damn pensions....

Yes damn the common worker for expecting to be paid for what they were contracted and worked their whole lives earning. Better to pretend it's free money they're stealing from decent CEO's and their golden parachutes.

What you don't hear daily is that the Post Office wouldn't have a problem paying their bills if it weren't for congress. Never mind the false assumption that it's funded by tax dollars when it actually supports itself.

I think Zingers taste better, but Twinkies have better marketing. Hostess is all american and I grew up with Twinkie the Kid, Captain Cupcake, and Mayor Ding Dong.

No wonder I'm fat.

See Roland. I think what he should have included in his post is how much money someone in the private sector would have to bring to the table to be able to be guaranteed a revenue stream that a pension does working in the public sector. Then you start to see the whole picture. Taking it 1 step further who pays for those pensions? The private sector. Yet the private sector worker is expected to put money aside out of their pay checks for retirement. Heaven forbid some douchie government worker would have to do the same. Heaven forbid.

believe it. zingers rule. at one point years ago they came in 4 packs- it was a challenge, but ya had to man up and take em down- sharing or saving one for later is not an option.
my only beef was they never had a pack with a chocolate and vanilla one. don't make me choose!

I remember Dolly Madison had them. I recently saw Hostess started carrying them. I remember being able to buy a pack for a quarter...a whole pack for...a quarter. I feel old.

I haven't had either in 2 decades, but as a kid, I LOVED putting Zingers in the fridge and eating them cold. Damn that was good.

I still think 47 cents or whatever is too cheap. That's a lot of time and handling for 1 letter going potentially coast to coast. You'll never hear me gripe about the cost of a stamp. I think they should be a buck at least for first class--not bulk.
