the odd thing is, targets here seem to have given up on joes. germantown has not had restock since wave 4 maybe. gaithersburg seems like maybe once a month, same as rockville. target in general is a wasted trip for me. in the last 2 months, tru and walmarts have been my places to go with wlamarts restocking more than tru as i've only found anything past wave 7 at one tru. the other doesn't get much business as it had lots of shelf warmers, enough that figures were stacked on the shelf.

target clearance update:
i called and checked every target in the metro dc area. there is not one store with more than 2-3 thus not worth the cost of gas to go collect them all. whats even more frustrating, i've proven the computer is nto always accurate. i had to go down town today so i called the dc target who said they had a couple on the shelf. needless to say when i stopped buy they could not be found anywhere. the manager was the nicest person i had ever met as she and 3 others walked every aisle in the store looking for them. i have never had that expience before. she even called other stores to confirm thier stock and found other stores that also could not find what the computers said they had.

That's a shame - it's about equal around here, with both Target and Walmart having dry spells, but I've been able to use the Target coupon about 6 times on GIJoe toys.

Target Midle RIver has 8 hawk/scarlett comic packs. For a months there was 9. Wow. Someone bought 1. I think I am going to start collecting transformers. They are Everywhere! MAybe Gi joe will be like this next year.

The Target in Laurel had some W8 figures. Roadblock and Baroness. Really fishy as they had them in the back even tho the pegs were empty.

The Walmart there had nothing but the same Trooper and Buzzer. They have been there for some months now. They are full of old comic packs.

The Target in PG had 2 revision cases. I was able to grab two Fireflys, Zartan and a Viper.

1 case of left over wave 8 restock. i left roadblock and 2 python officers. i bought the 2 vipers.

It's funny how it works - I have yet to see a Bludd at retail, and got mine through a fellow Maryland 'tanker (thanks Jim!), but I lucked into the wave 4 packs. Given how prolific all of the other packs are, I imagine we'll be saturated with wave 4 soon enough.

no offense, but i'm buying what i want, when i can find it. i'm spending the gas to get there... i have myself and 2 sons to buy for as well. it is NOT easy finding figures for 3.

that being said, some maryland members, to include myself, already discuss what we are looking for so we can all help each other out. i have no problems doing this at all provided someone takes the initiative to ask. i don't mind sharing the wealth of figures as i currently do this frequently as others have done this for me as well. it just so happens that i've not been as lucky finding maryland wants but plenty of wants for others.

maybe each of us should post what each of us wants so we can check here before we go hunting?

hiss drivers x 5+\-
crimson guards x as many as i can
vipers x as many as i can
bats x as many as i can
python officer x 3+\-

keep in mind, wave 8 and on are to be produced in much higer numbers as evident in the relative plentiful nature of wave 8. if this is any indication of how future waves are to be done, we should not have probelms getting what we want in a much more timely manner than previous waves. forget immediate, thats just not practical but over time it will happen. even with wave 8 it took me awhile to get them all in maryland but now they are in just about every region being reported in maryland. again, if anyone is having trouble with particulars, please post them here and your fellow maryland members will help out.

i had business in hagerstown today so i stopped by hargerstown kmart and tru and hit the walmart in fredrick on the way back.
kmart- nothing at all
tru- the normal peg warmers

walmart- some of the less desireable wave 8 figures and most were bent up. i bought the viper anyway as it will be opened to go to my son for his small viper army. there was the old roadblock there in good shape if anyone is interested.

so, after 10 stores today i manged to come home with 2 vipers, 1 python officer. i did not see any new comic packs nor new vehicles.

I did not make it to Frederick Target, so a non-poster must have snagged the other W4 CPs, because you are the only other Frederick poster I am aware of. Hagerstown's Target had nothing but leftover W8 and their KMart was almost as bad as
Frederick's.

