If it wasn't Hollywood's 3rd crack at this story I might be more interested.

Also, Will Smith is alright...but can he fill the shoes of Charlton Heston? I doubt it.

the screenplay that was floating around Hollywood 10 years ago was fantastic, when it was supposed to be an Arnold flick, but would have cost too much to make.

this one looks pretty good, but apparently has undergone major changes from that script, so while I am interested in seeing it, having read that other script I am not that terribly excited because I know how great it could have been.

At first I was a little upset that Hollywood took another one of my stories that I wrote and made a movie out of it... then I heard that it's a remake. Hahaha!

I had never heard or seen anything about this movie before I wrote my own story... it's weird how similar they ended up being.

Oh well, at least I know my writing is good. :)

Yeah the original was with Vincent Price, called Last Man On Earth, a good movie. They took the "vampire" route with that one. WM has the dvd for a buck. The second, with Charlton Heston was the Omega Man, which took things up a notch and ditched the vampire theme. Can't wait to see what direction they're going with the Will Smith version, although from the production pics, the infected look to be based on some kinda CG.

It's so weird, but "Last Man on Earth" was the name of my short story...

No wonder everyone thought I was plagiarizing. I SWEAR I had never even heard of it before I wrote it, haha, it was a strange coincidence. The "creature" in my story was a starving grizzly bear however.

Omega Man was great....

Will Smith is the worst, most overated "actor" to walk this earth. How this clown get's work, is beyond me.

the guy tries so hard to be funny..he reaches with ever line delivered, it's truly sad. that guy has NEVER made me laugh in my life...not even a chuckle.

...horrible.

I personally like him. The movie looks like it'll be cool, I've heard of the originals before but never saw them. I think I'll wait till AFTER I see this newest version

I'm looking forward to this movie, the first 2 were great movies. I loved both, they are a very different take on what you would imagine this story to be, however the Will smith version looks to be a purely action flick, without the political overtones of the first 2, I hope it's just an action trailer, but I fear the worst.

I'm also looking forward to it. I don't exactly have any big expections, other than I hope it's reasonably enjoyable.
