This thread is meant to give a "second look" at figures with bright paint schemes. I'd like to spotlight the ones that actually deserve some recognition.

Let's get to it!

Well that's not fair, you picked Blowtorch.
I'm going to go with the version 1 Alley Viper. I think the camo pattern is different. I wouldn't wear it, but it's different.

Not sure if its neon or not.Alley Viper V1.Orange/blue for urban camo...that kills me.I would love to have a squad of them.

Yeah. ^^^ I love it!

There's so many fans out there with this tunnel-vision-type hatred of everything neon, but at the same time there's an army of v.1 Alley Vipers in their basement. :D It's priceless.

I've always had a love/hate thing for Alley Viper. Great figure...awful colors!

I'd say '88 Shockwave. Not sure if it actually qualifies as "neon", but that bright baby blue is silly for a SWAT uniform. Great figure though. Just look at how much better the '89 Night Force repaint was!

Mirage v1....ok all of the Mega Marines. if only because at the time that was the closest GI Joe got to authentic military figures. And they're badass.

I'd have to say Mercer V2. I like him better than V1. I hope this fits into the Day Glow stuff.

Some of those were just bad. Like Ice Cream Soldier. Dear god the late 80's early 90's were bad on the wardrobe.

Sci-Fi... cool figure, I liked him in the cartoon, but wow his outfit! He's even more Battleforce 2000 than Battleforce 2000.

The best neon colored figure is Toxo-Zombie! Get one up close and look at the sculpt...it is by far the most detailed sculpt I have ever seen on an old Joe. If it wasn't for the horrible paint job, it would be perfect!

Once I find the correct green paint I can finish my repainting project on Toxo-Zombie and I'll be able to post pics for you guys

Anyone thats been dyed black. LOL. No seriously they were all cool just bad colors. Give them all realistic colors and even the Ice Cream Soldier looks good.

I don't care if blowtorch has been mentioned...several times. Just watched The Thing...1982, Kurt Russell. I WANT BLOWTORCH!

Great movie. Heaviest use of a flamethrower in any movie.

Cobra Eel v2. Totally wouldn't blend into the water, but hey, it looked cool! Gotta love those fin/blades down the arms and legs!
