First in case you guys didn't know. I was completely out of touch with GI JOE from 1994-2007. The 25th anny figures is what brought me back. I picked up a copy of Valor vs Venom on DVD. The movie was made in 04. I watched it twice last week and I must admit, I really liked it. I felt that Cobra Commander and Mindbender were very well played. The joe team was very well done, SE was still a badass. Gung Ho was my favorite joe in the movie. The story reminded me of Serpentor, but overall it was very entertaining. I would like to see the Spy Troops movie now that was make the year before. Has anyone seen both of these? Is Spy Troops worth watching?

They weren't too bad. i remember getting a kick out of Spy Troops, and VvV was neat. I wish they would have went this route instead of s6

yeah that was a little annoying. The voice director took the name a little too literal eh? At least Wild Bill had the correct voice.

I think that if the serpentor story (arise and the Movie) were rewritten with elements of VvV it would make a better story. I never was a complete fan of the later story lines after Pyramid of Darkness.

Sigma Six loosely ties into the SpyTroops, VvV, and Ninja Battles(though not really a full length, more like 5 minutes or so of actual animated footage) series.
There is a movie version of that out as well.

True because Hawk was still recovering from becomming V. Maximus. But still S6 was a big fail.. Duke had the worst Voice acting ever. Wasn't Hasbro talking about redubbing s6 at some point?

They redubbed the first few episodes and put them out in Movie form on dvd a long time ago.

Hey if anyone lives near a Dollar General, I saw both VvV and Spytroops on dvd and vhs (lol) also had some old 2005 small card joes
in case you are interested
I have both the spytroops and VvV movies. I like them both and watch them all the time. Personally I like spytroops better even if it is a bit shorter. I think I'm possibly one of the only people on the tank who actually really likes the sigma six cartoon. I really don't think it's that bad.(but it's definitely not the original joe) I'd say own both VvV and spytroops movies cause they're awesome.
I have both but being biased towards GI Joe, I thought VvV was alright... But it's like trying to play an old Playstation game or Nintendo 64 game... old school CG, a bit campy but all in all, it was alright. I haven't watched Spytroops yet. Forgot if I bought that from eBay or it came from the Snake Eyes vs. Storm Trooper figures but nevertheless, I haven't finished it yet...so many years later, I should get myself to watch it completely sooner. I actually started it again last week but 20 min. and I fell asleep.

I've seen the VvsV movie, G.I. JOE The Movie '87, and Ninja Battles. And the Sigma 6 cartoon a few times on tv. It's too bad Ninja Battles was so short. I've never seen Spytroops, I'lll have rent it soon. I'm probably in the minority, I loved the '87 G.I. Joe movie.

Spy Troops is great. Heck, even the music was pretty good, and even slightly addictive. The part with SE and SS's grenade pin MUST be in a live action movie, it was so completely awesome!!!
Also, Scott McNeal (spelling?) as Destro?!?!? Dude, that means he did Dinobot, Silverbolt, Rattrap, Waspinator and Destro, plus Koga and Hoenhiem of Light?!?!? They guy's a legend.

Beachhead has the same exact voice as Ironhide from Transformers Energon! Same voice actor.
I have both Spy Troops & VvV. I love both of them. I just watched Spy Troops this morning. Best part is when Shipwreck impersonates Cobra Commander & Polly makes the Cobra troops get him crackers. That part is hilarious. The real Cobra Commander loses his &^$%# mind! LMAO

i have both, i remember findin spytroops at tha TRU near me for $5. i liked spytroops so much more than VvV. they shouldve made spytroops longer, like another hour maybe. it had good music, some good fights, couldve been a lot more tho. i think i watched it like 3 times tha weekend i bought it. tha thing i didnt like about VvV was tha uniforms and designs of tha characters, still good flick tho.

The best parts were all of Cobra Commander's scenes.
And this is my favorite Mindbender.

I liked Valor Vs. Venom, but it pales in comparison to Action Man X-Missions (also by REEL F/X). You have to see X Missions if you enjoyed Valor Vs. Venom.
