Yesterday TRU in Rockville had a couple good MU figures. There was 2 Apocalypses, a Wave 13 Cyclops, and a WW Hulk, etc... I think they were pretty expensive but I forgot to check the price.

Picked up a Low Light and Cable w/ Hope at Walmart. They had full pegs. I left an extra Cable along with the rest of wave 13, and the POC was a wave 4 revision set, only Alley Vipers and Shock Troopers were worth grabbing but I left those if anyone needs them.

Made the rounds in Columbia, Glen Burnie and Ellicot City yesterday. Not much to report other than there are alot of Capt America Red Skulls floating around TRU, Wal Marts and Targets in the area. Almost every one of those stores in each city/area had at least 1 if not more Red Skulls on the pegs. GIJ and Marvel Universe however is nearly non existent in the area save for the 1 lonely Patch Silver Samurai 2 pack I saw and a couple Gladiators at TRU.

Any sight of PoC at Rite-Aid? I've only seen two or three figures at GIANT, Walgreens and CVS but the selection is always Wave 2 or 3 leftovers. Also, anyone find an AWE Striker w/ Night Fox at ROSS yet? I need one. Hopefully PoC figures will start ushering in to discount stores next month, still also hoping for Resolute seven-packs to show there too....

At this point I'm caught up on figures until 30th Anniversary hits. Hope to get some PoC Cobra Troopers here or there but I'm more excited about whats coming out this fall....

Columbia was barren today; a lone Ghost Hawk & Doom Cycle at Ross, TRU has the X-men box sets on sale for $28 (no variants), Target has a few Mystiques (look really rough, a bunch of random rough cards, looks like a store employee either uncovered a stash, or they were returns?), and some really old random MU's. Odd.
SW sections are barren.
WM is a joke, nothing new there in so long.

Columbia is very hit or miss, did Walmart even bother re-stocking Joes again? They have eight pegs there but nothing in stock. Seems like stores are taking their sweet time in ordering more stuff because of the late July reset for Fall-Christmas toys. Its funny because these stores aren't ordering a lot of cases and workers/scalpers/collectors buy the hot items up. I told myself to suck-it-up and just buy from BBTS etc. But the hilarious part is how many of these are MOC stored somewhere precious. Awesome if you're a collector, bad if you think these are investments.

I saw so many figures I never even saw at retail sold at Ross/TJ Maxx a long with vehicles it leaves me shaking my head about distribution.

Went to two ROSS stores across Maryland this week and they both had a PoC Awe Striker for $7.99. Thing is, each one was missing a Night Fox figure. This pisses me off because its most likely someone who visits these boards and targets where to find things based off of what we release. I managed to pick up a Reveal the Shield Grapple & Deep Dive though, still looking for Windcharger.

Saw a deluxe Captain America: The First Avenger Hydra Soldier for $9.99 at Target yesterday. Pretty lame since the damn figure has less articulation than the standard figures.

Hit the Columbia TRU and they of course had nada. However, I hit the Columbia Target and they had a new set of MU out. I already had everything they put out however they did have 2 Cable's with Baby Hope, 2 Jim Lee Cyclops', a bunch of Apocalypse and numerous other figures from that line and previous lines. Nothing else of note there however.

Picked up 2 skystrikers from target in timonium. I used the dcpi number and called around. They were the ones who kept it in the back for me. Other ones were not willing to look in the back. But I only got 2... so I believe there should be another one at the target on york road. Also saw an alley viper at target and saw 3 shock troopers at the Walmart just up the road.

I went to Abingdon with the dcpi today and they said they had none in the system....Cobra blue did you buy them out?

Skystriker use the link on the original thread by OSOK. Somewhere in the first 10 or so pages, it had a target link on it with the dcpi already pre-populated. All you have to do is punch in your zip and it will pull up the stores that have them. I did it on Monday and about 4 of the 8 stores that came up said limited stock. The other ones said no stock. I called 2 stores, with limited stock. Pikesville would not look in the back. Timonium, the guy went in the back and held 2 for me till I could get there. I think if you call ahead, it will save some time and wasted gas. Hope that helps.

I left 1 there, I was surprised to find them. Abingdon Target rarely ever has things, when the WalMart had Gi Joe, an employee who was a collector always got first dibs. The Toys R Us in Bel Air has an employee who does the same.

Really disappointed that we aren't getting any new characters pass the Hydra Soldier for this toyline. I am not sure how these things work but it seems asinine to continually pump one character into a toyline without making any room for other heroes and villains that haven't been made yet. At least MU is nicely filling in the gaps but Baron Zemo has been on my want list since MU started and we aren't getting one this year.