I did that run from Hagerstown, up 81 to Hershey some months back. We hit every WM and Target between. Found some of the revision cases with Cobra Officer and Serpentor back then at Targets and NOTHING at the WMs.

i use mauraders weapons for all my display troops. they are far superior to the stock weapons in appearance. infact, i just ordered another set of weapons yesterday. i don't like the way the nvr fits the viper so i bought some mp5's. there was another batch as well but i forget what they were right now.

Hey guys - whats up?

I'm new to the board and a fellow Marylander. I live on the Eastern shore and work at the pet store in the Annapolis Mall so feel free to stop by and say hi.

Shawn covered the KB Toys pretty well. The TRU next to the mall has all the old comic packs, 2 Vipers, and a Python Officer. Also an abundance of the 3-packs and 1 each of the 5-packs.

The K-Mart in Stevensville has a couple Vipers and Buzzers. The Wal-Mart in Easton has old comic packs and a Duke, Roadblock, Scarlett, Cobra Officers and Air Troopers from earlier waves. The Wal-Mart in Ocean City has old comic packs.

I might hit-up the Edgewater K-Mart tomorrow just to see if W2 Vehicles hit there but I doubt it.

Got my first HISS Driver today!

Checked out the K-Mart and Edgewater and while I didn't find any W2 vehicles or W4 Comic Packs I did find a slew of Vipers, Snake Eyes, and a lone HISS Driver.

Best part of all I just randomly price checked it and a Cobra Legions set and guess what? The HISS driver came up at $5.99!

Dunno if any of the Marylanders here cover North Eastern MD, but I shall be doing so soon. I just accepted a job at a private school in Cecil County and will be moving there from Northern Virginia in either July or August. Anybody up in that region? Harford County, even? i too am waiting for all the news from joecon this weekend. it's actually nice to have these past week(s) slow to rest for wave 9 hunting (bats and snow serpents). nto worried at all about comic pack and vehcile stock levels as the new vehicles are mass retail and comic packs are shelf warmers at most places.

i'm about full on vipers now, pending some potential trades ongoing

Stopped by Carroll Island Walmart around 8pm . Lucky me! There was a bunch of wave 4 comic packs including 1 duke/red star. Looked like 3 of each of the rest and 1 of each from the previous 3 waves. I can honestly say I am caught up now. I still need Flash, but I don't think I will ever find him. I checked out target yesterday...someone snatched up scarlett and road block.
As far as as the meet & greet goes. If you guys want , I throw a huge party at the end of every summer. The date this year is sat. august 30th(my bday & my wedding ann.) It usually lasts form 4pm to sunrise sunday. Tons of good food,
dancing, women, drinks, you name it (except drugs) If any of you guys would like to come , let me know. Trust me ,whether you know 1 person or everybody, you would have a good time. It would be a perfect meet and greet.

target at white marsh is teh weirdest store tehy have had the same scarlett/hawk comic packs for atleast 2 months I think they are down to 7 now. Thats its not 1 other joe. our region is fickle to say the least... you guys a bit farther north seem to have it slightly better than mg county. it's clear we have people clearcutting the shelves as witnessed by the cragislist guy as well. i can not fathom how a store amasses 10 w8 c.c.'s. i've never even seen 10 cases of w8 total much less in one store.

with the upcoming target exclusives, i suggest we do our best to work together as well. given the troubles the last exclusives posed, these new ones will only make it worse. especially a several months later when they get clearanced.

so what are your guys want lists if they have been updated? thank you to those of you whom help me out with vipers in particular. i've got a nice display now and we have a couple for playing with. we honestly don't use them much due to the flaws but they get run over just as well by mobats and hiss tanks.

A note for anyone here that collects Star Wars. The order 88(I think thats the number) Target exclusives are 6.89 . At target white marsh they were about 100 of them in ......drum roll please........the lawn and garden section as well as the target transformers.

I was able to find all of the wave 1 vehicles at TRU in Rockville, MD today. I left behind one Hiss tank and a Trouble bubble set.

They had two wave 9 black SS left and a few Torpedoes that was it. Somone must have taken all of the BATS, Serpents etc... At least I still have em pre-ordered on HTS.

