I went to the TRU on rt. 40 last night looking for the exclusives - they had zip. I haven't tried "my" (Columbia) TRU since I found out they were moving.

Haven't seen any of the TRU express shops yet.

Has anyone sighted any new MU figures from this year ex. Hammer Files Wv. 3-6. I'm only seeing the revision waves at Target and TRU and Walmart haven't bothered restocking this wave at all since Spring.

Also, PoC Wv 2 is showing up in retail on the west coast and surprise surprise we get f&*ked again by getting things uber late and in small supply.

The real reason why I'm P'd off today because i went to Target (Colesville)this afternoon and went into the action figure aisle E21 and picked up a MU Namor and scanned it at price check and it said IN STOCK. Elated, I waited until an associate came around and asked for them to check to see if there were more in the back. The associate went in the back and 15 minutes came out and told me there was a mix up in the system that there were indeed none in the back. He said something about a Ghost stock that someone put in the system by accident when there was none in the store. I was mad at how screwed up their inventory was and just left the damn store.

i check the ollies in gb today and found deepsix for the roc line and the comic con baroness doll but since i dont have a flashlight i couldnt see far into the cinder blocks and plywood shelves

I have never seen a regular Archangel in retail and they aren't stocking this wave anymore at many Targets, there's this revision case that is getting stocked but is full of figures that nobody wants.

I'm 100% convinced that rare or "chase" figures are being snatched off of pegs before people get a chance to purchase them. Even though some areas of Maryland are a heavy collector region its impossible for every Target, Wlamert and TRU that stocks this wave to only have the figures that are stocked x2 each case (Juggernaut, AIM Soldier and Colossus).

I've only seen the two variants once.

As of this morning Target Rockville doesn't have those guys.
As of Saturday, Target in Wheaton doesn't have those guys either.

Collecting for collecting's sake stinks when lines are limited to 1-2 cases/4 pegs per store. Get there when they are stocked or you lose out.

Although having done this now for 25th/ME and ROC, with really 1or 2 exceptions, all of these become abundant in time.

You'll eventually get it, you just may not be first.

On and off at this point. Once I get "classic" Robin and Martian Manhunter I think I can close the book on that line. Toy collecting in general has become less and less of a priority for me. Life is moving me in a different direction...no time for toys. I have been dabbling in the SW Vintage line but other then that I'm done...well, hunting for vintage figures will always keep me somewhat of a collector.

Target Wheaton has 3 of the Dark Avengers Comic pack and a TON of MU figures but they are all the recent revision cases full of pegwarmers. I would be surprised if they get any of the newer waves. They had 0 POC figs.

Towson Walmart had about 3 cases of the figures out on the pegs, i scooped up the last AV but there were 2 FF figures and multiples of the rest of the wave as well that i didnt grab and this was around 4:00pm today

Went to Frederick TRU yesterday and had a few SS, SE, Duke, etc.

You know those flip up overhead bins above the figure that they put extra stock? Well they usually are empty but I noticed something was up there so I checked it out and found an almost complete set of wave 1 someone had tried to hide! They were spread out above the SW, transformers also. I put them all back on the pegs including a CC :)

I look for MU, IM2 and PoC and no where in MD is stocking these three brands with new product. My local target has had 4 bare pegs for PoC for the last three weeks, the same three MU figures since July and the same initial IM2 figures that have dust on them. I go from TRU, Target and Walmart regularly since the beginning of the year a to my surprise about 85% of the time I come up empty handed. Now I make a decent salary so gas money isn't a major stress factor, its the energy of balanacing work, exercise, sleep and looking for something for several hours a week thats frustrating. This is a hobby that I can easily break if things don't improve with distribution. Also, when it goes on sale at online retailers they sell out before they become available.

For instance, California gets flooded with things weeks before us and when new product reach the east coast they are spread thin everywhere with all the most popular figures missing before they go on pegs. I'm into collecting but little plastic men just aren't worth all the trouble anymore.

Yeah, the only places I've seen PoC on the pegs are the TRU on route 40 and Wal-mart in Columbia (for $9.98 ea, when I last checked). Target has been bare every time I've looked - which, admittedly, hasn't been that much.