It's been a few weeks since I've even tried to look for new stuff. Every Target is sitting on old merchandise and they have the nerve to raise the figure prices to damn near $9 for Joes, MU and Star Wars. Who is really going to buy an Arctic Destro, Zartan, Dengar, Cloud Car Pilot, 4LOM or an AIM Soldier for $9.00 each?!? I got 1 Pink Zarana from HTS and another from BBTS. I wonder if any will go through....These are great exclusives but these aren't that rare. Last year I missed out on Sgt. Slaughter and there's cases upon cases upon cases out there that were smuggled and bought up. However, Sgt. Slaughter won't be re-released for a very long time based on the WWE license/trademark. Hasbro won't be stupid to destroy these molds.

They can just go to the factory and whip these up easy if they're ever looking to make some money. I love this hobby and I collect to collect, not turn a profit or horde. But good lord some people froth at the mouth to turn a quick buck.

I really messed this one up. I wasn't sure if I really wanted the SS or not. So I didn't register with HTS. But I was reading the threads and checking this morning. I actually was on at 11:30 when they went up. So I got caught up in the moment and wanted to get it. New, boxed, and for roughly $45 (with the coupon), I said go for it. I had it in the cart, ready to order at exactly 11:30... but registering messed me up. I couldn't get past that part.... and it just took to long. I gave up when I saw it was out of stock. I don't hate SDCC. I just wish Hasbro would stop selling integral ARAH figures as exclusives. Why sell Artic Destro to peg-warm major toy retailers when you could have instead had Zarana or Sgt Slaughter? I imagine Sgt Slaughter or Zarana may not even be made had it not been for SDCC but we get a Croc Master figure? Really?

I'd rather the SDCC exclusives be variants of an already released figure or vehicle. I would have liked to have gotten a "SkyScream" but its not a huge loss. I'm not going to be bummed over getting a silver head Pimp Daddy Destro or Black suit Cobra Commander. In actuality, I wouldn't be bummed at all regarding the SDCC exclusives if the process to purchase these exclusives wasn't so absurd. I wish Hasbro would just sell the inventory to a third party retailer or give it to the GI Joe CC to sell. I believe that would prevent a lot of scalpers from trying to gobble up what's left. Hasbro Toy Shop most likely is an outsourced company using the Hasbro logo as a moniker. Thus, they don't care about the fanbase. We should be mad at Hasbro and not HTS. HTS makes their money either way. Its just a bad experience. I don't mind not being able to purchase the items. I do mind the experience of having items in my cart not able to be purchased when someone 15 minutes later adds the same item, purchases it, and then I'm left without the merchadise I wanted to buy. Its just a bad way to treat a customer. Its one thing to have people at 11:30 gobble up the inventory and I'm left in the cold at 11:35. Its another when its "luck of the internet". Its like Hasbro opening a store with Gi Joe items everyone wants in the middle of the store....with NO RULES haha. Only a few will come out alive and with product. It just further proves Hasbro doesn't know what do with the Gi Joe Franchise either.

On the lookout for TRU MP Rodimus in Rockville so if any of you guys are going there please take a look for me if you don't mind.

I ran by there today and checked and they didn't have him. I asked the clerk at the costumer service desk and they tried to look it up for me but couldn't find it in the system. I said that they were being sold at Columbia TRU (i was wrong as they were posted in this thread at the Rt. 40 location) and asked if she could call and get the item # in order to help with the in-store search but after a few mins of fumbling on the phone it became clear to me that she didn't know how to dial out. Are you fucking kidding me??? She couldn't even use the fucking phone let alone help me locate the product. Fucking ridiculous!!!

Finally a manager come by and dials the phone for her and the people at Columbia were clueless as well. So I wasted about 20 mins of my life with these assholes...

ANother note: They have 2 Skystrikers there for $43. All I can say is that store must be the largest hive of tards in the entire retail world. Just sayin'.

hey guys, saw 3 skystrikers at the target in columbia. nothing new the target in annapolis, just some left over MU stuff.

BUT, i did have some luck with the new MU wave. picked up a doc strange, scarlet spider, falcon, and a dr. doom from SUPER WALMART!! yes the one walmart on 97 does have these figures. not sure of the others though.

Saw a crazy legs on the pegs at target in GB (by Toys R Us). The card had slight veining... but it you are taking him out, who cares. Didn't see anything else at the TRU or Walmart in GB. Nothing at the TRU on 40 or Walmart on 40 in Ellicott City.

I picked up a MU Wave 14 Scarlet Spider from Target today as well as the MU Fantastic Four box set for $19.99 from Walmart. They had the others but Thor looks like a drag queen with too much mascara and the X-force box set is redundant with yet another Wolverine, Deadpool and the same first release Warpath.

