Also, I'm about to file a complaint about the Super Walmart store in Laurel. I called and asked if they where carrying Joes again and after talking to several people and being on hold for 30 mins I was told they did. However when I asked the lady if they could just tell me what was on the package she hung up the phone on me. I drove from Tyson's Corner, VA to Laurel, MD to only find that by G.I.Joe on pegs they meant this:

That sucks. I stop by there 3-4 times a week on my way into work. I can let you know if/when they start carrying Joes again.

These are my first finds in a while, and I usually only finds leftovers so I actually got an advantage which I didn't mind taking for once. But I only mostly get 2 of each troop builder. The 3rd and 4th Vipers as well as the 2 IG's are for a friend. I left everything else there, 4 cases worth.

Hello all, I haven't posted in awhile mainly because I haven't seen anything new in the past 5 months! I did find some stuff yesterday though:

Walmart #1 - Huge display of Transformers Dark of the Moon, picked up a deluxe Shockwave (was last one out of about 30, not sure if he's shortpacked). Huge display of Captain America (had plenty of everything from wave 1). All the new vintage SW (lando, weequay, etc.). Four full pegs of MU, yet nothing from the new wave.

Walmart #2 - Lots of new Transformers DOM and Captain America again. TF Scourge and Kup also. Full set of new PoC wave (picked up a rock viper and iron grenadier). Also had new MU comic 2-packs (about 5 of each).

TRU - Plenty of Transformers DOM and Captain America (guess these are out everywhere now). Remains of new MU wave (only lame original wolverine left). Also had MU X-Men 6-pack for $35.

Worked up near PA today and hit a few stores on the way home since I was able to leave early. Here are my finds. Was another good day and I'm caught up now with the Joe's, apart from POC wave 5, but I found a few other goodies as well. Still looking for wave 13 MU, First Class comic packs and the Walmart Giant Battles.

Well I'm in Glen Burnie too, so obviously those are my first hunting spots as I'm local. The only "scraps" so to say that I've found were some leftover MU wave 13 Wolverine's at Target over the weekend. Someone is definitely hitting the spots and grabbing the rarer figures, and not just 1 of each if there are multiples. When I go out on my runs I only grab one of each figure if I find them, except for troop builders where I sometimes grab a few, but most end up coming here anyways to help other tankers who need them.

Over the last two weeks however I've ran into the Cap 3 pack at Kmart, POC wave 4 and 6 as they were fresh at TRU and Walmart, but since I have them all I passed. Haven't spotted anything new this week so far. Not really any fresh finds so to say, but maybe next week we'll get some stuff.

I did grab 1 Shock Trooper from Walmart actually, but I left everything else there. No interest in the Rock Vipers whatsoever. TRU was fully stocked and they had a wave 6 Snake Eyes oddly enough, a faulty return maybe? Only one from the wave. This was last week though. There were several ST's and AV's at both places.

i did notice a buttload more pf peg warmers at alot of places lately i though maybe they were mixing them in with the new waves i was at rt 40 tru no new joes saw 2 capt britans
someone is def over buying and making it hard on rest of us im only trying to complete my first round all im missing is roc viper and snake eyes havent seen any wave 5 though im just tired of having to drive all different directions to even find anything anymore seems alot of places put out 1 box and thats it and your lucky if you go early screwed if your late that same person is probably selling at flea market for double price

I was told that Waves1 & 2 came in together to some stores. I left out Walmart because from my experience, the floor associates do not go in the back and look for toys if you ask them kindly. I guess its a shady store policy against collectors/scalpers....

I've had luck with the employees at TRU and Target at least going in back and looking for me. The only time I was able to catch any Joe's at Walmart was when they were night stocking the super Walmart and I had an employee open a box of wave 1 POC. $10 each at the time though so only got AV.

A woman at Target did tell me however, they have palets in the back that are still wrapped, but they have a date they have to follow before they can put them on the floor. I came back the morning of the Cap figures release and they were setting up and moving the isles around, was told to try back around noon and they were putting them out. No wave 2 though.

Joes are back to the $8.49 mark and DCUC is insanely at the $17.49. Everything got the dollar bump over a day period. F' that!

I was in two Walmarts that just started carrying Joes again. They are still priced at $6.97. I think its an area thing based on average income. They can charge slightly higher gas, food 7 enterainment prices in areas of Montgomery County such as Gaithersburg, Silver Spring, Rockville & Bethesda.

The Classic X-men packs are at the TRU Owings Mills (they had 3 at lunch today), the Silver Samurai 2-pack is at Rt.40 Walmart by Rolling Road (in abundance, they have even more on the endcap between the two toy rows). Croc-Master is the only new Joe, had 2.

Pass, I saw these twice at TRU and couldn't see paying $15 - $18 for straight repaints.

For anyone looking for the Giant Size X-men six pack its at TRU for $37.99. I passed on that one too since the figures look cheap and still uses those god awful body sculpts from the initial MU Waves.

Frederick TRU had Cap wave 2, grabbed the only Red Skull to go with the full set I just picked up from KMart (ordered online for in store pick up at $6.99 a piece). Didn't we agree that Rockville was shithole as far as getting new stuff? I would call TRU Rockville and ask them to reimburse me for the precious gas I wasted looking in that damn store that is $1 more expensive on every item then any other TRU.

Frederick TRU had Cap wave 2, grabbed the only Red Skull to go with the full set I just picked up from KMart (ordered online for in store pick up at $6.99 a piece). Also picked up the MU origins Cyclops/Marvel Girl 2 pack for $14.99 at the Frederick TRU. Going to hit WM and Target in Frederick on the way home.

