figures (nothing more recent than wave 4). Laurel Target had 3 vehicles but couldn't find them; Columbia is sold out. Ellicott City target had a bunch but wouldn't sell them to me - a guy even brought out the AWE Striker just to tell me that they couldn't sell it until the display was set, and then couldn't give me a date that was going to happen. GRR! Gonna try again elsewhere tomorrow.

Apparently Silver Spring and Greenbelt Targets are both well-stocked on the vehicles (according to the woman in Laurel), but I didn't check in person.

Both Glen Burnie stores have stock (Glen Burnie North is showing 23), but neither store will sell them. Silver Spring supposedly has them on hold for me - going now, we'll see what happens!

Took me a bit to get them, though, as they'd only put the AWE Striker on hold for me and the first employee I spoke with on the floor was fairly new and had some trouble with the system. They were showing 12 in stock and I bought one set, so they should have 9 more of them.

they are supossed to be on register end caps however my targets do not appear to be intereted in doign thier reset and i've always been able to get them by asking a team member to get them from the back using the dcpi number. never had any problems.

Lucky - I had to try five Targets before I found one that would get them for me. ;)
I'd recommend calling first - saved me some time, and they might be willing to put them on hold for you.

made my rounds this morning

germantown walmart:
i had to rescue the sole cg left on the pegs. the rest were troopers, air troopers, and the other usual peg warmers with one wave 1 c.p.

germantown target:
two night specters and one hiss. i was tempted but i left them. this target has had the same handful of hooded c.c.'s for months now but the peg warming c.p.'s have atleast been disappearing thankfully.

gaithersburg tru:
gobs of c.p.'d and a crazy amount of serpentors, buzzer, troopers and ofcourse hooded c.c. all the accessories just make him awsome. i'll give this one to my son for his enjoyment. i did buy one dreadnoks c.p.'s just to fill out my display.

gathersbugh target:
one striker and one specter. really had to resist the striker although i'm going to need another for my planned ig striker. they to had the typical hooded c.c. and buzzer peg warmers. there was one battle armor c.c. which i had to resist buying for the 3rd time. i did however buy the sole torpedo. has to be one of the coolest figures despite not having the need for a see based warrior in land based displayed. they also had a couple old c.p.'s.

Hey guys I seen that Cali has wave 7 out. I guess we should be seeing them any day now here. I was wondering what you guys are looking for?
Myself, I am looking for Flash, Firefly and Shipwreak. And of course wave 7.
If any of you are looking for the target exclusives, they have a ton of them at the target near white marsh mall at one of the check out lines. I would say atleast 5 or 6 of each. As far as singles they had cobra officer and buzzsaw.
They had 11 scarlett /hawk comic packs. ELEVEN !!! and thats it no one else but redhead and the Gen. Well I am out, Happy Sunday and I will check out the TRU in my area today , maybe by luck wave 7 will be there.

Wal-Mart in Columbia had some comic packs, and Scarlett, Serpentor and the hooded Cobra Commander. Target in Columbia had a few comics packs (but no vehicles) and the TRU in Columbia had comics packs and the Night Watch and Red Ninja five-packs. No sign of wave 5, 6 or 7 - I still need wave 6 but I was with the wife today so I couldn't do any extensive driving around to look for them.

I went to the Target on Ritchie Hwy this morning around 10ish, and not too surpirsing, they had no vehicles anywhere. However, hanging in front of buzzer was a lone Viper from wave 7!! You should be ok man. Those fig have been there over 2 weeks now. Nobody really shops there. The stock they have is sort of miserable right now but at one point they had plenty of figs but they were 6.57 when the prices were like 5.99 at Targets.

Now the price they offer seems like a bargain!

Walmart in Laurel had one lonely Snake Eyes from Wave 7 but I have him on order; just looking for the army builders right now. Hit the mother load today! Picked up doubles of everything except the Hiss Driver and Roadblock. Wal-Marts at Ordnance Rd in Glen Burnie, Target on Ritchie Hwy, and on Route 40. I hit that one around 7:30 tonight and the shelf was full so they must've just put them out.

why can't I ever find a flint?
I search everywhere. Yet Flint aludes me every time.
I checked out rt 97 walmart this morning....not a single carded joe..its ok.
I will find Flint and the baroness.
I will be near owings mills today...I have a feeling I will find him there.
So has anyone in the BAltimore area seen any wave 4 comic packs?

