I found the Cobra Battle packs at Glen Burnie Walmart last night. No sign of the Joe sets. No shelf space for the sets....they were just thrown on top of the 12" Snake and SS motorcycles. I don't need the figures if anybody wants to trade or buy them.

I figure this is a long shot, but has anyone spotted wave 2 of the Target Exclusives?

I know this isn't a sighting, but I'm looking for a trade/buy. I'm trying to get a Gen Hawk that came with the PITT for a custom I'm working on. Any help or ideas?

Saw the PITT Gen Hawk at Ellicott City WM yesterday on the endcap with the ROC cardboard displays. It was in a Zartan package. It looked like his black jacket was missing though. Joes there are still $6 not $5. But not a bad price if you want the Hawk without having to pay for the PITT. Although, I wonder how the hell the repacker got away with sticking Hawk in a Zartan package. If he/she had any sort of common sense, they would have put it in a Hawk package at least. SMH

Some bastard bought up all the Pit Commandos there as well, I was pissed.

I have. The Target in Prince George Mall has them. They had a buttload of them too. Plenty of the Snake Eyes, Torpedo, the Jetpack and only one of the Snake Armor.

Hasbro has sacrificed quality for quantity. I no longer care for getting most the stuff they're making available from now through 2010. Hopefully, they'll offer more characters and larger vehicles as time goes by but from whats coming out; its just no worth hunting for.

Today I ventured up to Cockeysville, MD to check for CS SE, SORRY!!! no sightings at all of Waves 4 -5 at the Target and Super Walmart in this area. I saw the latest MU Wolverine and Spider Man and debating whether they were worth getting. Overall, the MU line suffers from poor character/figure modeling and molding, horrible paint apps and a sky high price point that can't be justified for such a small figure scale. I put back the House of M Spidey on shelves and left Target. I didn't see any WM exclusive Battle Stations at the Super Walmart across the street either. Today's search was a waste.

Finally saw the Dragonhawk and Hydra at WM yesterday. That was my first sighting of it at a WM. Based on the packaging, I could not justify $25 for that Dhawk and the fig with the Hydra just didn't cut it for me.

They are finally selling through their singles but still only waves 1-3.

also had a white coat dr.rex toward the back of the pegs, arctic snake eyes, "red ninja" something or other, and a pit commando (actually the first time I've seen one in a store)

we also have a bunch of the new five packs, and a bunch of crimson guard/g.i.joe trooper army builder sets.

I picked up the Resolute Roadblock Battle Station from Walmart today for $15.96 in Towson, MD. I missed out on Wave 4 from TRU in Columbia today. It's a shame because I have this $10 gift card for TRU and I expect to spend on the 2 for $9.99 sale this weekend :( . Anyways it's good to hear about new sightings regardless. Today while I was in Walmart I saw a Helix figure with a pretty decent head swap ( the head looked remarkably good on the Helix figure btw) repackaged and placed on front of the pegs. I paid it no mind and walked around the other side of the aisle to look for some new stuff. When I came back I saw that a phat MILF picked up that repacked figure and was still in the aisle. I helped her by telling her that it was a repackaged toy. She was appreciative since she had no idea if she was getting the right figures. A good deed always makes me feel good at the end of the day.

As of yesterday Walmart Arundel Mills still has the new vehicles..Dragonhawk, Snarler and the other two repainted things...didn't see any Battle Stations though.
TRU Annapolis has most of the new figures...Charbroil, Viper dude with the dog and a Storm Shadow on a blue card...POC maybe??? I passed on it all so it's still there.

TRU Columbia had the usual pegwarmers on Friday afternoon which was the first day of the sale. I saw Benchpress and Snow Serpents there with waves 1-2 but nothing newer than that. Walmart in Arundel Mills has Wave 2 vehicles and 300 + figures from Waves 1-3. I seriously doubt dropping the price is going to help the situation either. Parents and kids already have what they want, since RoC only offers a limited selection of new characters to pick from.

I was at Target on Calverton Blvd here in Colesville, MD. I saw all of Wave 5 Marvel Universe and I had Sunfire and Vision in hand but they were $9.29 each !!! OMFG. I put each back since I knew they'll eventually have to go on sale. The Target associate in the toy aisle said nothing came in for Joes for weeks besides those Attack on the Pit four packs. I really don't see stores having a large supply of Waves 4-5 before PoC hits shelves. This is the same exact situation we seen last year when Waves 11 and 13 were obscure and nowhere really carried Joes like that.

Also, with the drastic markdowns on RoC stuff like $4.00 Joes at Walmart, $3.00 at Target on Black Friday and $29.99 Night Ravens I'm not paying full price for anything else RoC related.

Again, Snowjob is being overused so much I wonder if there is some legal restrictions in producing a new Frostbite. Dude hasn't had a decent update since the 25th Anniversary/Modern Era/RoC debuted.

