Am I the only one with a soft spot for these little guys?

Nope... You should see all the stuff I bought my daughter.

I bought my wife a bunch of those Target exclusive ones when the movie came out. If I had enough space, I'd probably be collecting them myself.

TRUs got some 4 packs set up by year that I've been interested in.

One of 'em has the Black Smurf which I never got as a kid but always wanted.

Not at all, I love Smurfs and if you want to know the truth I spazzed out when they finally released Smurf's Christmas this past season. Great disc.

I LOVED the cartoon and still get a kick out of it. Had a bunch of the little figurines when I was much younger--that was "pre-MOTU" of course.

I didn't see the movie, I will eventually, the idea of it not taking place in some hidden village during a medieval times just made it alot less interesting to me at this point.

But yeah...Smurfs are cool.

I enjoy the Smurfs as well. About 2 years ago when they were releasing the vintage version by Jakks, I got my daughter the complete set so that we could play with as we watched the rereleased DVDs. That was when she was about 2.5 -3. She loved them. I told her that Vanity Smurf was my favorite as a joke one time, and everytime she played with that one, she called him "Dada Smurf." So it stuck. For those not in the know, this is Vanity nextto Smurfette...

Grouchy is my favorite original. Tracker Smurf (with the red feather) was my "new Smurfs" favorite. In High-school I talked a reluctant drama classmate into performing a version of an old Smurf book of mine called SmurfCake. ...and I used to read all the old comics I could get my hands on :) Worst Smurf moment- Smurf The Movie- not the new one... Smurfs and the Magic Flute... hearing all their voices distorted and "off" on the big screen was totally devastating. I've yet to have time to see the new movie- but also would have preferred traditional medieval times.

Target has the special packs (Papa Smurf and Lab, Clumsy and Bridge) clearanced for 50 percent off right now. The movie grab-em figures are pretty cool and don't take up much space at all

I like the Smurfs. I picked up the full set of them at Target when they came out for the movie. Oh, and I also like Zombies. :D

I wasn't a fan of the new figures made for the movie. Just not as good as the classic.

Have 0 desire to see the movie either.

My wife and I tried to force our girls to go see the Smurfs movie, but they wouldn't budge. We ended up having to wait for the DVD so we wouldn't be the only adults without kids in the theater.

We both used to love the show, and the old Atari 2600 video game.