Hunt Valley Target (York rd) - No new PoC, but did have a new case of MU wave 9. Picked up a winter soldier (short hair), iron spiderman, skrull, wrecker, MJ and iron patriot.

Funny thing was, they had two iron patriots both were the variant with the osborn head, none of the regular version. Also the skrull base was in english. I thought it was in the skrull language.

Didn't get to look much, but I also saw AIM troopers, Juggernaut, Havok, and (I think) Winter Soldier. Didn't immediately see an Archangel and I'm not looking for that figure, so I didn't hunt for him (sorry). They were pretty well stocked, though.

I always forget that's there. Just a warning, though: it's not actually private - you have to have joined to post to it, but anyone can see it if they know that it's there. You don't even have to be logged in to the Tank to view them - I just logged out and was able to see them just fine.

If I'm a scalper that browses message boards thoroughly I can know when waves are appearing on pegs, skip work on particular days and go ape s#$% around MD buying things in multiples on the day that things get released without attributing to this board. I thought our social group Maryland Tankers was private because of the invite only access but if people can just view it I don't how we can get around inadvertinglly helping scalpers beat us to the punch.

I think Fogger, my man Kushviper, and Synth3sia all live in a 15 mile proximity from me. If we say buy and trade by region and then return what's not needed to retailers we could save alot of moolah on gas. For instance, I go to Target, pick up things I think someone else might want, PM one of you, trade or purchase the goods in person and we both go our own seperate ways. Its not scalping per se because I'll return whatever is not needed to the store the same day. I hate using this tactic but things are at its worst for casual collecting. I often have nightmares of Comicbook Guy from the Simpsons beating me to the punch at every TRU, Target and Walmart in the area. Its ridiculous .....

I checked the one at 695 also (I consider that one Reistertown). They only had Destro from the Wave 2 PoC, no new MU or IM2. The Owings Mills Target is the one northwest up Reistertown road past Owings Mills Mall. Take 795 up from 695. It's about 10 minutes from the 695 exit 20 Target.

I am here. But I have been living at work recently. I was able to pick up all of wave 1 in big swoop. Thanks Rosedale Walmart. Now I am on the hunt for Wave 2 and the TRU exclusives.

Saw those on a Friday like 2 weeks ago and by the next Monday they were all gone.

TRU Rockville has more Grimlocks in stock, also some He-man 2 packs and the Archangel Wave minus him. Regular Havok was there tho.

Nothing worth noting from the Target Rockville.

I just remember, TRU also had the new retro Star Wars figs. The wave with Gen Grievious on old card style.

TRU Owings Mills has new wave of Star Wars figures with vintage cards (from all movies). Even Episode I-III figures with vintage looking card. Still high at $9.99. No PoC, MU or IM2.

Thats my area of MD, I checked out the following today and yesterday:

Towson target had nothing but a doom cycle
Towson Walmart had alot of wave 1 figures, vehicles and mechs
Whitemarsh Target had the mother load of Wave 2, at least 3 to 4 cases on the shelf, i picked up 2 JV and a recondo...left behind multiples of all wave 2 figures
Timonium Target had nothing at all in the way of POC

also while working today i hit up Owingsmills Target which had remnants of wave 2 and Pikesville target which also only had remnants of wave 2, mostly destros and Dusty's

On a side note i have an extra JV and an extra FF for any of my fellow MD collectors who may still need em

i took my youngest son to germantown target tonight and he picked out recondo, desert snake eyes and beach head. we left behind destro, zartan, duke, dusty. the usuals were picked clean, even from the stock room.

TRU Owings Mills has new wave of Star Wars figures with vintage cards (from all movies). Even Episode I-III figures with vintage looking card. Still high at $9.99.

Walmart and Target have them for $7.99. Haven't seen wave 2 for myself yet but I kinda have mixed feelings about mixing prequel figures in with the original vintage waves. They're kinda cool but at the same time they hold no nostalgic value (for me) like say Dengar or 4-Lom does. I may bite on the Sandtrooper (cool card) but I think they could have picked some better shots for some of the other cards (Anakin for example)

I was able to dash into the Aberdeen Target (right off 95 at exist 85) Saturday evening; they had a bunch of Tornado Crap Snake-Eyes, two Destros, one Dusty and two JVs. I bought the latter 4 (one Destro, Dusty, both JVs). Scanning the clip said there were none in the stockroom.