Guess I'm odd man out but I'm looking forward to the Past and Present Target Exclusive. It's one of the few "new" items I'll actually pick up. $25 doesn't sound that bad to me. The Battle Bear was one of my favorite vehicles as a kid and while I'll agree Snow Job has been done to death I still think he's cool. The "modern" Snowmobile thing-a-ma-jig isn't bad either.

I haven't found the Target set yet but the Battle Stations seem to be popping up with a bit of effort searching. I still haven't found the Outpost Defender but I have seen the others a few times. Yeah, the figures are lame..but that's what trading is for.

Doesn't mean it's not true... most of the stores are doing some of their best sale prices unadvertised... so the ads are just to get people in the door... once you are there, even better sales... and that could be what the $3 rumored price is.

I was considering going to either Target or WalMArt to get the $250 32" HDTV... but Best Buy has Black Friday HDTV prices now on the website... and you can pick up in store. The 32" they have is $299 but the extra $50 could be worth it for 2 reasons: 1) no waiting in lines for hours for the stores to open and chancing not getting one and 2) it's an LCD where Target and WM's are plasma.

no apologies necessary. Like I said, it wasn't in the ad scan I saw but that doesn't mean it's not part of the 50% off sale. A lot of retailers are not advertising a lot of their sale items just to hook you when you're in the door.

Which WalMart are you going to that will be open at 12am? Most are advertising 5am. BTW, are there ANY 24 hour WalMart's here? Back home there were several but I haven't seen one since I've moved here.

lol... I was just in the one on Joppa rd around 3pm. I picked up Hawk (have only seen him once or twice before) and masked SS... my first RoC SS. Sometime it is good to wait to get the figures. :-)

I rearranged the Joes at the Target on Cherry Hill Rd. in hopes that one Target employee will look and see eight completely empty pegs where Waves 4-5 can fit comfortably. I just want one measely City Strike Snake Eyes but i have to wait eight years for it to make its way up to our area in good amounts. Every dag on Kmart is poor on selection of newer Joes that I go to and the ones further out seem to have one but its not that stressing for me to that for a toy.

Kmart is a real hit or miss so I won't go out to Bowie, MD in search of CS SE only to find out that Marlon Wayans, Ninja Turtle/ Skittle Vipers and Chatting Tatum are clogging the shelves as usual.

Honestly, I don't really know what wave is what. K-Mart had about 4 pegs stocked tight with Joes I haven't seen before. I didn't really flip through them that well because I kept knocking them off the pegs. I do remember seeing the Fang Viper and Desert Viper (proper names??)...can't tell you if Snake-Eyes was or was not there. I really didn't check past two or three figs deep. Sorry.

I swear I was there less than 2 weeks ago and those pegs were full. I guess this is good news so maybe now they can start puttin some newer waves out. Vehicles though are still shelf warming.

For anyone in the military the PX in Fort Meade had 2 CS SE, 2 Jungle Ripcords, 1 Desert Viper, 1 Arctic Threat SS and 2 Pit Commandos. No CS Duke though. Passed on all of them, only one i need is CS Duke and sadly they didn't have it. Price was $8.85. Doesn't look like any of them will be disappearing anytime soon.

Edit: Forgot to mention there were also a bunch of 25th Wave 13 figures at the PX, such as Flamethrower, Resolute Duke, Resolute Cobra Commander, etc.

Plus knowing how people do in our area, scalpers and repackers and late arrivals of this particular wave, it is too much of a headache to bare. I found a City Strike Snake Eyes figure in the wild that was a damn repack; told the Walmart associate about it and she took it off the shelves. A few days later, at the same Walmart in Columbia, I see the City Strike Snake Eyes packaging only to realize that it is the same damn repack back on the pegs for somenone to purchase.

I really only wanted this figure from what I've seen being released as a whole this remaining year til next summer. I don't need to spend anymore time going from Silver Spring to Bethesda to Rockville to College Park to Columbia to Arundel Mills to Baltimore County to White Marsh to Cockeysville for one figure.

i remember those days... driving for up to 4 hours scouring stores for joes. that stopped when the modern era stopper for me. to this day, i still only have 2 roc figures. still haven't picked up the battle stations or snake armour although i want to. just not very motivated to go out anymore for joes.

I'm right there with you. I did get caught up and bought some ROC joes but decided to take them back. I only kept Firefly and the new chick.

Was waiting for the TRU Snow Serpys, saw them, grabbed them and I just could not pull the trigger anymore. I put them back.

Saw the Battle stations and could not pull the trigger either.

I missed the days of being able to find Eels or BATS in the pegs. Now I only find ROC (Rise Of Crap).

