The thing is, my major competition is these two older guys with gray hair and huge stomachs. I've seen these two at several Walmarts and Giants scouring the toy aisles like vultures. You wonder why you can't find the Star Wars AT-AT? They bought all of them. I'm not sure if they are mainly into Joes or not but they will drop $300 on one visit and clear out the MU, Transformers and Star Wars right after the damn stock boy puts them on shelves...

Anyways, feel free to pm me guys, I'll look out and I'm mostly done with the hunt until December and everything is well stocked...

I'm confused. When i was a kid that Babies R Us WAS a Toys R Us. My Aunt lived right down the street and I could walk there from her house. I bought MANY a Joe there in the summer of 83 and 84. I do remember it being one of the bigger TRU's I had ever been in and the Joe aisle was stocked floor to ceiling. When did it morph to only a Babies R Us and now it's switching back??? weird.

Last Christmas season, They used part of the store for a TRU Express. I'm guessing toy sales were solid and they've been remodeling the store so that it is both TRU and BRU in the same space.

I know every hobby has these kinds of people. They really are sad. I solidly believe Hot Wheels people are the absolute worst. I used to work for a Target (out in California) and every single morning they would be there at open and beeline it for the car aisle. They were so obsessed that when the PS2 was released, they were upset about the people camping out overnight and complained to a manager BEFORE the store opened and actually said that some of the PS2 people might go to the car aisle first!

Columbia TRU is closed, I was there for the last few days, just the ROC Joe keychains towards the end.. All the good stuff cleared out @ 40% off, and even then it was mostly ROC shelfwarmers.

Agreed, October 14th was the date for the new TRU that was floated by the store employees from the one on Dobbin.. I'm hoping, and I think this was sorta confirmed, that the new store will be an Alpha level store, so we'll get more new stuff in deeper waves.

blackman2005- I hit the Target on York Rd. by Padonia Road a few days ago... nothing new there, but a ridiculous tonage of Spidey, Iron Spidey, and Iron Man MU figs..

They did have the Whiplash IM2 endcap / 3-pack up.. Whiplash is a pretty cool fig, just not very moveable.

That pretty much sums it up.

I've deal in the past with arch2b and KushViper as of late and I know Blackman lives pretty close to this area.

I would assume is safe to say the majority will be looking for these vehicles but if not do let me know.

I can only imagine that the Stingers and Tanks are going to seriously move. I don't think finding the Flakk or the Skyhawk would be too much trouble once they start to hit. I just want one Stinger without going thru eBay. I would prefer to meet up and trade $ for it or something else.

Not sure about anyone else, but I found a Stinger today!!!! I did a little calling around to some stores I hadn't tried yet and found a Ross that had one. I'm heading there tomorrow morning to pick it up. The manager said he will hold it in his office for me until I get there. By far the nicest Ross employee I've spoken to, apart from the one girl who went looking at the shelves. Sadly, that was the only 25th wave 5 piece that was on the shelves.

To make matters worse, the regional representatives were there eyeing inventory; they seemed disappointed int he upkeep of the floors here. Can't blame them though, ROSS always looks run down whenever I enter one. Anyways, no Wave 5 vehicles here. they had a Dragon Hawk and both TRU 5 packs but that was it. No Star Wars or Wolverine and one RoC ripcord figure that was ripped open.

I'm back guys, with some updates too! Ross in Bowie has 2 Ghost Hawks on the shelf. Ross in Upper Marlboro has a FLAK/CLAW and an Arctic HISS. They may have more Stingers hidden, but I only grabbed one of each.

All in all it was a good day. The Waldorf TRU has Spirit and Quick Kicks, as well as the new MU wave, but no Mystique's. Marshalls in Waldorf had a bunch of RoC vehicles for $12.99 and a few 25th carded figures, including some Cobra Troopers for $3.99. Walmart in Bowie had A Mystique though.

I didn't hit up the Alexandria stores since they were about 20 miles out of the way, but I'm happy I at least picked up my Stinger and HISS today, very pleased :) Good luck to anyone else going hunting!