No wave 4 comic packs, but I found a TON of wave 7 at the Walmart in Towson this morning. Anyone wanting Vipers, that's the place to go - I left at least 12 on the pegs because I couldn't afford them. They also had wave 7 Duke, Will Bill, Spirit and Snake Eyes in abundance (I bought the three Hiss Drivers, sorry). A spattering of wave 8, but no Major Bludd or Flint. Also had all the comic packs through wave 3, and some older joes - Cobra Troopers, Air Troopers and the like.

No W4 Comic Packs in Hagerstown! Just tons of Ws 1-3. I have seen W7 and W8 singles this week. I finally saw some at Target too. That was cool because I was able to use the coupon. I thought they were boycotting singles.

crap, seems like these show up with the worst timing for me. i'd buy many of the vipers if i could but payday isn't till next friday :( that and towson is a long hual for me, nowhere close to germantown. i still need a couple of w8 figures as well... my walmart only seems to order small qnty's and they get picked clean quickly.

i honestly think they don't restock anymore. it's been over 4 months since they had anything new i think, besides the exclusives which are now all gone.

just the save old revision case peg warmers; c.c., serpentor, buzzer and a couple troopers. the comic packs are atleast dwindling down. 3 cobra sro sets.

nothing new at all.

Yeah, I am shocked with the reports of ramped up distribution from the other posts. We are still sparse around here. Target only had one case of W8 on the peg. One peg was empty.

It is kind of funny to see air troopers and cobra soldiers as peg warmers.

I then went to white marsh mall , they had the valor vs venom singles that were posted on the main page last month I picked up SS, baroness, stalker, and kamakura....4'98 a piece I wish they would have had these 4 at dollar general

checked out target across the street...nothing new...thee was another guy there around 6:30 with a megadeth jacket.....was that anyone here?

remenants of 3 cases of wave 7. absolutely no hiss drivers at all, left over snake eyes, spirits, and dukes
helmet cc, firefly, zartan, troopers, abound.

germantown target:
still nothing. i don't know why i waste my time. i bought my son a zartan and got a couple of the left over vipers.

gaithersburg tru:
same buzzer, serpentor, hooded cc peg warmers, and sro sets.

gaithersburg target:
no figures at all.

wave 8 seems to be the a myth in this area. i've seen 3 figures from wave 8 once and not a peep since then.

why is it the only place with a still valid coupon doesn't seem to carry these anymore? with the price increases, gas prices i would shop target exclusively if they only bothered to carry gi joe anymore.

i decided to go out a bit farther this am and boy did it pay off!

rockville tru:
they had atleast 4 cases of wave 8! several of every sro set. no wave 7 and no new comic packs yet.

i ended up walking out with nearly 3 complete wave 8's! i'll spread them out over the next couple for my kids. as of right now i'm done with wave 7 and wave 8 minus the army builders. hiss driver still seems to be the hardest to find for some odd reason.

i left atleast one set of wave 8 and some duplciates to include 2 vipers.

my wife was waiting for me when i got home, she tracks my hunting via online account transaction monitoring :) she was not thrilled but not upset either as i had not expended my full allowance. needless to say i did not go anywhere else this morning.

i never see excess bludd or tf flint, nor hiss driver for that matter. even at rockville tru that was fully stocked with wave 8, there were no left over bludd or tf flint. i'm still looking for one tf flint and parka snake eyes for my sons. they wanted all of wave 8 minus baroness and c.c. shopping for me would be much easier if i wasn't looking for 3-4 of everything...gets tuff and expensive.

No HISS tanks, sorry, but they had a TON of Night Spectre and AWE Strikers with some box damage. If you like minty fresh packages these won't work, but otherwise they're golden. They also had a bunch of Vipers but I only had enough for a few of the exclusives. I left about 4-5 Specters and maybe 3-4 AWE Strikers?

Guys, call your local stores - the DCPI comes up with "aisle location: no stockroom:no" when you punch it in (and people checking with the hand scanners will tell you they don't have them) but Laurel is showing 4 and Columbia has 10 or so. I bet some of the other stores have them as well.