Plus knowing how people do in our area, scalpers and repackers and late arrivals of this particular wave, it is too much of a headache to bare. I found a City Strike Snake Eyes figure in the wild that was a damn repack; told the Walmart associate about it and she took it off the shelves. A few days later, at the same Walmart in Columbia, I see the City Strike Snake Eyes packaging only to realize that it is the same damn repack back on the pegs for somenone to purchase.

I really only wanted this figure from what I've seen being released as a whole this remaining year til next summer. I don't need to spend anymore time going from Silver Spring to Bethesda to Rockville to College Park to Columbia to Arundel Mills to Baltimore County to White Marsh to Cockeysville for one figure.

I'm starting to think that Maryland will always be the last to get newer waves of anything. We still don't have waves 4 and 5 on shelves while places in Cali, Ohio, Virginia, Rhode Island and Texas have them in good amounts. I don't know if its because of the overstock of older waves or just laziness by retailers to order newer stuff once it becomes available.

It sucked!!!!

I almost gave up on looking but struck gold before my hopes went down the drain. We never had a superfluous amount of Resolute Troopers, Cobra Eels or Blowtorches here in Maryland because of poor distribution problems in many areas; especially in the main Baltimore, Howard and Montgomery county regions. This last weekend I saw all of Wave 5 at the Super Kmart off of Oyster Point Rd. in Newport News,VA. However, any Kmart I go to in Maryland is stagnant with only Waves 1 and 2. Whenever there is a 2 for 1 or 2 for $10 sale at Kmart or TRU they don't restock with newer Joes so it defeats the purpose of looking.

I'm literally not even getting my hopes up too high for PoC stuff anymore. Most likely they'll repaint everything we've seen one hundred times and package it with vehicles or playsets we might like. Hasbro is jerking retailers off by making them believe that the same characters being placed in every assortment is good for the brand. Thats the most backasswards way to see a brand succeed by making people get sick of redundancy. HASBRO, please go back to the strategy of the 1980's and make awesome vehicles that accomodate the figures instead of these ranky dank off scaled vehicles that only fit one figure. Jeesh... thats just my rant...sorry about that...

I'm not a customiser myself. I always feared ruining my figures so I never even attempted anything. I've always been kind of a purist anyway..if it wasn't "official" Hasbro product it didn't interest me. However, I wanted a 25th style Slaughter pretty bad. I bought the BNB one as well as Bench-Press and I switched heads. It was so easy and it looks great. There was no cutting involved. Trust me, if I can do it ANYBODY could do it.

I'll give you the #5 DVD pack but the rest of the stuff came in decent amounts. I found them more than 4 times (w11, 12 and 13). Same can be said for the vehicles. Although I feel like an idiot now for passing on the Boat.

This is what I was told to do and it worked fine:
Stick the slaughter head in a coffee cup with water. Put in the microwave for about thee minutes. Once out take a pair of needle nose plyers and yank the peg out. (Mine popped right out no problem). Then twist the Slaughter head onto the Bench-Press body until snug. I used the tip of a screwdriver to round out the Slaughter head but that might not be necessary.
Head fit snug and turns like it was made for the body.
Use nail polish remover to remove tattoo and ROC logo on BP body (if you wish..I like it better without that stuff)
Use the BP head on Breaker for a more "classic" look.

cooking temp..use your best judgement on time. I did mine for three minutes and yes it made the head soft but it didn't melt or anything like that. I imagine it would have to be cooking a real long time to melt. Try a minute or so...that might be long enough.

I haven't picked up anything RoC related in a long time. The last thing I got was a Night Adder about three weeks ago at Walmart. I'm waiting about two months for the upcoming PoC figures that are in Walmart's system (Desert Zartan, Jungle SS, Desert Ripcord, Arctic Assault Duke) for 2010 release. I think Arctic Assault Doc and Shipwreck should be coming out near March with the Wave 3 Alpha vehicles. I can definitely wait for everything since nothing else Resolute will be coming out next year in retail stores (excluding the internet exclusive 7-packs).

$11 is a lot of $$$ for a fig that is just a repaint/variant. Especially when there is a high probability he will show up in greater numbers at less expensive retailers in a few weeks.

Odd, I've yet to see a CVS carry a GI Joe figure. $11 may seem like a lot, but at least you can complete your collection. Kamakura is the only one I have still yet to see in a Walgreens or anywhere else.

We passed through Bowie, but they only had the Target Rescue packs for $13.98 so I passed. It's $9.98 or less for me after buying two when they first came out. The one Past/Present set was still full price.