I got word from a friend in BC Canada that the Kamakura wave has hit the bargain bin at their TRU. The packages were pretty dinged up I'm told, but I managed to have him grab me 1 each of Kamakura, Nano Viper and Desert Viper for $3 each!!!! He's mailing them out loose to save on shipping, which I don't mind since I'll be displaying them.

I thought I'd let my fellow Marylander's know first hand so you guys can try and keep an eye out for any chances to pick some of these up from friends or traders in the great white north. But it may only be a matter of time until they hit down here, probably at second run stores like Marshall's or Ross.

I've only seen three in retail which are the three I bought. This is since last month. I live alongsie the I-95 region around Anne Arundel, Laurel, Howard and Beltsville so its a dense collector region because of accessibility to big retailers offf of the Interstate. If there are areas that have Alley Vipers and Jungle Vipers galore let me know. I also posted my want list a few pages back but now I'm primarily looking for:

I live alongsie the I-95 region around Anne Arundel, Laurel, Howard and Beltsville so its a dense collector region because of accessibility to big retailers offf of the Interstate. Lol, I don't go by the online shipping dates anymore. For PoC I think once it hits stateside it'll get distributed throughout. I heard the revision wave is coming in October so by late October, early November, PoC Wave 3 sightings may start appearing.

Have you seen how the new TRU is going to look recently? Is it much larger than the one in the Dobbin Rd. Columbia Crossing Town Center? I haven't been there in over a month now because they took out the TRU temporarily.

Picked up Galactus at TRU Owings Mills. It rang up as 54.99 but the sticker on the shelf still showed 49.99. I had to show them to get the lower price. Add in the $5 coupon and I got it for $45.

The online store also increased the price. It's funny how TRU price gouges when they finally have some to sell.

Also found the Iron Man cube at K-Mart. Had a lot of the new comic wave including the army drone. Now if I could just find the air drone...

I saw st least five drones, three Comic Iron Mongers, Silver Centurion, Arctic and Modern Armor Iron Man. I was about to go apes@#$ on spending but the price of each are $7.88. wtf? First my homie must of lied to me about figures being $5.00 at this point and now they've actually increased the price?

I think it's to make up for the slow sale of older figures that clogged pegs since July. Plus all of these figures we are just now getting are two months late.

Additionally, is TRU the MU headquarters now? I never see anything newer than Wave 9 remnants at Target and Walmart while TRU has Waves 8-10, Galactus and the upcoming ML 2-packs. Anybody know when to expect newer stuff at TRU?

Besides Snake Eyes v.3 and Lowlight there's no must haves on the PoC roster. I wonder why do retailers raise the price of figures right before Christmas just to lower them shortly afterwards. I guess it's leveraging but it hinders newer stock from coming in smoothly; especially when there will be a feeding frenzy and they'll make up any lost that they felt throughout the year.

I'm gradually slowing down with collecting with the games that's being played with stocking and accountability in retail currently. We get things two months late or when it comes on time the popular figures are snatched off of pegs before anyone can get them. Plus the MSRP for PoC is $5.99 and they are bold enough to make it $1.69 over that? Marvel Universe just started to get stocked in most places last week and IM2 figures have been steadily warming the shelves at $6.99 since July 4th. I'll hold off until Thanksgiving to search for newer stuff again.

Checked a couple stores today.
WM in Catonsville had plenty of PoC Wave 2 including about 5 jungle vipers. Had a few new IM2 (ultimate IM, fusion IM and ground assault drone). I also picked up TF cybertronian megatron and soundwave.

TRU in Catonsville had all the new Tron toys out on the shelves. Had a couple Galactus left and again plenty of PoC. They also have the extra 25% off clearance stuff, worth checking out.

I drove by the TRU in columbia on Monday and it still looked like they have a lot of work to do.

they had a few Galactus figs on the shelf... my son saw it and went crazy and he doesn't even know who Galactus is! Impressive figure.

