I am feeling your pain Fogger! I am to that point again of "I am not looking anymore" because the singles are so elusive. I say again, because as soon as sightings occur on here, all that frustration will just fade away and the hunt begins anew.

i've only seen remenants of wave 9 at two stores on the same day and never again, and not even a full set.

i've gotten all the vehicles already. i'm free to pick up some for others now if needed but i'm doubting that will be necessary since these are now being spotted in walmart, target and tru. funny thing, i've given more of these vehicles away as gifts to kids than i've found and bought wave 9 figures. kids love these btw. not so much the flight pod and air chariot but the land vehicles are a real hit with them

Thankfully distribution does seem to be adequate on the vehicles in most areas. I have seen full or remnants of the vehicle sets on 4 different occasions. I too have only seen W9 once, but it was at least 2 full cases.

It's official. TARGET has the vehicles!!

Found the vehicles at Targets for 14.99 plus the tax...still cheaper than TRU. They seem to be almost done with the reset and everything is nice and labeled minus the stock of any singles.

TRU and Target by 355, 1 case of vehicles each. Left the ones at Target as they seem damaged. The packaging not the vehicles.

Target by MD97, one case of vehicles, bought me a Hiss tank and a Vamp.

No singles at either store. The Target by MD355 has the wave 4 comic packs.

They also have the 12inch Joes if you are looking for that.

My memory is a little foggy on the cartoon (haven't seen them since 1985) what exactly is on the DVD? Is it the mini-series that they did before the single episodes came out? they are mini series episode story arcs. the mass device and cobras revenge. each is 5 episodes if i recall correctly. my son has watched them both several times already.

the figures in these sets are made to look like they did in the stories.

I am hoping to get Flash. I have never even seen him at retail. I started collecting in february, so I have never seen Flint either. I also passed on Shipwreak a number of times. Now I want him, but there is one place nver listed here that has him. I have been lazy to go there . They have a very good selection of Joes and other action figures. I was there last month and they had target vehicles. I have been hesitant to name them because I don't think the scalpers know this place. If you are a regular here PM me and I'll

Had him (black suit CC) in the cart and then decided against it. I simultaneously searched the net and found that he was not 25th style.

I am scared to buy outside the 25th/Modern line because I may catch a whole other collecting disease. Not interested in making any money on this stuff. It is just a hobby/nostalgic for me.

I had both the blue and black suits in the shopping cart, but by the time I was able to get to the last step of the checkout process, HTS said that the blue suit was out of stock. It took at least 15 minutes to get through to the end. At least I was able to get the black suit. Did someone say that they are not 25th style?

i am certain scalpers use these sightings forums for thier gain as well but it's the best chance we have as well. i know of no other person in my area collecting yet i'm constantly playing clean up so someone is reading....

This site has been very helpful most of the time for knowing when product will be out. But I have also found a lot of product simply by diligently checking stores. Oh my the gas I have wasted. Thankfully, I now have all I want until the next wave and have drastically cut my hunting trips.

Here is to high hopes that W10 and W11 will be in great abundance. Sadly, I only want 1-2 from each of those waves. I am only afraid that will change when I walk in the store and see them hanging there in all their glory! GIVE ME 2 OF EACH, GET OUT OF MY WAY!!!!!!!

i have no problems doing that but we are limited to 50 pm's and i'm always in the 40's with all the trade/sell/buying i do with members.

yeah, with any forum, about 10-15% actually post. a huge majority are lurkers. this is true with nearly every forum. it's just frustrating when i do a lot of hunting and share all my info only to apparently have it used against me. i'll still post my results because i believe in the sense of community, etc, etc, and all that mushy hoopla.

what seems to work best is picking up what you can for others when you can. i started the maryland want list so we could easily track who wants what. this way lurkers could lurk and pm whomever when they get something on the list or be open about it. this has honestly worked better for me than lists of what is where. your either to late or distribution is just no equal. my area seems to get far less figures than the bmore area for example. its good info to have and if you can figure out the patterns, you can make it work for you. i do this with walmart info at times but i'm getting beaten to it more frequently.

i also started the maryland social group. i can change this to be private where you have to be invited. we can use this as a private forum if you wish? i'm still not sure what to do with all the social/friend tools available. you will be notified shortly.