Hallmark is weird up here. The one in Bowie was completely empty of ornaments because they were pulled & returned. Back home that wouldn't happen. I guess I'll have to check on the road to find an extra Galaga ornament and a outdoor grill that was pretty close to 1/18th scale.

i was out yesterday and checked the walmart off 223 and the one in waldorf. don't go to the one off 223, it's an absolute wreck.
waldorf had a bottom shelf of night ravens and plenty of 12" figures in the garden section.

went to collector's castle in Towson Mall and they have some 25th Anniversary stuff on sale. I suggest if you are in the area please hit them up since today is their last day of business. They had the Target battle set with the Mobat , HISS Tank and Short Fuse as well as the DVD packs, and single figures. I also picked up Iron Fist and Sasquatch variants from the ML Apocalypse BAF wave.

Walmart is awesome right now though!!! They have most of the RoC stuff on sale. I pasted on army building night creepers for $7.00 a pop with those 2-packs. I am running low on space and I'm more interested in getting newer stuff instead of the existing stock of rehashed 25th Anniversary figures. Skywarp is still $60!!! I was so pissed I didn't bother looking at more stuff. One of my buddies that works for Walmart tells me that I should check there frequently for new stuff since they occasionally have things on pegs before the official release date. They also expect to get a whole lot of Hasbro shipments around late January to replenish the now empty pegs which means we should wait a little while for the new MU and RoC Wave 6 figure assortments...

well I wouldn't say I'm totally leaving 100%. I still dabble in vintage toys but I just felt the 25th/ME/ROC stuff has run it's course. I started losing interest over the summer and would buy strictly out of habit only to turn around and sell it a month or two later. It just feels good to walk into a store and not immediately hit the toy aisle. If something is out that looks cool I'll buy it...I'm just not going to allow myself to get sucked back in and hit EVERY store up and down 97.

saw the Whie Coat Rex at CVS on Harford rd again. I'm thinking it may be the same one I saw before. It's on the back of a peg stocked up with something other than Joe's. lol... I think it the grand scheme of things those of us who have participated in the "hobby" for years tend to lose sight of what GI Joe is... it's a toyline... for kids. If they can sell more toys with a gimmick aimed at kids, they'll make it. No need to research and poll the adult collectors if they are aiming it at kids... which has been the focus of the line since the movie line debuted. Yes, they have some nods to the past but in order to keep the line on toy shelves they need a new generation to get into it and love it as much as we do/have.
I have a 5 year old on board and when my 8 month old is old enough, you know I'll be getting him into it!!! :-)

Sadly since the Past & Present, TFs and XWings are not on those aisles but endcaps they don't count for the clearance. I checked with an employee and she told me those would not get the 75% treatment.

Picked up Venom from the new Spiderman wave in TRU of Columbia today. It was $7.99 and not too bad of a figure.

I passed on the City and Jungle Strike ripcord vehicles for $15. The boxes are extremely small for a vehicle class size and should be around $9-$10 all fairness.

MP Skywarp is still $60 at Walmart. Why is it in clearance if the price isn't reduced, arrrghhh!!!!

I have checked like 4 different TJ Maxx's and Marshall's between Hagerstown and Harrisburg. None of them had the single pack figs.

One did have some 25th vehicles, including the Air Chariot, which I almost got. But in comparing my desire for the toy with the length of the line, my wasted time waiting in the line won out and I put it back.

Except for DVD Pack #5, which I found on 2 separate occasions (after multiple hits and misses at the store), I never hit the Marshall's/TJ Maxx stores at the right time.

Good luck!!! I only ever found one back in November. Haven't seen it since and target has clearanced all that stuff out. If you can find any at all the last time I saw any exclusives on the shelf the were 6.xx each. I'm gonna hit Target today around 1. If they have the jet pack I'll get it.

My Target got a ton of the wave 2 exclusives but they vanished after the clearance period. However, I never saw Waves 4-5 at any Target in MD. Walmarts and the temporary holiday toy stores in malls had plentiful amounts of CS SE and company from Waves 4-5 during Novenmber but that supply has now vanished too. According to Hasbro, all waves receive equal distribution in all areas of each state. To me I don't know how they can account for it because some waves STILL never appeared from the 25th anniversary run. Anyways, happy hunting my MD fam.

The TRU exclusive Sting Raider was there for $20 as well as the rest of RoC Waves 4-5. I also picked up the Target exclusive Tie Fighter for $9.98 today. They had a ton of the Past and Present sets for $6.25 which I pasted on because I don't need anymore Snowjobs.

I also ventured to TJ Maxx in Towson yesterday. They have a decent selection of everything! I picked up a Darth Talon vs. Cade Skywalker comic 2-pk for $6.99. These were just $12.88 at Target three months ago! Something tells me those MU Secret Wars comic packs are coming to stores like these this year also...

Target Annapolis has the RHINO for $24xx and the big Tie Fighter for $19xx....there were about 6 of each left as of 3pm today

oh yeah...the ROC figures were red tagged $3xx but not all of them were stickered...maybe some returns from another store? Didn't scan any of them...didn't care.
