i said years ago, if hasbro would make a stop animation using the new toys and aired it on tv, that would be a hit, plus the kids would want the toys in the show and would want em when they seen em in the stores.. it would be a win win. but know one ever listens to the guy that knows what he's talking about.

was that the only one?
but yeah I can see why that was not used for ROC.......cuz none of the toys were going to be made....or remade..for ROC!

I would listen to the guy who knew what he was talking about were such a person to exist.

Am I the only one that noticed CC kept changing outfits? Everytime it cut to him he was different. Cloak, hood, helmet...
Also, how sure are you that it was actually sanctioned by Hasbro? I have my doubts. Voices and dialogue were woeful, CC's continuity, and they used M&C Toy's products.

Watch part 2. It says it was prodced by Paramount and etc. I just randomly found a wiki article talking about Viral Marketing for ROC, and this was linked.

Its a deliberate joke done by the creator. A bit of comic relief and a nod to the source material. Amusing, if a little distracting, tho i enjoyed it :D

Yep, this is one awesome video...this video is the reason why I still hunt 25th Anniv Joes that I missed. Although it comes with a price (ebay), good thing I almost have the main cast of the 25th line.

Yep. Adult Swim had nothing to do with this. This was commissioned by Hasbro/Paramount to advertise the toys and the upcoming movie.
I'm really surprised about this thread because they've been on Youtube for over two years.

Hey all, thanks for all the kind words regarding Cobra Island…
It was loads of fun to do.
Having said that, I just wanted to take an informal poll on how many of you would like to see another one that delivers cooler effects and humor done in a far more subtle way, featuring many of the Joe characters that were not in the first. *Loads more action of course. Again a mixing of the original Marvel comics and the Sunbow cartoon is always the goal for us.

YES PLEASE!
Seriously, that was awesome. I can't believe I hadn't seen it already.
Looks like you guys had a blast doing it, too!
I don't know about anyone else... Actually, I think it's safe to say that EVERYONE here likes this and you should really hit up Paramount/Hasbro hard to do another, or even better, a series of these.
I'll subscribe to the YouTube channel for sure!
Again, really great work putting that all together.
SO glad I found this thread today. Thanks!

Hey fellow tankers, I just wanted to give you a heads up that IF a Cobra Island follow up happens, it is going to be a bit of an uphill battle, so we will need some grass roots support. So please spread the word. We have set up a twitter account and will be showing some stills from the proposed sequel. https://twitter.com/cobraisland1 Hopefully that link works right. Vallen (Rupe)

If you were indeed responsible for this, I would PAY for more episodes. Puppetry/stop motion animation/action figures are my favorite things. And I love to work on something like this... Dream come true.

In all fairness, last time I researched the people behind invasion was a professional production company. that is not to say that one person can't do the same if he/she is multi-talented.
