Does anyone else remember these suction cup robots??

I always wanted these as a kid but I think my parents were having none of it because I know I never had them.

Now as an irresponsible adult I can buy whatever I want and I'm finding them pretty damn cheap on ebay.....anyone else dig these?

I remember them coming out, but never liked them.
It shows how old i am, when they came out and i first saw them i thought, ugh what a cheap rip off of Zeroids. (which came out a few years before i was born, but were still on the shelves when i was about 4 or 5 and i still have them now.)

Zeroids for you youngsters :) 1969 Ideal Zeroid Action Set Solar Cycle and Pad w/Box | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1969-Ideal-Zeroid-Action-Set-Solar-Cycle-and-Pad-w-Box-/350369357413?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5193a41e65)

My folks bought me a generic Darth Vader, c3po, r2d2, and flying saucer at sears when I was a kid. They were mego sized and it took years for me to track down what they were- these things always came up when I tried doing Google search. It was actually Zeroid and Star hawk of S.T.A.R team with Knight of Darkness

YES! Ha! That's them. I remember my mom trying to convince me it was Darth Vader. The UFO was pretty cool. Some of my earliest Star Wars toy memories aren't even Star Wars toys :) My first big Star Wars birthday party was decorated in Battlestar Galactica stuff

I freaking LOVE the Robo Force and have since I was a kid!

You can check out i-mockery's Robo Force site for some info and pics: The OFFICIAL Robo Force Page: Warrior Robots With Crusher Arms And Gripper Bases (http://www.i-mockery.com/roboforce/)

I had the entire line as a kid and still have it today. In fact I have probably 2 of every robot, the Fortress of Steele, and all three vehicles, and a ton of weapons and such. I also have the box for the Dred Crawler.

Someone earlier in the thread mentioned Zeroids. Believe it or not, Ideal owned both toy lines so the Robo Force was in many ways the successor to the Zeroids.

When Moonstone Comics put out some Zeroids comics a few years back, I got in touch with their publisher, and through them, got in touch with their rep for the old Ideal brands including Zeroids. I was looking to buy the rights to the Robo Force but sadly he did not know who owned those rights any longer since Ideal broke up.

Also, The Old Robots has a great Robo Force section, including the unproduced figures.

Robo Force by CBS Toys - The Old Robot's Web Site (http://www.theoldrobots.com/maxxacc.html)

I can't find it now but I have saved on my other computer the scans from the second catalog for the Robo Force, which includes some pictures of the new body style robots doing their tilting thing, plus Nazgar doing his growing gimmick. I'll have to locate those.

Still looking for the catalog scans, but I did take this picture of my Robo Force collection this morning!

I've got at least one of each robot, plus the Fortress of Steele, Command Patroller, Robo Crusier, and Dred Crawler (you can see it's red clamp wrapped around Blaster on the right). I also have a box for the Dred Crawler and one of the minicomics as well.

I had 3 off these guys. As I recall the suction cup feature never worked to well for me. I still enjoyed them though.