I would like to drive out there but damn, only one new figure? It seems wave 2 may hit saturation by early next week but the only thing I'll buy at full price is Red Skull and Crossbones. I think TRU is going to have a 2 for $10.99 soon so new figures can start getting in store sooner. Too bad though, I've seen it with my own two eyes, the Wave 2 case assortments are being short-packed intentionally. That means one store might have three cases of Cap Wave 2 but no Crossbones or Red Skull.

How did Kmart.com go as far as ordering figs? After my sixth order got canceled online and two other ones were the wrong figures I have all of Wave 1 for free because the item is under $10 eac h.

Went to Walmart today and saw that they have eight pegs for Joes at $5.00 each!!! Hopefully the new waves will start coming in more frequent next month. I plan on army building some of the troops in Waves 5 & 6.

Went to the Disney store in a mall today also. They had about twelve variant GIANT sized X-men six packs (w/purple phasing Nightcrawler) there for $49.50 each. A little too pricey for me, especially just for one decent Storm figure. TRhey also are expecting to get in new Captain America figures soon.

Its a wrap for Target when it comes to PoC. With the 30th Anniversary figs and vehicles currently being viewable in the system I'm sure orders have been placed for the August time frame for the newer Joe case assortments. They barely got some of Wave 3 so I'm sure they are planning to clearance out those PoC Alpha Vehicles, MECHS, Arctic Destros, Jungle Vipers, Dustys and Zartans as soon they have a better idea as when the new stuff is supposed to arrive.

Its sad that Target has turned into the last place I look for new stuff now. Their pegs look mostly empty or half full and they stopped stocking Star Wars and Transformers Generations altogether. They might get in a case of MU figures regularly but its most likely a revision. they still wont clearance out TRON legacy, Iron Man 2 and toy Story 3 crap to make more room for popular brands. There are only concerned with Cars 2, Dark of the Moon and Pirates of the Caribbean 4 for right now.

Thanks for the heads up but I missed out on going out to see if they were there. I'm in Silver Spring, MD so going out there is kinda far to be disappointed if those items got snatched up before I could get to them. I'm completely caught up with MU Wave 13 and all Captain America figures. If I don't find PoC Waves 5 & 6 until later on in year no biggie since I haven't been anticipating any of the figures prior to knowing they were even coming out. Those Skystrikers might be sent four at a time if each store orders two cases. With Target being the only definite at this point your best bet is to wait until Hasbrotoyshop.som puts them up for pre-order or hope for Walmart and TRU to follow suit. Really pissed about the new Data Viper being scrapped in favor of a damn Cobra Viper repaint. I guess things should start picking up by the end of August with the late summer reset and again by Christmas with discount stores getting in some IM2, Pirates of the Caribbean, Prince of Persia and PoC toys.

i managed to get my fill of the rattler and conquest so i'm not overly concerned about vehicles not being stocked, more that profiteers will buy them all up only to return them much later when they don't command twice the store price on ebay and the like.

TRU in GB has shock troopers, alley vipers, jungle vipers and that crazy dreadlock dude, cant remember his name. I picked up some Shock Troopers but left quite a few. Kinda amazed to find anything in that TRU, its normally picked clean. This was around 1800 hrs so who knows whats left by now...

The Pursuit of Cobra line is starting to pop up in discount retailers like TJMaxx/Marshalls and has been at ROSS since last year. It's only a matter months before the 3.75" figures are going to be found at these places for $3.99 each. I would just wait, if an abundance of stores in the greater Maryland region stopped making orders for Joes at the beginning of the year then truckloads of it will be shipped to discount stores along with IM2 figures for the Christmas season.

Joes are so lackluster lately with the exception of Low Light and their distribution so bad that I have started to collect Transformers instead.
I've had enough Snake Eyes, Vipers and Storm Shadows. With Low Light in my ranks I can move on. Hasbro can keep Renegades figs (if they don't get cancelled).

Blackman has hooked me up with valuable information regarding stuff on the pegs in the past. He also has posted dozens of frustrated comments about not finding anything. It just doesn't seem worth it to me but to each his own. Perhaps it's all about the thrill of the hunt.

I am just now giving up on MU. I'm sick of hunting for them. I will keep most of my mutant themed figures and pick up any new x-men type stuff that isn't a bad repaint. my wife was out and about in VA today and bought me crazy legs. that was all she could find throughout the woodbridge, dale city area. how does md target/walmart distribution work if the laurel area gets stuff but the germantown/giathersburg does not? just not willing to spend 2 hours in the car to reach north of the beltway.
oh, she managed to get a nerf clear vulcan for under $20 at springfield VA target. they were misavdvertised and she doesn't take no for an answer.

I frequent the Walmart in Laurel very often and come up empty handed when I'm there specifically for Joes. Someone cleans them out early in the morning daily and only leaves a Blowtorch or Cobra Commander behind. Not worth a two hour drive if that's all you want.
I wouldn't worry that much about PoC anymore, stores aren't even ordering Joes until the August timeframe. I am betting on the Fall timeframe for PoC figures to start filling up pegs at TJ Maxx/Marshalls at $4.99 each. Can't wait to get another Low-light....

Scored a Thor Destroyer figure as well as the rest of Thor series 2 yesterday at Wal Mart. The Warriors 3 are mediocre at best but I do like the Destroyer figure. Also scored another Red Skull and Crossbones as well.

Sorry blackman...the guy that usually clears out the Laurel Walmart early in the morning is me. But I swear, all I bought from POC 5 was five cobra troopers. And I'm done now.

The store is on the way to my office, so as long as I leave the house early enough, I try to stop by at least four mornings a week.

Not too keen on my MD geography, but was at the TRU off of 5 near Andrews Air Force Base. They had 2 cases of the Steel brigade wave on the pegs. Another guy picked up a few figures and I bought the remaining cobra troopers. But several bats, SB's, Hawk, CC, and yellow/red BT left.