Now if only Targets up here in DE would start stocking them.

There are more collectors in dense areas like Baltimore, Wheaton, Towson and Columbia than there were five years ago and stores simply don't acknowledge it. It's a shame but my closest Target and Walmart have empty pegs of MU and PoC for four weeks + and nobody gives a crap.

The cashier asked me how much it was, I said I didn't know, and she asked me if $5.99 sounded good to me. D@mn right it sounded good. Not a bad 3 pack either. The repacked Iron Man worked out well for me as the original I bought fell apart and this one is much sturdier. Whip Lash is pretty cool and the Army Drone is a nice figure as well.

glen burnie is swamped with poc wave 2 and since i got 12 jv its the olny reason any body is finding them now , kinda reminds you of the crimson guards dont it, annapolis tru has wave 1 in didnt check the target down there but it's safe to say it has wave 2

I'm holding off with hunting until November around Thanksgiving time. I've been working out every day to get my fighting weight back (165 lbs - lean cut). I'm hearing rumors of PoC Wave 3 hitting state side as early as October so that will be a real treat.

I've been disillusioned from collecting because it is too time consuming and the only product that is really impressive is Pursuit Of Cobra. I like MU but jeesh, the quality is very disappointing for a toyline thats approaching its two year point.

I'm still looking out for those MU figures listed but I'm not driving from here to Timbuktuu to find them. We can help each other out with sightings and I'll even hold a figure for you if see it first. I'll start leaving my note "Blackman2005 was here" on a sticky on the back of a carded PoC Destro action figure since every store should have one by now...

I'm mainly concerned with the possibility of finding Low-Light in Wave 4 ( Possibly January now). I KNOW that Hasbro will intentionally short pack this figure and that it will be heavily scalped. It pisses me off that Hasbro and retailers do things like this in order to drive demand for months on end...

TRU Owings Mills - Found Iron Hide Animated, SW AT-AT vintage box, SW 2-pack Slave I/Jedi Figther w/4 Figures, Cybertronian Megatron and Dirge Deluxe figures.

WM Hunt Valley - Plenty of PoC including Alley Viper and Jungle Viper

Target Reistertown - Found new IM2 figures! Advanced Armor, Arctic Armor, Silver Centurion & Comic Iron Monger. No drones. Plenty of 3-pack IM2. Had all of PoC wave 2.

Been seeing remnants of Wave 9 MU at multiple targets and WM, usually just winter soldiers. Haven't seen wave 10 yet. Haven't seen new joe vehicles either.

So I went to TRU Glen Burnie around 5:00 today, and nothing on the shelves. Then asked a blond 30ish year old guy about the Marvel cube and he says they just got in a new display in the back and he'll check.

He wheels it out and... HOORAY its the cube. He then tells me he has to put it back after I'm done cause they don't have a space for it on the floor. I gladly take my Wave 10 and Whiplash.

Then I ask him about the Masterpiece Grimlock and he says he saw those in the back as well. Brings out a box for me and I take one of those too.

MU Wave 10 is probably still there in the back so just ask. The guy I talked to was extremely helpful and would recommend asking him if you're ever looking for something.

Yeah, I bought one at retail and I would def buy another to keep MIB. Say what you want but MP Grimlock puts Starscream and Skywarp to shame. Way easier to transform too. I have spent hours just posing and transforming him in the weeks I have owned him. A must have.

The Frederick/MT Airy area is relatively weak in my opinion having lived here for 15 years now. I work in the Columbia area and have had alot of good luck there. The Mt Airy Wal Mart used to always get in alot of the rare items back in the day but ever since they remodeled the store the toy isle has shunken down to not even carry GI Joe or Marvel Universe and is rarely ever restocked. The Frederick Super Wal Mart and TRU are hit or miss for me, more miss than hit, and the Frederick Target is even worse. Good luck and welcome to the area. Wish I could say you are moving into a better toy collecting area.