Actually that is something I would be down for. I actually tried to do something like that on yojoe about 2 years ago and nothing ever came of it. Ideally I would like to see a monthly / bi-monthly thing and alternate north of baltimore and south of baltimore.

my wife and i ran into a stock person while looking at the pallets in aisles and asked if they got joes in by chance. the guy says hes a collector as well and asks what i'm looking for. as soon as i mention bats and snow serpents he says he has not seen them here (despite evidence of at least 6 cases in the last week on the pegs). he tells me to go to kaybee (we all know is worthless) and tru. so, now we know why we can't find the sought after joes, the stock guys get to them first. can't blame them really, perks of the jobs, sucks just the same for us though. i just hope he's doing it on the up and up. hate to see someone get in trouble over action figures. i must add he was very nice about it all. as much as you want to be mad, it all occured very cordial like.

It was Onpoint, Mizak and myself. For the few of us that went it was good. I got there a bit late, 6:30 but we didnt leave till 9:30. We stopped by Mizaks and Onpoints places and we got to see each of their collections. Both have very unique collections and are impressive in them selves. We were talking about trying to make a usual get together. Maybe monthy or so. I suggested setting something repetitive so its easy to remember when we are getting together. I hope others are interested as well.

Hit the Wal-Mart and Target in Laurel - both stores had vehicles. Target had all of them but the VAMP (boxes were a bit abused), Wal-Mart just had Serpentor/Armadillo. No new figures or comic packs at either place.

not as often as you guys. i've seen a couple of the wave 5 comic packs. i always seem just behind whomever is clearing out the good stuff and left with the left overs.
i have one of all of wave 9 figures, one of all wave 5 comics (no variant destro), one of all dvd sets, more than one of all vehicles. now i need to round out my display armies which i've had better luck with by dealing with maryland and other members.

onpoint- congrats! maybe one day i'll find them at retail as well. i used to have good luck but it appears there are more people now hunting in my area. i have the money, i just can't find the product...

Heads Up everyone....... I found out from one of the heads at Walmart that they are redoing there whole Toy area in all the stores this week and have been holding back cases to put out for this big redue. I just wanted to let all of you know so maybe we can all look out and find some good stuff this week. My Target just redid their toy section but still no joes I called and complained to Target headquters and still nothing new. They fed me the line that because they still had the four hooded CC that it was not letting order anything new What a bunch of BULL so tonight I got really ticked off and bought all 4 just so they have a zero and I posted a large ORDER me Sign in the empty area. I am so tired of searching every day and finding nothing... I am convinced that many of the area Targets have toy scaplers working there and grabing them before they are even on the shelf.
I hope this post will help others in their search for Joes

are you referring to ther germantown target? they had the same 4 original c.c.'s since the very begining.

yes, we do have people clearing out the stores. a walmart stocker told me he collects joes so i'm sure he's one of them although this is nothing more than speculation. i'm certain there are target/tru people snapping these up as well. there are not that many (online) md members, not enough to explain how the stores are contantly sacked before we get to them.

Yeah, this has been a long shortage of any Joes W9 or revisions. I remember some of these in the past though.

Anyone had any sightings of the W5 R5 cases yet? I know some on the other sighthings threads claim to have found them. It seems a little early to me for that to be shipping.

I found a set of Wave9 (except BBQ --Odd) at Target by NASA on Greenbelt. I had to hit the Target cause i forgot stuff from home and found figures. I was pretty happy but i was so happy I forgot to pick up what i went in for.

I think we should all take a step back for a second.

1) What Walmart was it that told you this?
2) Most Walmarts have already done their resets.
3) I stopped at 3 Walmarts between last night and today and 2 Targets. The 1 Target had signs of Wave 9, no Bats or SS.

