Just went to the Gaithersburg Wallmart and Target saw nothing new besides movie Spiderman Lizard. Got a Ghost Hawk 2 at toysrus talked to a fellow collector in the aisle about Joes. I think he might have been a newer collector. Liking the Ghost Hawk 2 its definitely large enough but the insides just suck balls. It could have been a two seater and the back should have opened on the side. Loving the classic 80s colors though. The bright orange brings me back to the HAVOK.

I think it could use a upgrade companion set from Tofu Jesse or Ragin Spoon.

Joes are now $11.19 at this Target also, this means they are either going on sale soon or are on Target's liquidation list for next season's aisle re-organization. This means absolutely no new stock is being expected to hit shelves for Christmas which is a dumb move by Hasbro for not continuing to release new product in the mist of the movie being delayed nine months. If all Joe stock goes on clearance there's a chance that it won't be picked up again for next years March release of Retaliation film. Aren't they aware that all six waves will not get evenly distributed everywhere next year? Wtf gives?

Its very hit or miss, but I haven't seen all three at once. I picked up a masked Daken yesterday but I'm still looking for Pile Driver. I saw a ROML W2 BIG TIME Spidey at the Disney store in Arundel Mills today. Went there as a slight detour on my way to the Live Casino from the CINEMARK movie theater. The Casino has no dealer tables so I won't be going back....

Also, has any TRU store in the area restocked with PoC Waves 1 - 6? I would love to get another Low-light, Commando SE and Shock Troopers for $7 each...

It was a serious rush because I swear I was the first person to see them on the website. And then I immediately had trouble using the FireFox browser, had to flip to IE quickly, get what I want and check-out.

I had everything ready to go in FireFox and it wouldn't proceed to checkout. The same thing happend to me last year but it was Internet Explorer that didn't let me checkout and I had to switch to FireFox and by then I only got a pink Zarana. Alas, epic fail on Cold Slither Zarana and the coveted Starstriker/Skyscream.

Still nothing new for Marvel Universe or Legends as far as retail releases. I think things will pick up closer to November since there appears to be little to no restocking of action figure brands everywhere I've been this month. I need all of MU Wave 2 for 2012. The new Hulk figure makes the first one look like utter crap.....

However, I managed to get a Fall of Cybertron Optimus Prime and a SWV Hoth Battle Luke Skywalker from the PoS TRU in CRockville on Thursday. This place isn't so bad but it is a price mark-up store. Look for Kerwin to ring you out, he's a cool dude and will match whatever price is in store with whats on the website.

Get the ninja vamp and ripper at a new target near water country in Williamsburg, they are both hunks of junk, I advise holding off on getting them unless its for a kid you really don't like. But I did get the new world of Warcraft mega-blocks too and a Elmo Busch Gardens t-shirt so if you see a guy wearing a jamestowne hat and a Elmo shirt that will be me.

I skipped that Target yesterday, they always seem to disappoint.
As for retaliation figures, who in the hell would buy one for $11.14? These are a lower grade of product from the 30th Anniversary which was only $7.99 earlier this year. If they have a Retaliation Storm Shadow for cheap I might pick one up.

Makes me wonder what in the hell is going to happen to the rest of the line since it's already been cleared out. Wouldn't make much sense to restock with the same stuff in March which had a hard time selling this year.

Also, it looks like its a horrible year for action figures in general. Batman Dark Knight Rises, Avengers and Amazing Spider-man figures are most likely going on clearance next month since no one is buying a damn thing. Hopefully we'll get a re-stock of Marvel Legends and Universe along with FoC Transformers, sometime before next year but it doesn't look like stores want to continue to invest in action figures with inflated prices directly effecting sales.

I'm optimistic we'll see some PoC figures from Waves 4-6 pop up in discount stores sometime this year but in limited quantities. The wave with Python Patrol Croc Master never made it to retail so its going to have to eventually surface in a warehouse and need to be liquidated soon.....

went to gaithersburg tru and actually found a full set of the tmnt classics, the last set on the shelf actually. used the coupon from the circular and another gift card so saved some money to boot!

they had 2 full pegs of renegades joes. they also had a decent showing of the new vehicles, 3 packs, and some of the new figures. no new troopers though. i'm skipping most of this new movie stuff, as i did with the previous movie line. i'll be very selective again with my purchases since the end of the 30th/resolute lines.

Crockville TRU has the new TRU exclusive Marvel Universe 2-packs with Dr. Doom/FF Spider-man, She-Hulk/Wolverine and Secret Wars Magneto/Captain America. Each one was $20.99. They appear to have gotten a refresher case of 30th Anniversary Joe figures there too. I counted three Techno-Vipers and one Renegades Cobra Trooper than wasn't there a week ago.