Today p/u the new vehicles at Glen Burnie TRU. Also on the pegs were 3-4 hiss drivers and the remnants of wave 7. Left one hiss tank & one vamp on the shelf @ GB TRU.

Annapolis TRU had no vehicles this a.m. but it did have several cases of W9.

Well for some of you MD guys you may want to cross over the bridge into Delaware. I found all of the wave 9 figures at Prices Corner Wal-Mart in DE. Pick them all up with the exception of the Black Storm Shadow (not in the mood for a repaint) Not a bad deal and the best part it's tax free

There was also Torpedo, Wild Bill, Rip it and Sprit.


This should be in the Delaware sightings, but there wasn't one and for some reason I wasn't allow to start one.

From yesterday to this morning I searched for wave 9 like a parent would search for a lost child. Everywhere I went...I found "comic" Wild Bills, torpedos and vipers. This morning at 0700 hours...I FOUND THEM!
Rosedale Walmart...4 cases of them..but someone had been thorugh them already. 4 of everyon except hawk , S serpent , and A Bat. And Hawk was bent up(I'll exchaneg him later) So I wave I got my 1 complete set and I am happy for now.
Time to wave Vehicles wave 2. Fridays payday. Watch out Toys R US.

Wal-Mart and Target in Towson (off Joppa Road) had remnants of waves 7, 8 and 9 this afternoon - no BATs or Snow Serpents but I did get a HISS Driver (only need two more). Haven't seen a single BAT or SS yet.

i have one set of the vehicles being shipped from bbts as insurance for my mib collection. i already found one set to open so now i'm hunting for extra hiss tanks and vamps. the vamp, flight pod and ram are actually very cool but the air chariot sucks and the armadillo is so-so. to be honest, i'm not thrilled with the hiss either. the sticker set sucks but this can be easily fixed with reproduction stickers.

i am not certain but hoping that these will be easy to find in the next month or so. i'm in no rush to buy all i can find as a result. if i find lots more i'll certainly let you guys know.

What I did was use the UPC number to track down my wave 1 vehicles, called TRU in Rockville and the sales clerk stated that they had 6 in stock, I think I was on 95 before he even hung up..... Vrooommm!!!!!! LOl...

Came up empty at TRU.....

I've been reading through all your posts and have a few things to say. I don't fault anybody for buying multiple sets to army build. It did drive me crazy at one time (and is one of the reasons I've jumped ship from Joesightings to Hisstank)...but I'm hoping there will be plenty of this stuff to go around when supply reaches demand. First come, first serve right?

I myself only buy 1 of each figure. I can't afford more then that and I'm happy just to find 1 of each figure lately anyway. I'm more or less strictly a 82-86 era fan and only want the 25th figures that represent that time.

Now that I know I have some competition in my area maybe we can help each other out instead of buying everything up. Gas $$ is killing me and it would be cool to create a buddy system with you guys. I'm in the Annapolis area and travel anywhere from Bowie to Dundalk looking for stuff. I'd be willing to pick up stuff for you guys if you'd do the same for me. If interested we can PM each other our contact info and go from there.

They still had 2 of the rest and 1 vamp. They were also putting out the 12" figures on the top shelf near the 3 packs if anyone wants them. As a side note, they also have 8 wii fits.

That's all I'm asking. Cost plus shipping sounds more then fair to me. I just can't keep running around from store to store, it's killing me in gas $$. I haven't seen fan interest (or scalping) at such a frenzy since Star Wars re-launched back in 1995. I don't know if you guys remember that, but it was brutal.

that being said, i have 2 kids to shop for as well as myself. if i see it, i'm buying what i need. if i find extras and happen to buy them, you guys are the first ones they are offered to. this is what i've been doing for some time now and what others have been doing for me as well.

i know we collect differently; i army build, i have a moc/mib collection, i open them to play with. others may not. what i expect is that our differneces are respected. there is no reason why we can not work together despite our differneces in collecting to help each of us acheive our own goals.

if you have specific requests, please post them so that we can keep them in mind while hunting. please feel free to pm or email me as well. i am more than willing and happy to help others while in pursuit of my own joe happiness.