Wal*Mart Towson has Ultimate Iron Man wave... saw at least one of them on the pegs. not much new on the Joe front, though... but at least there was some stocked as opposed to when I've gone there and almost none were up.

I saw the Concept Series Ultimate Armor Iron Man and passed because the figure looks too flimsy + I hate un-imaginative repaints being made just to fill out a case assortment. The one I'm referring to is the Ultimate Iron Man from the Ultimates comics. He comes with a interchangeable drone head. In this wave there is a Mandarin, Comic Modern Whiplash/Backlash and Dark Reign/ Android Rhodey War Machine.

I went the Walmart here in Laruel and someone snatched up the remaining Drones and Comic Mongers and at $5 I couldn't blame them. However, MU figures have risen to $8.97 each to only have to go down to $6.99 again when the next two waves come in stock for Christmas.

PoC is shelfwarming unfortunately because of the retailer's popular character syndrome. Only Firefly, Alley Viper and Recondo are missing from pegs mostly everywhere. To make matters worse, Wave 3 will push more core characters which will cause things to slow down even more. Hopefully the price will drop to $5.99 each before Christmas so that these figures can get flushed out by January and we can start seeing Low-light earlier next year.

Last week was an awesome week when it came to finding Marvel toys. I copped a Galactus, Spiderman Carnage (3.75") and Lizard (6") without looking high and low for them.

The most exciting thing is the new ML 2-packs. Winter Soldier and Deadpool look badass.

Alley Viper was actually the first PoC I picked up. I went to Walmart one night to grab a few things and they were stocking toys, saw the box and asked the employee to open it, low and behold there he was. Price came out to $9.99, but I couldn't pass it up.

NYCC had some decent toy revealings. I'm pretty sad that they didn't announce the X-Force ArchAngel exclusive for MU until last minute, so they will probably be a hefty price to pick one up at. I'm stoked about the Captain America series though :)

The NYCC pics were awesome. The Thor movie figures look ok but some of the Capt America items look awesome. What bothers me is I have bought the current Winter Soldier and now I find out a much better looking Winter Soldier will be included in the Capt America series. I am hoping we get a Red Skull and an Agent 13 to go with Cap. The new MU figures look awesome as well. I can't get over how great the WW Hulk figure looks. As does the Cable figure.

I heard a radio spot for the Columbia TRU/BRU Grand Re-Opening. I'm guessing if you go it better be Friday as it'll be packed the weekend if they are promoting it. They advertised Geoffrey (the TRU giraffe), Iron Man and Barbie as making appearances. Only caught part of the ad so I didn't hear any specials or freebies. The Towson re-opening didn't have much... just a few things in a mailer like Buy 1 get 1 1/2 off DVD's... Marvel figs, too, I think... ubt it is Marvel Mania Month so for all I know they could have been advertising stuff that was in their ad as well :-)

They did have several full sets of GI Joe POC wave 1 and 2 figs EXCEPT Alley Viper. Not even the new Blue Iron Monger Iron Man wave. It literally looks like they just took everything that was in the old store and put it in the action figure isle of this store. The store itself is huge and very nice just no new product that I saw. Checked Columbia Target and Wal Mart as well and nothing new there to report either.

The place is huge but I won't go out of my to hit it up every week. For us Marvel Legends and Universe collectors, Walmart seems to be the best bet. I went there with the hopes of finding the new ML 2-packs but they had the same ones that came out earlier this year for $17.98. No Wave 2 PoC Bravo vehicles, Only one case of the MU Wave 11 that went out within three damn minutes. They obviously didn't stock to the brim with anything figure based besides Star Wars which has three blue cubicles on the floor and a front wall display (DAMN!!!!). Seems like things will definitely pick up around Christmas though.

I saw the W2 Alpha vehicles (Ice cutter, Awe Striker) at the Wheaton Target. I left them behind.

Kind of nice but the price tag is more than I can stomach. Too small of a vehicle for almost $19. I'll wait it out and let ROSS spoil me some time down the line.

I've sen at least 14 Jungle Vipers while looking in the past three weeks. These are easier to find than Firefly.