The TJ MAxx nearby had two Marvel Universe Sentinels for $29.99 each.

I'd have to say this is the worst year I've experienced as far as being a collector. No new merchandise for months on end and entire waves of figures never making it to retail with inflation being a main deterrent it's a waste getting my hopes up for anything making it to stores between now and next Spring....

I did pick up some cheap DC Direct toys at the comic shop in Owings Mills. They have a coupon for 50% off toys on their website. Got an Arkham City Croc for $20.

Tired of waiting for new MU. Preordered a case of 12 Series 2 Revision 2 from BBTS. Has 1 each of the Kraven wave and Kang wave plus a colossus and juggernaut. Works out to $10.40 a figure with 10 out of the 12 being new and no doubles.

If anyone sees these in the central area of MD like Columbia, Laurel, Arundel Mills and further out towards Rockville let me know.

For real!! There has been nothing on the shelves this year. Though I have to say the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are awesome toys. Not the big classics mind you I am speaking about the little 4 inch ones are just fantastic little buggers. If your wanting to throw 8 bucks down the tube.

One of the theories that one of my friends proposed was the hit that the movie was and the need to push for toys for it, the Avengers. Making the other lines like MU and ML to take turns in the chill dept. And finally we have seen them pick up with recent shipments.

The latest Takara Masterpiece Prime (Smaller one which is more 80's cartoon accurate) isn't out for American retail yet. Are you referring to Masterpiece Thundercracker that is going for $69.99?

Didn't get any because of the hassle they put me through for one damn action figure (Astonishing Beast). They will charge you an extra dollar per item if you do not have your cellphone handy to compare the price to TRU's website. Kerwin is excellent and knows me, whenever I come through he automatically knows I'm there to save dollars on each and every item.

MU is cool, but not worth $10 a fig. I'm only collecting figures i don't have previous versions of. I no longer want anymore Spider-man, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Wolverine, Hulk or baby arm Cyclops that they continue to sneak in comic packs in order to get us to pay additional for a new figure. From the latest wave , I want Kang and Kraven the most.

Does TRU still give out store cash rewards. I haven't received one this year and I am sure i spent over $200 at TRU since last Fall.

As far as I know, you can still check on the website to see what you've earned. Last time I did it you had to spend more than $150 in a specific quarter, though.

Found Miles Morales Ultimate Spidey at Walmart in Arundel Mills. I hate the hunched over neck joint that restricts him from looking upwards.

Also found Avengers 3.75" Ultimate Hawkeye and Movie Series Nick Fury at my local PoS Target in Silver Spring off of Cherry Hill Rd.

Still no lock on Marvel Legends 2012 Wave 3 figures, Star Wars Vintage Expanded Universe Wave 1 2012 or Marvel Universe Wave 19 at TRU, Walmart or Target.

Spot on the same (SDCC vs. Exclusives)... I see no difference.
The Footloose & Dial-Tone seem a bit odd, can't quite place it, the plastic seems a little bit different, but not in a bad way.
Just a bit... different.
Can't really put my finger on why, but they fit right in just fine.

On a separate note, I finally got an SDCC CC this year; what a major letdown. T-crotch? Really? Never would I have thought that a 25th figure would have been busted on the articulation front.

also, if anyone is looking for the K-mart SW exclusives; the K-Mart on North Point Blvd has an entire shelf of the 2-packs (albeit in the wrong aisle, they are randomly merched in the Hot Wheels aisle for some odd reason), and the AT-ST Scout Walker in vintage packaging.
Also had the new wave of CW figs (repainted super battle droid, nicer colors, red Captain Fox, Captain Wolff)..

While ringing me out, the female cashier asked me, "What's a G.I Joe? I've never seen that before." I had to explain that it was a toy from my youth that I continue to collect as an adult. I was frankly shocked and saddened that the generation behind me has never even *heard* of this toy line.

in Jarrettsville, hit the Towson Walmart; you can do Walmart, Toys-R-Us, Target, Marshalls, and TJ Maxx all in one fell swoop..
That's probably the best bang for the buck, since they are all in one parking lot.

TRU in Lakeforest had 2 MP Optimus Prime as well as the GDO TF deluxes.
The Ross in the vicinity had 4 ML Sentinels for the ones that like to army building.

Target system hit 70% off toys in the clearance rotation. Not that much selection for us but maybe you are x-mas shopping for other family members.
Target in cRockville had the new wave of TF Prime with Rumble and other but the prices really sting.
TRU in cRocvkille had the GDO deluxes as well.