Picked up a complete set of the 4 inch figs minus the kittens and mummy Mummra because they are not worth tbe $7.99 price tag imo in Columbia today actually. Also grabbed a Mummra and Grune deluxe figs. I might have to pick up a Thundertank eventually. Not bad figs IMO.

plenty left in Columbia, on an endcap down by the video game toys, easy to miss.

no sign of new MU wave, did find a SENTINEL set mixed in the wrong section at TRU, really beat up box, smashed to @#$@, but very happy with that toy.

The Wolvie fig is an XMO mold though, so not as detailed as regular MU figs, but eh, what'ev's. Lame incarnation of Wolvie anyway.

Super Walmart off 97 had remnants of it with a single Skaar on the pegs. That was all I've seen of the wave in the area since last week though.

Just shows how many "completist" there are in Maryland. Target in Ellicott City, Silver Spring & Laurel no longer have anything from Wave 14. Don't waste your gas. Walmart in Laurel and in Arundel Mills have PoC Wave 1 revision cases, no new MU Waves. I hate posting exactly where finds are on here because it gets gobbled up by the time you hit submit reply. Thanks for the tip on the team sets. Got to there and a mother was putting a Fantastic Four one in her cart; the only X-Force set was a little rough on paint for my tastes, but grabbed Avengers/Fantastic Four. Still one of each set left.

Additionally, I saw a Captain America: The First Avenger Crossbones, Red Skull, Night Mission and Jungle Mission Cap at Target last night for $7.99 each. Also, saw the deluxe US Agent with three shields and one with four long blades coming from it. I couldn't pull the trigger since all of these will be on sale for $5 around November. The same Target had all of the latest wave of Star Wars Vintage figures, which again will be on sale at Walmart around Christmas time so need to worry now.

Bummed I missed out on the MU Dr. Strange which is a bummer since Wave 15 has already started hitting places in Cali. This wave has Steve Rogers Cap, Darkhawk, X-23, Classic Sub-Mariner & Ultron. 2012 looks like it will be awesome for Marvel.

Still in need of: MU Masterworks Sentinel, Transformers MP Rodimus Prime, RtS Windcharger, 3.75" Spiderman Shocker and more of PoC Waves 5 & 6 troop builders, never really seen much of it all.....

Any word on when thbe first two waves of 30th Anniv Joe figures are supposed to hit? I heard both the 15th and 29th but I guess the first is for online orders only.

Damn...haven't seen reports of wave 15 hitting anywhere. I hate the drought from December to May and then the flood from July through December. So exhausting.

To answer your earlier question about completists, I found my way to Hisstank when looking for 4" scale customs when MU first came out. The board I post at more is thefwoosh.com. There are a few more MU collectors there as well, that also hunt the same areas of MD/DC/NorVa. Fair Lakes, Glen Burnie, Columbia, Laurel and Annapolis. So while it may seem like things vanish, I do try to post sightings at both sites and not all the collectors are on both.

I feel ya, Target sucks when it comes to action figure selections. I wonder why in the hell they still have IM2 and Tron Legacy figures at full price but only four pegs for Joes at $8.79 that they haven't restocked since last Christmas. Seems like they aren't concerned with having enough shelf space geared towards lines that actually sell. My guess is that they are expecting to get much more of the figures now on sale and need to clear out the pegwarmers thats been there since last year. Anyways, by Christmas time we should be all caught up with SW, MU and PoC....

Green Lantern & Thor were on clearance (not much of a markdown on the 4" figures, though), some Transformers, random other stuff.

They have a fair amount of PoC waves 1-2, minus the cooler army builders. The place is a huge mess, though - boxes everywhere.

Found the entire latest MU wave, along with all variants and several other past waves with nearly full pegs and end warmers at Target in Easton. My last stop before coming home. I left a lot there, but took the Dr. Strange pair and a variant Bullseye and Daredevil.

If anyone is a collector of variants and is up for the trip (30 miles from the Bay Bridge) they both of each variant from the latest wave. I also counted 5 Hydra Soldiers, I grabbed 1. Nothing good to Joe's though. And I'd update you guys on the TF, but I don't collect them :)

Hey Guys, I just bought the SW Y Wing for half price at the TRU on route 40 (roughly Ellicott City). I see in the ad, there is another ship that is 50% off (looks kind of like an x wing). It was really cool, as my son has been talking about SW ships since I bought him the MF from JoeMama. Syn3sthesia tried helping out with the 20% discount on the TRU facebook page. But I missed that. So I was thrilled to walk in and see the ship he wanted for half price!