Of the Walmarts that I stopped at 1 is doing their reset now. That one had no GI Joe on their layout plan. Of course they didnt have anything before hand but CP anyways, and they were put on clearance. The other 2 did get in the wave 1 vehicles but that was it.

Germantown Walmart has alot of Wave 7 in at present no HISS Drivers :( but they do have vipers, Duke and some of the others. As to where I search I look alot of places but I check Germantown the most. I have been on weekend searches to most of the targets, walmarts and TRUs in the area. I can't say I have found much when ever I do find any on the shelf I am never the first there so I get to pick from what is left over. :( So the search continues :)

TRU Annapolis has a ton of the DVD packs (about 12)...they are $25 a pop.....get them at walmart they're $5 cheaper.

On a side note KB has the Clone Wars figures priced at $9.99 each......they can keep em.

I only saw 1 case of W5 CP, but I would be surprised if that was the only one. There were too many boxes to pick through in the time that I had (2 pallets with Joe's mixed throughout...

Picked up all 3 W5 CP's w/ the Destro varient. The one case I saw was: 1 destro varient, 1 destro gold HD, 2 falcon, 2 tripwire & 1 SS/SE.

Struck out at TRU, Target and Wal-Mart in Columbia - no wave 9 figures or wave 5 comic packs to be found. TRU had all the old exclusives but none of the new ones, lots of DVD packs and most of the vehicles. Target had DVD packs. Wal-Mart had the same old.

I did "meet" a guy and his son at TRU and another guy at Wal-Mart (both briefly), though.

Funny experience at Walmart in Salisbury. I grabbed a couple of the DVD packs and was thumbing through the single figs and a guy came up and asked me if there was a Mutt and Junkyard. I told him they werent out yet and he told me that he bought them at Roses in Seaford, Delaware. Roses doesn't carry joes!!! Let alone the wave isnt even out, but at that same time a WM dude turned the corner and must have been listening in and told the guy that he was mistaken. The guy eventually did own up and tell him that he meant that he bought the Snake Eyes and Timber....which again I doubt...But...At the KB in the mall...THose tiny little single VvsV figures are on sale for like 4 bucks... I may buy some of the ninjas for my dojo.

I feel almost opposite of everyone else. It seem that whenever I see W9 I see full cases complete w/ BATs, NinjaKu's & SSerps.

On a side note I did find CC & Tripwire and NE & Falcon today. Although it was in Virginia. And no I didnt drive all the way to Virginia just to find Joe's. They are worse then MD is. It looked like they were still on Wave 8.

yes, never seeing a bat is getting very frustrating. it's getting very old seeing wave 9 left overs all the time. i really do doubt we will ever see bats in sufficient numbers in my area to satify demand. i've had to rely soley on members here to aquire what i have and thank you to those who have helped out. i would not have anything if it were not for you guys.

I would be shocked if the BAT isn't packed into future revision cases. I'm not terribly worried about finding 'em in the future, they're just hard to get now. Ten months ago nobody could find enough blueshirt troopers or officers, either. In the spring nobody could find enough HISS Drivers. Are these still problems? Nope.

10 months... nearly a year to wait for these to actually show up in sufficient numbers to make everyone happy, not something i look forward to.

those also have thier own issues/limiting factors... hiss driver is in large part dependant on how many tanks one has. blue trooper has spegetti wait/legs and diaper crotch which makes it difficult at best to get into things. it's like comparing bats to vipers...

Boscov's in Marley Station mall is closing everything is 30% off including toys. Not much is left but this week I picked up ALL the new Indy Last Crusade figures for about $4.75 each. They still have a few 12", deluxe sets and vehicles left. Picked up CG/SF comic pack for $6.99....Noks, CC/Duke, Twins, Ace/WW still left. No singles.
Few scattered SW figures and comic packs left. Tons of Hot Wheels, Hulk (including humvee), Matchbox, Lego, Batman and Spider-Man remain.
Get it while you can.