I just bought RAM set and Armadillo set at TRU in Waldorf. That was like 3 hours ago though.

I also work at Target in Waldorf. I currently have everything. I'll try to "hide" it in the backroom. Sorry, I'm broke so that's all I can do. Here's the problem, these vehicle sets aren't that great. I had all 4 in my hand and just couldn't bring myself to drop all that money on them. I bough the Vamp and Ram set and put the others back. All the 25th vehicles (current and upcoming) have all been released before during the past 15 years....we saw all these vehicles during the 15th Anniversary (maybe slightly altered, but mostly the same) and none of them are that hard to come by on the secondary market. I feel like I'm buying the same thing over and over again. Guess I'm a sucker.

I want something we haven't seen in 25 years...how about a HAL, MMS, FLAK and Wolverine? Maybe we will one day, but I have my doubts.

I'm passing TRU on my way home this evening....if anybody wants the other sets, I'll pop in and see if they're still there. let me know.

I didn't get into the 15th anniversary or much else Joe-wise between the original releases and now, so this is all "new" to me (since the late 80s, anyway). :)

It's new to me as well. I had some of the stuff released the past 15 years but not all. My point is it's already been done.....I'm holding out for that holy grail vehicle (like the A.P.C. or W.H.A.L.E.)....I just want something we haven't had yet. as much as i like these, i'm drooling over the target exclusive rattler! my sons and i want several. i never really liked the conquest.

i never owned any of these w1 vehicles so i'm happy to have them now. the air chariot however is not worth it for me.

like he said, nearly all of us want bats... i'm sur erevision cases will include more of htem making them easier to find.

It's the same almost everywhere you go. When the Indy figures first hit back in May some of them were hard to come by. It took me a few weeks tracking everything I wanted down. Now the pegs are jammed packed with them. Nothing is rare amymore. I fear wave 2 and 3 might see only limited release.

If Hasbro can keep the Indy figures shipping why can't they keep the Joe product flowing?

Forgot to post Monday I found a case of Wave 9 at the Arundel Mills Walmart. Now just need to find the 4 vehicles.....

With most of the vehicles I just want the figures (running out of room), so I can probably offer up the vehicles to people here.. Not sure which Im keeping till I have them in hand but I will make the offer once I pick them up..

I don't always agree with everyone on the forum as far as collecting habits (benders, hiders, army building, etc) but it's nice to think that we can all get along in our shared love of collecting. It's a damn shame that anyone would feel the need to leave because people can't be civil.

I've read about other tankers going back and editing all of their posts, so I would assume not. I like this idea - I think I've seen state "Want Lists" from others, too. Let me know when you've added it.

Somebody posted they found Joe's at Giant. On a hunch I popped in to check it out at the Giant in Annapolis (festival center)....No Joe's, but they were stocked TIGHT with Indy, Hulk and Iron Man figures. They had just about any figure you want/need common and rare. Funny, I would have never thought to check a Giant......I'll keep an eye out for the Joe's. Thanks for the tip (I couldn't find the original posting....sorry)

I've seen the w3 comic packs in one giant out of all in my area.

They were the usual price, 9.99. They had a bunch of Sigma stuff, but who really wanted that...

They had pegs for the singles but they were empty.

The vehicles are coming in at a rate of 1 case or 2 cases. My brother told me he saw a vamp at the TRU in Rosedale in the military toy aisle. So I'm guessing they're just sticking this stuff in that aisle randomly.

A whole year has gone by for 25th stuff and its still hard to find and all over EBay. I wonder if Hasbro is forcing retailers to buy Sigma 6 product with the 25th. I'm so sick of seeing Indiana Jones toys dominating the pegs.

There was a case of vehicles at the TRU in Bel Air yesterday, as well as plenty of Wave 7 and drabs of Wave 8. An easy reach off 95 for those of you inclined to drive- I got my case from BBTS yesterday so I don't need 'em, but trust me, they're worth hunting for.
